I just found out I'm pregnant, estimated due date currently 11th May 2021

So excited!! Anyone else??

Is anyone first time mummas or is this baby #2, 3... ?? Xx

Hi all

I'm 7 weeks and at a private scan last week they told me my EDD would be 11th May! I've had 2 early miscarriages this year and this would be my first baby.

Very anxious and horribly sick! Although the sickness is helping the anxiety a bit as it's proof something is going on in there! It is getting in the way of my plan to try not to think about being pregnant until things are further along.

@leftitlate37
Hi 👋
It's like I can't get too excited which ruins it a little. I'll be getting excited once I have my appointment next Thursday though if all good news and we will be telling family.
I have been the exact same. Most of my symptoms are easing down a little which is so nerve wrecking. But I've found online that they come and go but no one tells you this so you have to find out for yourself. From a few things I've seen a lot of people's symptoms start going down a little in the weeks 6/7/8/9/10. How true that is I don't know. I'm still quite tired, boobs are only a little sore and seem to be mostly on the outer sides of the boobs. I've still got quite a few blue veins showing all over them though.. I'm just hoping that I'm one of the lucky ones that only gets mild symptoms. I'm just trying not to worry because there's nothing I can do, it's all down to my body. X

lboogy · 23/09/2020 11:22

@Thedaydreambelievers, glad I'm not alone. And congratulations too!

Rumples · 23/09/2020 11:36

@leftitlate37 just noticed we're due on the same date, I'm 6+2 too ☺️.

Hi @Lisha91 👋🏻 I've had the same as you really, sore boobs, cramping (one night was really bad and kept me awake but it's calmed down now) and tiredness. Started to feel queasy this morning too but that has eased off.

Sorry to hear about your 3 MC's. Fingers crossed this time around 🤞

TametheDragon · 23/09/2020 11:51

Is there room for me?
I had my first inkling of a BFP a week ago, it took me until the weekend to process it was actually happening!
First pregnancy after 4 years of trying, and a failed fresh round of IVF. This time is a result of a frozen embryo transfer.
Feels very surreal!
My husband is 3000 miles away and not home until xmas so really feel that we are missing out on sharing a special time that we have waited so long for Sad Telling him he was going to be a daddy over a patchy wifi connection was not how I imagined it to be!

bloomety · 23/09/2020 14:04

Hi everyone. Hope I can join. I am due 22nd May. I'm 5+4 today and have been experiencing very mild period type cramps. I got these when I miscarried in June. so freaking out a bit.

Mrsp2be22 · 23/09/2020 17:07

@AtLeastThreeDrinks I completely agree about wfh. I dont know how I would deal with being in the office, my sickness lasts all day!!

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 23/09/2020 17:16

Rough isn't it @Mrsp2be22! The ginger tea came back up but mint stayed down Grin I'd been doing so well with fruit and veg but I can only stomach beige foods at the mo –don't think it's helping the lethargy! Hope yours eases up soon. I'm impressed by all the women who hide this while working full-time with others!

mummabubs · 23/09/2020 18:37

Just wanted to say that the nausea got bad enough today that I decided to purchase some sea bands from Boots. I'd found a peer reviewed article about their effectiveness from a clinical trial of 70 people (as I have to confess I was really sceptical about acupressure and whether they actually do anything or whether it's a placebo effect)... I started wearing them when nausea crept back at about 4pm and 15 minutes later I was nearly crying with joy. I don't care at this point whether it's a placebo effect or not, they really have made a difference in the last 2 hours- I've managed to eat food that isn't toast and I'm kicking myself for not buying these during my first pregnancy!!

mummabubs · 23/09/2020 18:42

@TametheDragon Huge congratulations! That sounds really challenging being away from your husband, do you have any really close friends or family that you wouldn't mind knowing at this stage just so you've got some 'real life' local support too? Our family don't know yet as I have a medical condition that makes miscarriage more likely in the first trimester but I have told work colleagues who have been incredibly supportive. (I had to tell them anyway as they're currently having to listen to my frequent toilet dashes to either wee yet again or be sick!) Blush

Mrsp2be22 · 23/09/2020 19:10

@mummabubs Thank you for this!! I've just bought some & hope they have the same effect.

