Pregnancy

Apparently my husband has absolutely no idea how the female body works!

This happened last night and it honestly had me rolling about the place laughing.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby. I’m 21 weeks today. Our sex life since I’ve become pregnant has honestly been as good as ever. Passionate and loving a few times a week. Last night in bed I roll over and start “trying it on” as such and he gives me the cold shoulder. This has NEVER happened before so naturally I was worried, did he not find my pregnant body attractive any more? I press him on it and he doesn’t say a lot, all I get was “I’m just not in the mood”. I refuse to accept this so I press him more until he FINALLY admits he’s been reading the baby’s development week by week and he read that the baby learns to grab this week, they will start grabbing their ears, nose and umbilical cord..

Turns out he’s TERRIFIED the baby is going to grab his dick during sex!!! 😭😂 i could hardly breathe through the laughing to explain this isn’t possible!

My husband is honestly the most intelligent person I know, very well educated.. but I think he needs to go back and sit some secondary school biology lessons!!

My ex thought women climaxed when the flaps touch the clitoris, you couldn’t make it up.

No wonder men gormlessly announce 'we are pregnant' when they have this poor a grasp of women's biology.

If he went to school at all then he would know this isn't possible. No, he doesn't sound intelligent at all.

Your husband actually thought yout 21 week old foetus could reach out your womb, into your vagina and grab his penis?

Seriously, that’s what he thought?

That’s not even mildly amusing, it’s actually concerning he could be so uneducated and lacking in common sense.

Calabasa · 13/09/2020 17:17

the sanitary towel sticking to us and not our underwear is a common misconception.. there's a young black guy on tiktok who does videos explaining the 'mysteries' of the female body for guys his age, and he has one on this very thing.

The comment section is hilarious.

You can be intelligent and not know stuff like this if you've never been taught it and never thought to educate yourself on it.

Ignorance in a particular area doesn't make you stupid!

Well that's terrifying. Sorry to break it to you, but your husband is an imbecile.

Hahahahaha

Although, we stopped quite early on with my daughter because she would get angry and “kick back” if she was even slightly disturbed which really ruined any chance of getting a nice rhythm going.

Whereas you think it’s acceptable to use a disablist slur?

If someone says they’re not in the mood it’s best to respect that and leave them to it

That's my first thought. You "refused to accept" and kept pressing him. That's worrying OP. I HATE it when my DH won't take no for an answer and keeps asking me "why" I don't want sex. Unwanted sexual pressure can come from women too

This!! Great points!! It’s even more concerning than the ‘intelligent’ husband thinking the baby is going to grab his genitals! Perhaps if he were actually intelligent he’d tell you where to go when you were inappropriately pressing him about not wanting sex.

I didn't think 'penis beaker' or 'cutted up pear' was amusing either but, some posters were wetting themselves over it. OP thought this was lighthearted and it's fallen a bit flat but does it really need a pile on to tell her that she's not funny and has married somebody lacking intelligence/commonsense? That's pathetic and says a lot about the people posting the comments really.

Whirlpoolsedge, it would certainly make me wince!

I think it's funny, and honestly, there's a lot I still don't know about my own body, much less that of the opposite sex. I know what I need to know. The rest isn't necessary to my daily life, I have no interest in it (a bit squeamish about internal organs in general), and besides, that's what doctors are for.

I'm sure OP's husband isn't an idiot in every area of life. Hmm

Your husband said he wasn't in the mood but you refused to accept that?

Probably best to assume when someone says no that they mean no isn't it?

My exh hadn't seen a women's genitals until I was in labour..
He was 43 with a degree.

Assuming it was his baby that says a whole lot more about you than him. You had a baby with a man who'd never seen you naked Shock

@TheDragQueen

Tbf some women seem to think they pee out of their vagina.

That reminds me of that MRA who thought the solution to women urgently needing sanitary products when on their period was to "hold it in". It is startling how many supposedly intelligent men are so ignorant of female anatomy, like they've never bothered to educate themselves.

@BigThunderMountainRailroad, I think you have outed yourself as a sex pest who harrasses her poor husband by making repeated unnatural demands.

Report

My husband is honestly the most intelligent person I know, very well educated
then the explanation is clear, he see's women as incidental creatures, not fully human or important enough for him to bother learning anything about differences in biology
Men are the 'real' people, women are appendages to men etc
