Hey Greedy

Funky chair Seaside I think the only way I can be sure Beanie will be safe from my pussy cats is in a sling though! You are VERY organized hon

Bloodkin ? those slings look so cosy!

Happy Bouncing Honey

Did/does anyone else have cravings for odd music?! I?ve been singing along to Kenny Rogers all morning and am about to launch into Dolly?s bit in Islands in the Stream poor Beanie, Mummy really, really can?t sing! ? just to clarify, I am at home not work!

Hey Firsty and everyone else I?ve not mentioned

Chooster ? remember your DH?s single mate ? is he still single? Fancy doing some match making? One of my friends is on the prowl!

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/10/2007 16:15

bodders - thats EXACTLY what i said after having dd1...................."i cant imagine never having another baby!" ......................my mw said unless you definately say NO when someone asks if you are having any more then you will probably end up having another one! she asked if i was having anymore and i said "probably not!" she said that definately means we will end up having another one! all my friends think we will have 4 too! one of my friends has 4 boys all under 4 with no twins! they REALLY went for it! they like on orkney though and apparently there isnt much to do apart from shag!!

mrs - good plan on the xmas shopping, wish i was that organised......i havent bought a thing!! suddenly when it gets to halloween christmas seems really near. we have only got about 2 free weekends before xmas too so not sure when xmas shopping will be happening!! i have alwasy wanted pink sapphires in my eternity ring........i saw the one i wanted about 5 years ago. i didnt realise it was trendy!! it is pink sapphires if you have a girl and blue for a boy then?

honeyapple - hope your sweep went ok.....they are nasty things aren't they? did your mw shove her whole arm up you too like mine did to me???!!!

just to let you all know that i am having so many filthy dreams that i definately need to get back in the saddle soon!!! they are all about dh too which is worrying, as normally they are about men i actually fancy (only kidding dh!). but they are normally about fit blokes off the tv!
had a great night with marcy last night and she has been a star today (so far!) so maybe i might have the energy for some action tonight!!!

seaside - go for the 4D scan...............go on.you know you want to!!! whats a few hundred pound hey??!!!

honeyapple - just realised i kind of answered your question about having a sense of closure before i had even read your question!! so, no.............i cant say i definately wont have anymore (although thats not what i said when i was in labour!!), but i have said if we do have anymore............i DEFINATELY want an epidural!!
you are still young as well arent you honey, so i bet in another 4 years time you will be back here again!!! babies are addictive!!!

rainbowdays · 30/10/2007 16:24

greedy - ok you want 4 too, I must be crazy as I am already thinking about a no.4 and I am still pg!!!!!!

honey - hope the sweep has started things into action for you.

well I am busy being secret agent 006, so best get back to it!

greedygreedyguzzler · 30/10/2007 16:32

i MUST get round to emailing you rainbowdays!!! i really want to know what you do!!!

honeybobbingapple · 30/10/2007 16:37

Hiya, just back from MW. She was running over half an hour late, but fortunately I was able to get DP to pick DC up from school... She had a very nervous first time mum asking a million questions!

Anyway, had the old sweep... was a bit uncomfy, not painful though. Kind of weird as she did seem to have her whole arm up there! She said I was 2cm, soft and favourable and baby was very low down. Very odd when she said she could move my cervix down . Havent had any spotting since, but have had more cramps. Feeling quite excited that I might have baby in next 48 hrs. She is also going to book me in for induction at 42 wks just in case, but didnt think that I would be PG that long.

Firsty- how overdue did you go?

Greedy- 4 eh? I am a bit worried I will still want more after this one. I am 31, so tis true that time isnt such an issue... Maybe I will do my 4 yr thing again . Dont think I could cope with a toddler and a baby.

Re Xmas shopping, I cant think about that until after DD's bday which is on the 7th dec. So i always leave it late, but then we dont buy pressies for the whole family anymore (just kids) as decided it was too ridiculous and expensive... although me and DP do each other a stocking . I will be hoping for something glittery and expensive this year!

seaside72 · 30/10/2007 16:39

Greedy - you are the voice of my inner spendaholic devil!! DH has just talked me out of booking it - so no 4D DVD for us I feel like a spoilt kid again - "I want the Sindy winebago and beach buggy - now!!!!" [stamp])

He thinks we should wait and if we do have one have it at 32/33 weeks. It is just so annoying as we can only ever do them if we are going up to London as there is nowhere down her/ within 150 miles, that does private scans

My bf just had her babay this morn- so honey I hope the labour bug spreads and that the sweep worked. From what I have heard via text etc bf's birth sounded good - went in at 10pm last night and baby out by 10am!

