@Cafeaulait27 yeh definitely mention it!
It's such a grey area isn't it, some have bleeding some don't!
I bled in my first pregnancy after sex but also in general now and again, then it stopped.
But I did have a MMC but I don't think the bleeding had anything to do with it cause that was before the MC happened.
Good luck! & Keep us updated xx

Cafeaulait27 · 27/09/2020 19:24

@Chance2020 oh sorry to hear that, how far along were you when you had your MMC? Xx

Chance2020 · 27/09/2020 19:28

@Cafeaulait27
I went for my 12week scan I was actually 13weeks at the time or so I thought
Heart stopped around 8w4
This was back in Feb.
I'm 8wk again now, and no early scan because I'll want one every week. no bleeding this time round at all though and have felt sick every day. So we have a better start but still can't imagine going to a scan to see a growing baby
It's bloody horrible isn't it xx

Cafeaulait27 · 27/09/2020 19:36

@Chance2020 that must’ve been a horrible shock, but great that you are pregnant again. I don’t think I’ll pay for another early scan now - what will be will be.

I’ve read lots that brown discharge after sex can be just because of your cervix going through changes, hope it’s not anything bad. I’ll see what the midwife says, kind of hope she suggests another scan so I can put my mind at rest!

NRDoss · 28/09/2020 12:19

@Chance2020 I can understand the anxiety - I found out during my 11th week after a wee bit of harmless spotting, it was found I was 5.5 with no heartbeat.

Had some mild spotting again two weeks back, but went for an early scan and saw heartbeat. That puts my mind at ease, but I still worry for no reason.

I try putting some food, but that's making me more nauseous. Lemon and Ginger tea isn't helping much either. still better than many mothers out there. Generally feeling moody, but I guess that could be the weather too.

Cafeaulait27 · 28/09/2020 18:47

@NRDoss that must’ve been awful ☹️ But great that you are pregnant again and things are progressing well.

I’m getting quite worried about the brown discharge ☹️ It’s like light brown/yellow now mixed with clear mucus.

Chance2020 · 28/09/2020 19:03

@Cafeaulait27
Can you call your EPAU and say your bleeding etc and u want a scan asap?
X

DiabeticFirstBaby · 28/09/2020 19:25

Hello everyone! New to mums net but thorght it would be nice to joint and chat to women in same position! Are there any T1 diabetics on here? I’m due 10th May! first baby, super excited but a tad anxious too!! xx

Cafeaulait27 · 28/09/2020 19:39

@Chance2020 yeah I guess maybe I should? I think because this is my first time I’m a bit unsure of what to do and worried about making a fuss (which I know is really silly!) maybe I should call them tomorrow and see what they say?

Chance2020 · 28/09/2020 20:01

@Cafeaulait27 definitely!
They said to me, make a fuss because to them it's no problems at all.
That's what they're there for
Good luck xx

GrandTheftWalrus · 28/09/2020 20:34

I went for an early scan on 22nd May at 11 weeks and was told baby had stopped growing at 7+3. So I'm worried this time. Also my due date with this on according to lmp is 18th May which I find rather weird.

Nannon145 · 29/09/2020 07:51

I’m driving myself crazy.
Friday & Saturday I felt really sick and was being sick.
Sunday felt sick but was ok.
Yesterday felt sick in the morning but then fine the rest of the day.
And today I’ve felt absolutely fine.
I’m starting to worry, I need reassurance 😫

CatLady20 · 29/09/2020 08:34

@Nannon145 I'm the same. Symptoms come and go. I got worried at the weekend as I just felt tired, my boobs seemed less sore and I didn't feel sick. Monday I got the nausea back again with vengeance and my boobs hurt so much. As long as the symptoms come back again, you don't need to worry 🙂

Chance2020 · 29/09/2020 17:15

Hey @DiabeticFirstBaby
How many weeks are you?
It's very anxious and its good to chat on here.
I know my friend had two healthy girls & she's type 1! On her second she didn't over do it on the insulin! & She was no where near as big as the first which she was thankful for!
But obviously take all advice of your consultant.