Just today I have found drinking ginger ale has really helped my sickness in the afternoon/eve!

mummabubs · 23/09/2020 20:31

@Mrsp2be22 I hope they make a difference for you too. I feel mildly uncomfortable now and still v bloated but lots better than this time yesterday. I also swear by ginger cordial. I remember last time drinking a lot of supermarket ginger beer before realising it was all ginger flavouring and wasn't making a blind bit of difference. The bellevue cordial is literally ginger essence and pureed ginger so it's fiery but does work!

TametheDragon · 23/09/2020 22:24

@mummabubs I’m glad you’ve got supportive colleagues, and hope that you’re soon spending less time in the toilet! Fingers crossed that everything works out for you.
I’ve told my sister and a couple of close friends/colleagues. I’ve got a viability scan in a fortnight (at 6+4) and will be hopefully be telling our parents after that provided that it is where it should be and has a heartbeat. I did this transfer in secret from family and if I wait much longer to tell them I’ll be running out of ways to dodge questions about when I’m having treatment next Blush

Amelia891 · 24/09/2020 06:10

Good luck to everyone who have scans coming up 🤞🏼 I’ve just booked one for next weds so I’ll be 8+3. Few symptoms again here but defiantly less than last time so far. Boobs have got bigger, I’m getting tired really easily and I keep getting waves of sickness in the evening but haven’t actually been sick. Thanks for the bands tip @mummabubs! I have some from travel sickness journeys in the past so will dig them out.

What vitamins is everyone taking? I’ve been taking pregnacare plus so far but they are expensive and also massive to swallow. I’m also getting up 3 x per night to pee already and I’m wondering if it’s because I’m taking them in the evening? Has anyone found any other good ones they would recommend?

CatLady20 · 24/09/2020 06:24

@Amelia891 I'm taking the seven seas but in the morning. Seems to help a bit with initial morning sickness but they are also massive! Could they not just give us two smaller ones 🤭

mummabubs · 24/09/2020 07:06

@Amelia891 I'm literally just taking folic acid and vitamin D as last time round I tried pregnacare and found it made my sickness much worse, apparently this can be quite common. (and the two pills I take are very small, bonus!) Wink

Whilstwewait · 24/09/2020 07:38

@amelia891 My midwife just recommended vitamin d and folic acid so that's all im taking. I've heard a lot of people feel sick after pregnacare. So far no sickness for me 🤞 x

Nannon145 · 24/09/2020 11:04

I’m eating 2 ginger biscuits in the morning and that seems to keep the sickness at bay. Just feel a bit gassy, that’s all.
I’m just taking folic acid and vitamin D too as recommended by my midwife

TheDaydreamBelievers · 24/09/2020 11:23

Folic and vit D here too!

choccychar · 24/09/2020 12:31

Hi people where do you buy your vit D and folic acid from separately? I couldn't find them at supermarket.
I really really struggled with sickness yest but today marginally better.
Hope everyone is doing ok. 8 weeks now, excited!

Rascalia86 · 24/09/2020 12:55

I take the seven seas ones, but I take an extra folic acid too because I already had them from when we was TTC. Hope everyone is doing well!
X

TheDaydreamBelievers · 24/09/2020 13:15

@choccychar - boots or amazon! Feel safer with boots

choccychar · 24/09/2020 13:20

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you I'll look on their website now. Yeah I feel safer with boots too!!

Cafeaulait27 · 24/09/2020 18:23

How is everyone feeling? I’ve been feeling so tired, dizzy and have a headache behind my eyes. I’ve had it all week! Anyone else getting headaches and dizziness with tiredness? Xxx

Chance2020 · 24/09/2020 19:39

@Cafeaulait27
I'm 8 weeks today
Booked in for my 12 weeks scan so waiting an appointment now.
No early scan for me as I can't change the outcome and will want one every day! (Previous MIssed Misscarriage in February, found out at 12weeks)
Sore boobs(not as bad as they were)
feel sick in Waves pretty much every day
Some days I can sleep all day, other days aren't so bad!
I've been running 5k 3 x a week but I think it's taking all my energy!! So will have to postpone until I feel better!
It's very nerve racking not knowing what's going on inside our bodies! We just have to hope it's all Gona be ok - easier said than done!
Much love to us all ❤️