MrsMc- Ok - enough of the bad music (mind you I love listening to Dolly belt out "9-5" !!) Have you started listening to Mozart and gregorian charts - supposedly to calm baby - anyone put headphones on their bump????

Rainbowdays - Arghh 006 - I have had to email Ready to ask her your secret mission!!

I am not sure I am qualified to comment on the wanting more debate - My mum was one of those who said NO straight away after I was born and she stuck to it - I am an only child so she was as good as her word - apparently all her friends thought she would have a brood!!? Was I that bad!! All I know is that I am loving being pg and dont want it to end (remind me of that when I am 2 weeks overdue!!) - but I know it is not always the same for each pregnancy??

Anyway - waves to everyone - we are offline for a few days prob so might not be abe to catch up until Monday - honey I will have to try and check in somewhere - I missed Greedy and now I will miss you too - doh!!

Chooster · 30/10/2007 16:46

Just checking in on the success of the sweep Honey??? Hope there's some movement soon.

I too read the thread about wanting more kids... Some of it was exactly how I feel, can't imagine having another child in the family but would probably want another baby .

Poor Theo has an ear infection so we've had a couple of really bad nights as I guess it must hurt more at night with all that lying down... Grrrr, he was awake ever hour and a half ish. Poor guy. But on a more positive note he has just had 3oz of formula . The sad is only because I feel he's growing up and my special little BF bond will break at some point. But I do want him to be able to take a bottle so I'll keep at it once a day. Any progress Blooders / Fettle?

Hi Mrs, any more ebay joy??? I've just a rainforest jumperoo - looks fab. If you keep missing the amby's and still want one then you can probably have ours? at least you'll know where it came from . Theo is such a ong boy thst I reckon I'll move him to his cot in about another month, so I'm sure I could part with the amby in December. Yup, DH's pal is still single... whas your friend like. He's a very nice funny guy but if she likes to be spoilt (i.e presents) he's not your man - a bit tight with the cash . And he wonders why he doesn't have a girlfriend

Grrrr, have forgotten what everyone else has been saying and I can't look back (I still have the new style set up)... Will check and come back later

Chooster · 30/10/2007 16:50

By the way the downside to a baby taking the bottle is I can't type and feed - .

Now if you are talking 'Jolene' by Dolly Parton then I am with you MrsMc - One of my all time faves

honeybobbingapple · 30/10/2007 17:28

Hi again,

Hi Chooster- so do you reckon the amby was worth having then? Sounds like you wont have used it for that long...

Just been carving the pumpkin... DC started helping, but then decided it smelt like sick so they left me to it. Must admit that it does have a certain whiff about it, dont think I'll be making any pumpkin pie...
Have carved a pretty impressive face if i say so myself!

My mum has just phoned, unfortuntately she is now out of the picture for looking after my DC if anything happens, as she has got my sister's DC now! (This was already organised a while ago, sis is going to new york as hubbie is doing the marathon there) Have to give MIL a ring later to check her plans. DP thought she was going away for the weekend... Might end up with DC being here when LO arrives, not sure what I think about that.

MrsMcSpooky · 30/10/2007 18:55

PMSL Greedy my Grandpa?s from Orkney and my Mum is one of 5 that?s right pink sapphires for girls and blue for boys giggling at your dreams DH and I hope for 3 or 4 but we?ll see

Rainbowdays ? what?s your email address again?!

Honeybobbingapple ? promise it wasn?t me in with your MW all sounding good and I bet you were glad to get that sweep out of the way, my Mum always used to alarm me by saying that there are so many internals when you are pg, so far, I?ve not had any, was that the first you?d had?

Seaside ? congrats to your BF LOL I hate classical music so don?t want to encourage Beanie to like it! I?m like you, I?ll almost be sad when this pregnancy ends but then again, I can?t wait to meet Beanie