Cafeaulait27 · 29/09/2020 17:54

I called the EPU today as still getting light brown discharge, they just said to monitor and call back if it turns to red. They don’t seem concerned, but I kind of wanted a scan to put my mind at rest. But I know it’s the nhs and they can’t just be scanning everyone willy nilly!

I might mention it again at my apt on Thursday.

What usually happens at the booking appointment, does anyone know? I know they ask loads of questions but will tutu also start arranging screening and blood tests? And maybe the 12 week scan?

Also - I’m starting to feel nauseous today for the first time which feels horrible but I’m secretly pleased, I hope it’s a good sign. Feel so crappy though!!

Mrsp2be22 · 29/09/2020 18:04

@Cafeaulait27 defo ask again at your appointment just for peace of mind for yourself.

Exciting having your booking app so soon!
Mine is in 2 weeks so will be 9+3 by then. Also keen to know what happens. Is anyone else having a telephone booking app? How does it work doing the screening tests when you have a phone call not face to face?!

Chance2020 · 29/09/2020 18:08

@Cafeaulait27
They ask you a million questions about your health and your partner's and your parents etc.
Take your weight, blood pressure, urine sample, height and book in for a scan which you will probably receive a letter.
I'm currently waiting for a letter.
Mention it again on Thursday and just say I want a scan to be reassured please.
She might refer you then.

The last two mornings I've felt really sick and made home made sickness bands 😆 they are working!
But I'm still constantly snacking to help too!
Boobs are still sore.
I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow so only 3 weeks to go! Not long now! But it does feel slow when all we want to know that everything is ok! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cafeaulait27 · 29/09/2020 18:57

@Chance2020 ah thanks for letting me know what happens! I’m really excited for Thursday, it’s just so nice having appointments and feeling like things are happening.

Yeah I will def say again on Thursday - maybe it’s one of those things where they don’t offer it unless you explicitly say ‘I want a scan’ unless it’s really serious bleeding. Will let you know how I get on!

Oh wow 9 weeks! Yeah those last 3 weeks are going to drag! Let us know when you get your 12 week scan letter xx

Cafeaulait27 · 29/09/2020 18:59

@Mrsp2be22 I have no idea what they will do if it’s over the phone! You might need to go down to your hospital pathology dept to do the blood tests and maybe do your own urine test and drop it in? I have no idea! So your trust are still just doing phone ones? It really varies from place to place doesn’t it.

Will let you know how it goes!

Cafeaulait27 · 29/09/2020 19:00

@GrandTheftWalrus so sorry to hear that. Are you having extra monitoring this tome? Xx

DiabeticFirstBaby · 29/09/2020 19:07

Hi @Chance2020 I'm 8+2 weeks, had a early scan last monday and everything looked ok! How many weeks are you? Just wanting to get to 12 weeks and i'll feel a bit better! How are you feeling?

GrandTheftWalrus · 29/09/2020 19:10

I've not even contacted maternity centre yet as they said not to until 7 weeks. Which I am today but I'm nightshift so will phone in the morning.

I've booked a private scan for 10 weeks so will see what happens then.

Rascalia86 · 30/09/2020 07:19

Today is the day! I have my early scan this afternoon at 3:30pm! Keep scaring my other half by saying it could be twins!🤣 and finally got my booking appointment through for the 11th.

Im starting to feel a bit more nauseaus now too, bloated, really sore boots and the dreaded constipation.
Hope everyone is ok! X

Chance2020 · 30/09/2020 09:54

@Rascalia86
How many weeks are you?
Good luck for the scan! Keep us posted!

donewithbeingpreg · 30/09/2020 10:31

Gosh I've been so distant from this thread despite creating the darn thing! 😅 apologies.

7 weeks pregnant so due date is up to 16th May instead of the 11th. Healthy baby and strong heartbeat. Yet...

STILL BLOODY BLEEDING. Ahhg mummas anyone else got this or had it?? I don't even know what's classed as spotting or heavy bleed. I'm cramping too. Yet heartbeat detected and they can't tell why I'm bleeding from the scan. Help?😂💓
