Pregnancy

Apparently my husband has absolutely no idea how the female body works!

This happened last night and it honestly had me rolling about the place laughing.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby. I’m 21 weeks today. Our sex life since I’ve become pregnant has honestly been as good as ever. Passionate and loving a few times a week. Last night in bed I roll over and start “trying it on” as such and he gives me the cold shoulder. This has NEVER happened before so naturally I was worried, did he not find my pregnant body attractive any more? I press him on it and he doesn’t say a lot, all I get was “I’m just not in the mood”. I refuse to accept this so I press him more until he FINALLY admits he’s been reading the baby’s development week by week and he read that the baby learns to grab this week, they will start grabbing their ears, nose and umbilical cord..

Turns out he’s TERRIFIED the baby is going to grab his dick during sex!!! 😭😂 i could hardly breathe through the laughing to explain this isn’t possible!

My husband is honestly the most intelligent person I know, very well educated.. but I think he needs to go back and sit some secondary school biology lessons!!

I haven't read through all of the comments just the first few and was already pissed off!
Why are people such dickheads??
Clearly she's shared the post in Jest and taking the piss out of her husband for being so stupid.
I personally think it's really funny as a lot of men worry about things like this but out come the trolls, the feminists and the "I'm offended" commenting.
Lighten up abit it's clearly a joke and has no effect on your life in the slightest bit!!
Just because he's clever and educated doesn't mean he's got common sense 😂 clearly.
My husband is intelligent but still comes out with the most stupid of comments as do we all 😊

@FlowerPig

I spy some of the same negative nellys that were being rude on my earlier post too.

I was considering never posting on here again but if they can be the same on this post it says more about them than me!!

I wonder how shit life has to be to feel the need to be so miserable and serious online all the time?

The story made me laugh OP!! Grin

I feel you. I once wrote a post on here and the trolls came out 🙄🙄 actually made me laugh quite a bit as I could see how uptight they were and I was just baiting them 🎣😂

It's a light hearted story for Gods sake. We all have stupid moments throughout life... I can't imagine how uptight someone must be to never have experienced saying something silly or 'uneducated' as someone said earlier.

OP don't let the negative nellys get to you! It's a funny story, thanks for sharing. And I hope you enjoyed your shag! 😏

@DrinkFeckArseGirls

If the OP didn’t press why the unusual refusal, she wouldn’t have found out the stupid reason behind it. Now she’s educated her husband and they can go back to shagging 🤷‍♀️

She could have asked him the next day after taking no for no. It’s wrong for either partner to continue press for a “good reason” to say no to sex after the person has 1) not physically responded, but gave the cold shoulder and 2) also said they are not in the mood. In fact, either one by itself means no. While the reason #3 was “stupid”, the OP ignored #1 and #2 which were clear communication of no consent. She didn’t have to keep pressuring him for sex right then in the moment.

It’s also very disturbing to set a precedent that you must say yes to sex unless you have a reason good enough for your partner to accept. That is an unhealthy relationship.

He still might not want to though, despite her explanation. My husband refused once he could feel the baby moving - fair enough.

I’m afraid I (and his mum, and his sister) couldn’t resist taking the piss out of him about that one

Surely it was his parents fault for not educating him correctly though? Why was the mum taking the piss out of him, when it was her fault that he didn't know?

@borntobequiet

You wear a bikini in a birthing pool?
TBF such things didn’t exist in my birthing days, and I’m quite pleased they didn’t. Life is so complicated nowadays.

That’s why I said first baby...obvs when it came to it she didn’t care at all what she was wearing 🤣

OP, it's brilliant. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Sorry you and your husband seem to have been piled on by many PPs.

I think it’s hilarious and I can guarantee that some of the brilliant academic minds I work with (HE sector) would think similar.
I’ve lost count of the number of bleeding obvious things I’ve had to explain to professors over the years including How to use email and How to buy a train ticket. I kid you not.
Brilliantly intelligent and yet thick as shit Grin

@Calabasa

the sanitary towel sticking to us and not our underwear is a common misconception.. there's a young black guy on tiktok who does videos explaining the 'mysteries' of the female body for guys his age, and he has one on this very thing.

The comment section is hilarious.

You can be intelligent and not know stuff like this if you've never been taught it and never thought to educate yourself on it.

Ignorance in a particular area doesn't make you stupid!

Black guy? Not just a guy??Confused

Itseems quite common that blokes worry about the baby somehow 'feeling' sex happen. Not my DH, he was actually very keen on DTD when I was preggers!

My friend was shopping for a bikini to wear in the birthing pool for her hospital bag (first baby!) and her DH held up a one piece. She had to remind him that practically speaking it might not the best outfit to give birth in 🤣

If he thought his penis could reach the baby then why was he OK having sex with you? 🤮🤮🤮

I think he had just only read something that made him thinking this weird thought. I'm not only gobsmacked at the OP's DH but at some of the stupid comments some people are making.

In Kitty Kelly's biography of Nancy Reagan she tells that Reagan's relationship with her daughter was awful and she told her daughter that at her birth she had held on to her mother's ribs to prevent being born!