Chooster hey you! Sorry about Theo?s ear, poor little thing that?s great about the formula but I do see where you are coming from. I did win something on eBay today but I?ve forgotten what it was!! did you buy that jumperoo then? they look fun Xmas Grin do you think one of those would be better than a fold up swing then? There were quite a few jumperoos on eBay I noticed I have got another bid in for an Amby so we?ll see. Very excited by your offer though but I wouldn?t want to rush you or to rip you off either, that said, I?d be prepared to pay you more for yours than I would for a 2nd hand one from eBay, keep me posted on that. My friend is 33, no baggage, nice house, car, tall and slim, I think she is pretty ? kind of coltish, big brown eyes, she?s very graceful, used to be a dancer and is very musical. Oh and likes football. She works for the same institution as you do. She seems to have dated real losers in the last 2 ½ years that I?ve known her so a funny guy who treats her nicely would be her ideal ? let me know if he?d like to meet her, you and I could always swoop pics on our phones LOL another Dolly fan

fettleandbabyfettle · 30/10/2007 19:28

sorry so short earlier - can no longer type while feeding either Chooster, as Toby is such a screamer and wriggler while feeding now - i need one had to hold (mahoosive boob up and in) and the other to hold him still! hope it doesn't last much longer, as it is so horrible seeing him in so much pain! hopefully HV will be able to shed some light on it tomorrow.

Anyway, he wants me again! So have to dash off.

big waves to everyone

OP posts:
Chooster · 30/10/2007 21:38

Good luck at the HV Fettle - I hope she has some answers for you on why its happening. You said that DD did the same thing. Very strange isn't it? It must be awful to watch it happening .

Blooders - How are the night feeds? Has Isla done any more puking? That must be grim having that 3 nights in a row. Theo never seems to settle well if he has slept til 4 or 5am and then feeds. I think its because there is so mch milk there and he is so hungry that he ends up gulping it down and takes quite a bit of air in. No matter how long I burp him he never seems that relaxed . They are funny little creatures aren't they .

Honeyapple - how's things??? Yes I'd probably still say the amby has been worth it. Theo has definately been a better sleeper than max and he can (usually) happily go in there awake. If I do transfer him in a month or so then I'd have used it for 5 months and hopefully I'll get most of what I paid for it back. My thinking was that I'll probably move Theo into his own room at some point before xmas and that may be a good time to get him used to his cot. I dont think I'd get much more than 7 or 8 months out of it due to theo's size. I dont think he's massive or anything but he's now growing out of 3 to 6 month clothes and measures 66 cm in length so he's at the top of the scale.

I'll keep you posted MrsMc on how things go with Theo and his amby over the next wee while. I'd rather you have it than someone else as it has been well cared for . If you need one earlier and want to be sure you have it in then obviously just keep bidding . Yup, I got the rainforest jumperoo from ebay as I thought it looked pretty cool . I think its only really good from 4 months or so and you'll be in Spain by then?? So maybe you'll be better with a swing for the earlier days. So, your friend, is she the one you've mentioned before - long dark hair? If so I know who you mean. I dont know her but know of her IYKWIM. If its her she may be out of Tony's league (Sorry Tony!!! , but it may be worth a go

Keep us up to date Honey!!!

Oh by the way, my mum came to visit the other day and she had got her result from her biopsy. She has a collapsed lung that will never re-inflate so she'll always be susceptable to chest infections / pneumonia etc. Anyway she made a big deal about the fact that smoking for 25 yrs had nothing to do with it and in fact it was probably genetic. Ermmm, hello, daughter and grandsons here, any consideration for us that perhaps we may be affected by this in later life. No.... She hadn't even considered it. Oh how we laughed .

seaside72 · 30/10/2007 21:44

ohhh - I am a bit of a dom goddess after all - I carved a pumpkin too last week - it is sitting in the window next to front door - dont know why as have no kids to do it for and no local kids venture this far out for trick or treat! It has just become a habit since living in America where they are halloween crazy!

Ok - whats a jumperoo?? will have to google. The pod like high chair thing is pricey but I think the seat is wipeable/vinyl??

Hope Toby's feeding and Theo's ear get better very soon

Loving the online dating - you could join them both up to Sarah Beenies website??!

rainbowdays · 31/10/2007 09:12

honey - thinking major contracting thoughts for you, hope it is working, if not this secret agent will be on the search for your labour for you!!! OK I think my work is sending me loopy!

Seaside - my thoughts too - what is a jumperoo!!! You lived in america, where abouts were you when you were there? By the way did ready let you know what I really do, so uninteresting isn't it!

Chooster - is your mum still smoking with only one lung?!?!?!?

OK for those who still want it, email address: [email protected] or is it .com, oh piglets preggo brain strikes again, I will come back later and confirm!

rainbowdays · 31/10/2007 09:44

OK have checked email addy is [email protected] So hope anyone wanting to email can now do so.

