@Cafeaulait27 it could be right if you ovulated over a week late. That would make sense why you only got a faint positive on the 3rd sept.

If you ovulated 14days after the start of you LMP on 2nd Aug - 3rd Sept would have been around 18dpo and you should've got a strong positive then and you only got a faint one.

Hope that makes sense. I am new to all this too but that's how I understand it.

I ovulated late so going from my lmp I am 6+6 but I know I ovulated late so I'm only 6+1.

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 11:21

@Rumples thank you! That is helpful. Do you think it sounds plausible that I ovulated on 24th when I would’ve had my period on the 31st? I had some spotting at this time which I thought was my period but later put down to implantation bleeding.

Do you think that makes sense?

I’ll shut up now - feel like I’m hijacking the thread haha.

Hope you are all ok! Xxx

Mrsp2be22 · 22/09/2020 11:27

Hi guys,

Am also due in May 2021. Also feeling so anxious about something going wrong.

Does anyone have any tips on how to stop the worry??

Rumples · 22/09/2020 11:36

@Cafeaulait27 I have regular 28 day cycles and my period was due 8 days after I ovulated so it can happen.

I think the positive test being so faint on 3rd September does make it look accurate.

Annoying that it put you back a week or so but at least you seen a heartbeat ☺️.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 11:42

@Mrsp2be22 I feel v anxious cause its so early but I just try to think im doing all I can. That a large part of the first wee while is just luck or bad luck but Im doing what I can

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 11:49

@Rumples thank you, this has put my mind at rest a bit!! It’s all so confusing haha. Thank you ☺️☺️

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 11:52

@Mrsp2be22 welcome!! Totally normal to feel anxious. I do too especially as it’s my first pregnancy. Have you booked an early private scan? I would recommend it just for the first check that everything is ticking along ☺️

The only other advice I have is just to look after yourself and try to distract yourself so you don’t get stressed. Take it easy which is good for the baby too! And remember that you can’t control what happens in these early weeks other than looking after yourself and following pregnancy guidelines.

(I’m bad at following my own advice though sometimes, we all have good and bad days)! Xxx

Mrsp2be22 · 22/09/2020 11:53

Is anyone struggling to eat? I’ve totally gone off food and if I do eat it’s mainly carbs & naughty food!

Mrsp2be22 · 22/09/2020 11:55

Thank you! Yeah it’s my first. I’m planning to book an early scan but was waiting for my hospital letter first. I will prob book it for 8 weeks, so in 2 weeks time.

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t listen to their own advice!!

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 12:27

@Mrsp2be22 my appetite is much the same! ☺️

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 12:30

Here’s my scan report if anyone is interested! I’ve just queried a few things, will let you know what happens.

Hey ladies hope you are all well

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow and trying to not stress stay positive and enjoy my OH treating me like I'm fragile 😂😂

Hoping to book an early scan for around 8 weeks it's going to feel like ages to wait

🤞🏼

mummabubs · 22/09/2020 16:10

@Cafeaulait27 If it helps with my first pregnancy I had an early scan due to bleeding and was expecting to be 8+2 weeks but the scan measurement put me at 6+4, so similar 'reduction' to you. Everything was fine and I went to 42+2 Grin

Rascalia86 · 22/09/2020 17:21

I just want to eat all the time, but I'm not really craving anything yet, except egg mayo sandwiches.
The cramping is starting to calm finally. Can't wait for my scan next week! So excited! Am prepared if they say I'm not as far as I think thanks to everyone on here! 😊

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 17:30

@mummabubs that is so reassuring thank you!

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 17:32

Spoke to Window to the Womb on the phone and they also sent an email addressing my concerns, so I feel reassured now. They said there was nothing they were worried about with the scan, but I probably ovulated late because of pcos and explains why the baby is smaller. They also said I must be at the latter end of 5 weeks because there was a heart beat. He said the heart beat is a really good sign. So basically I think I just need to stop fretting and chill out!

I’ve had really bad headaches the past few days and still not sleeping from 3 or 4am onwards. So tired! Xxx

Cafeaulait27 · 22/09/2020 17:33

@Rascalia86 I hope you’re scan goes well! And I hope I haven’t worried you with my flapping lol xx

Gixxer · 22/09/2020 18:16

Hi everyone :) I am nearly 7 weeks pregnant. I had an internal scan as had abdo pain and there I got to see the baby’s heart beat. I am feeling very unwell with sickness. I can’t eat much but potatoes!

Rascalia86 · 22/09/2020 18:49

@Cafeaulait27 no, I'm not worried. 😊 if anything you've set my mind at ease. I wondered whether it was just me been a worrywart with the early scan, but this is my first pregnancy, and at 34 people have commented on how old I am for it to be my first, and how so many things can go wrong because of my age. I work in pharmacy so I know that for every bad story there's probably ten good ones. 😁

BabyDust13 · 23/09/2020 08:00

Got my 3+ this morning ladies on exactly 5 weeks

Hi ladies, I'm 7+3. IVF pregnancy so I know dates for sure. Due May 9th . This is my second pregnancy. I don't normally get morning sickness. Just this acidic feeling in the stomach. But it's normally mild so manageable.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 23/09/2020 09:07

Hello @lboogy and congratulations! Acidy and gassy is 100% how I feel!

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 23/09/2020 09:25

Hey all! Wanted to join, congrats to everyone. My EDD is May 4. Thought I'd got away with no symptoms (except feeling tired) but the morning sickness has hit hard this week, it's constant. Currently sipping ginger tea and hoping it subsides soon. Feeling lucky to be wfh as I've no idea how I'd manage this in an office! How's everyone else coping?

Lisha91 · 23/09/2020 09:36

Hi everyone 👋 new here.
I'm coming up to my 7th week (going from last period dates). I'm booked in for my 1st scan on 1st Oct. Really nervous. If dates correct I should be due 13th May.

Weeks 4/5/6 I had headaches, very sore boobs, randomly crying, little cramping in week 4 to 5 but now completely stopped. I've not had an appetite either. Not feeling sick yet though. But very tired, having day naps. ... Last few days boobs aren't as tender but still tired all the time.
I'm like everyone else, always checking when I wipe. I've had 3 prev MC so I'm extremely nervous.

What's everyone else's symptoms

leftitlate37 · 23/09/2020 10:06

Hi @Lisha91 sorry about your previous MCs. Cant imagine how anxious that must make u. I'm find exact same as u. I'm about 6+2 due 17th may, and had cramping and mild headaches so drank plenty and really really sore boobs. Slightly worried that least few days the cramping all gone, headaches gone, and one boob is a lot less tender than it was...the pain in them has also changed but cant really explain how. It's making me stress out that I feel so fine! Get pretty tired in afternoon but that might just me being lazy!!
I still have no appt lined up but might book an early private scan at 8 weeks to find out more. X
