@Amelia891 I got my maternity leggings from the H&M conscious range- they lasted my first pregnancy, my sister's pregnancy after that and now I'm back in them, no shape loss holes or anything! Really recommended them 😊

Babygornall21 · 15/10/2020 08:22

@Rascalia86 I found ASOS have a good maternity range. I’m in maternity clothes now I’m 8 weeks and my old jeans were so uncomfortable. Can’t recommend the ASOS maternity jeans enough the bump band on them is brilliant! X

CookieTea · 15/10/2020 10:06

I've bought some leggings from jojomama

To be honest I'm 10 weeks and not showing yet, I've even lost 3kg.

Whilstwewait · 15/10/2020 10:21

I am so confused by maternity clothes 🤣 do you just buy the jeans in your normal size and they'll last throughout pregnancy? I'm not showing yet so have time but my jeans can get uncomfy when im bloated x

peachypetite · 15/10/2020 10:49

@Whilstwewait yeh buy your usual size.

stairway · 15/10/2020 16:45

I’ve never bothered with maternity clothes just buy some stretchy clothes for the last few months.

Michellefamily · 16/10/2020 06:38

Can I just ask what age is everyone on here. I'm 35 in December. I've never worn maternity clothes in any of my pregnancy's and don't plan on it for my 6th. I've never seen any maternity clothes that I've liked. Plus I've always loved my bums and the way they look in a standard dresses, top etc. If I'm at home I'm in my pj's and defo don't think I'll b dressing up and going out any time soon with this covid. I'm 9 weeks on Sunday and look like I'm double that at the minute. Which is defo hard when ur trying to hide ur body from 5 other kids. 😜

Rascalia86 · 16/10/2020 06:55

Im 34, will be 35 literally a week after my due date on 10/5. This is my first pregnancy so I feel a bit late to the whole parenthood thing but never really wanted to before this. I'm 10 weeks, nearly 11 weeks and bloated like a balloon.
Im gonna have a look at different clothes, maternity and super stretchy. I live in my pj's or leggings and loose t-shirts when I'm not at work.

DiabeticFirstBaby · 16/10/2020 07:30

Hi! i'm 36, will be 37 when the baby is born, i'm 10 weeks atm. First time mum so getting used to the whole new world and trying to figure what you actually need to buy and what you don't! My friends all have kids so will be easier once we tell them and i can ask them all the questions!

Amelia891 · 16/10/2020 09:14

I’ve just turned 31. There must be some of us on here who have their 12 week scans next week right? Is everyone allowed their partners there? Where I am partners can come for 12 week scan but not 20 at the moment but hoping that changes.

DiabeticFirstBaby · 16/10/2020 09:38

My 12 week scan is next week (even tho i'll be 11 weeks) and my husband can attend. At the moment he can come to the 20 weeks and all the other extra growth scans i get as a diabetic but covid is moving quick in the hospital so i'm guessing this may change. Just hope we can go together next week at least!

Whilstwewait · 16/10/2020 10:11

Mines on the 29th. I'll be 12w4 based on my private scan. Cant wait now. My friend announced her pregnancy yesterday due 2 weeks before me. It made me desperate to be able to tell people. Anyone still feeling rough? I thought I'd feel better now im over 10 weeks but nausea is worse than even x

wannabemum1989 · 16/10/2020 11:19

Hi all. I'm 31 and my 12 week scan is on the 29th - just want it to come around already!! I've been feeling a lot better the last week or two - no nausea and a lot less tiredness - though I think I got off pretty lightly with symptoms in the first place. I haven't once been sick which has been wonderful! X

Rascalia86 · 16/10/2020 14:03

My 12 week scan is 26th, literally spot on the 12 week mark for me. Partners can come to the scans, but not normal appointments round here. I'm not feeling sick or anything, a bit of cramping, want to eat all the time and other bits, but no sickness. 😊

Chance2020 · 16/10/2020 14:51

I'm 33 & no children yet
My scan was on the 23rd but had to change it due to my partner's work commitments to the 29th
Gutted to have to wait an extra week 🤣
How exciting that everyone is getting there scans in the next few weeks!

I've felt better this week (week 11) but today I'm tired & feel a little sick but way more energy than normal, still In bed around 8pm though!
I was naughty and used my sister's Doppler yesterday & found the heartbeat, I was anxious as I was feeling better! 🤦🏻‍♀️ She's got it back now though as I can't be trusted not to Listen in everyday.

I'd like to get some nice winter jeans maternity ones
Thanks for the recommendations

CatLady20 · 16/10/2020 19:51

@Chance2020 I totally understand, I'm 10w6 today and go worried as I felt so much better that I bought pregnancy tests 😂 they were definitely positive! Felt rough today though so I'm assuming it comes and goes again. My first scan is the 21st. Very nervous/excited. The hospital letter on one page said they'd prefer if I came alone and the next page was they'd prefer if I only brought one other person, so I'm bringing my DH anyway, worst case is they chuck him out....

Chance2020 · 16/10/2020 20:17

@CatLady20
Yeah definitely take him! Like you say worst they can do is not allow him in, which I don't think they will do!
Yeah Im hoping it comes in waves 🤷🏻‍♀️ it's great to feel better but it don't half make you anxious
We do need to try and enjoy the good days.
Good luck for your scan & keep us updated. ☺️
Don't waste your money on tests!!! 😆

EthelTheGoose · 19/10/2020 16:41

I had my first scan in Friday, so official due date is 1st May.

My partner wasn't allowed to come, but is allowed at the 20 week scan.

First baby, told the family over the weekend and it's all feeling very real now!

CatLady20 · 19/10/2020 17:07

Congrats @EthelTheGoose!!

leftitlate37 · 19/10/2020 17:08

Ah great news @EthelTheGoose! How was it?! Bet your family are over the moon! Shame your partner couldn't come but good they can to 20 we scan. I've still got what feels like ages til my 12 wk scan...6th Nov...!

EthelTheGoose · 19/10/2020 17:14

Thank you!

Everything was fine, baby was stubborn and was sitting up so I had to get up and jump around for a bit (awful on a full bladder) and it didn't budge! So the final attempt was they had me marching up and down the corridor stamping my feet!! That worked and they were able to get it's measurement! The only thing they weren't able to get was the neck gap measurement so they are just taking bloods for that instead.

Good luck with your scans, they will be here before you know it Smile

leftitlate37 · 19/10/2020 18:30

jumping around on a full bladder!! argh that doesnt sound fun ha! glad stamping your feet worked ;) funny that at this stage cant feel anything despite them obviously moving around inside!
thank you, yes dont want to wish my life away but defo want the scan date to roll round :)

Amelia891 · 20/10/2020 09:58

Congrats @EthelTheGoose ! Did they tell you how long results take from the bloods?

@leftitlate37 mine is the same week as yours, 4th Nov and it feels so far away!! I’m really showing too so it’s going to be very hard hiding it until then!

EyesOfYuna · 20/10/2020 12:51

Hi ladies, can I join the party?
I am 12 weeks, due 4th May with baby no4! 😲
My eldest is 18 and my youngest 6 so I strangely feel like a nervous first timer all over again.

EthelTheGoose · 20/10/2020 15:21

@EyesOfYuna congratulations and welcome! I bet everyone is excited for the new arrival!!

@Amelia891 they can't do the screening via bloods until I'm 16 weeks, but when I had bloods taken on Friday for my blood type and sugar levels they said they would have the results by Monday and would call if there's an issue, or send a letter if all okay. So I'd imagine a similar turn around next time.