Also forgot to say that I had another scan yesterday, it was a stressful event as got sent to wrong department, then they declared I had cancelled the appointment, they said then would book me to see the consultant there and then, they then said that I could not see the consultant as they had not found the referral from my midwife.... well after being there for 2 hours I finally got a quick scan where leg length and head circumfrence were measured all over in about 3 minutes, then she spent another 3 minutes trying to get a decent photo of the baby that was wriggling too much. But anyway the good bit was to find out that bubs is still growing well. At 7weeks 1day, the measurements were for 7 weeks 4days and 7 weeks 3 days! So still 3days ahead as with the previous scan.

honeybobbingapple · 31/10/2007 11:07

Hiya...

GRRRRRR... was really thinking something might happen last night, but no!

Rainbowdays- thanks for your contraction thoughts BTW what happened to Spiritdays?

Only exciting thing this morning is that I had a show! Blew me nose... and all this other stuff came out other end! That's a nice image isnt it! Have since taken DC to school and just marched around town looking for some halloween decorations but everything already sold... so got some ring donuts for kids to play that game when you tie them from strings and eat them with hands behind backs... Have I lost you? Going to hunt about the house for some plastic bats and spiders... think DC made some paper mache bats last year which are probably still lurking somewhere .

Anyway, feeling crampy and like I've got a stitch across my belly...Cant believe that I cant wait for some proper PAIN!!!
MW rang this morning to say she'd booked me in for induction 9th nov... seems a long way away.

What is a jumperoo???

fettleandbabyfettle · 31/10/2007 12:14

come on honey-mini witch/warlock make your appearance today!!!!

you having boy or girl, honey can't remember?

lots of labour thoughts coming your way!!

xxx

OP posts:
honeybobbingapple · 31/10/2007 12:24

A boy apparently! Won't believe it till he is here though.

House is looking pretty spooky ... let's hope all this effort will make baby come in the middle of the party! That will be scary for the kids!

MrsMcSpooky · 31/10/2007 13:37

Hey all! having a seriously crappy day got stuck in traffic and it took me 4 hours to get to work. Then discovered I had an urgent piece of work to do too anyway - it's all in hand now

Good point about the jumperoo Chooster - I want something to entertain Beanie with from birth, I liked the bouncer but my sis said the swing was more fun, I know there is another more elaborate swing but it looks like it would take up half my kitchen! let me know how Theo likes his jumperoo.

Re the Nature's Nest - your not tempted to buy a jump, jump and use it as a swing? do keep me posted. I'll keep my bid in for the one on eBay (I probably won't get it, they are selling for around £80-£90 plus P&P and that is normally about £20 and I figure if I can get a new one for £145 with free P&P, I'm not prepared to pay more than £75 incl P&P for a 2nd hand one as I'd still need to buy a new matterss at £25 - if I was to buy yours though, I wouldn't need a new mattress so would give you the extra money instead but we can talk about all that later if you do want to sell

Honey hoping that show means that it's all about to happen - an All Saints day baby perhaps?

No sign of Halloween at our house DH is at Spanish and I am out for dinner with a friend so hopefully when we get home at 9.30 it'll be too late

Tired today, one of my best mates called from Oz at 11pm - was lovely to talk to her but I am feeling shattered now!

Bloodkin · 31/10/2007 14:01

Oooh a show! Exciting developments! Let's hope your waters don't break during your Halloween party! I had no idea you were such a spring chicken - plenty of time for no. 4 then

Loving the on-line dating! Oh, poor Theo - ear infections are horrible! I've been a bit rubbish with trying with the formula the last couple of days - she's just been too tired after her last feed and has either fallen asleep or been really crabby. But I think the reason I'm only trying after the last feed is I don't want her to really drink very much and get a taste for it IYSWIM - I'm like you Chooster - don't want to stop doing ex. BF quite yet! I read a bit of a horror story on the BF boards about someone who started giving a bottle at the 7pm feed to help the baby sleep longer, and the baby decided she preferred it and self-weaned at 5 months so that has put me off a bit! I'm hoping to keep doing morning and evening feeds til 1 year, and do bottles for the day feeds after 6 months, but we'll see how it goes.

Rainbow - good to hear the measurements are spot on!

Greedy - glad to hear you had a good night - how many hours kip did you get? Filthy dreams eh? my libido is non-existant atm, poor old DP must be climbing the walls!

ok gotta go, booby calls

rainbowdays · 31/10/2007 14:14

Fettel - 006 has sent you a reply!!!!

Mrsmc- sorry to hear about your rotten start to the day, hope it improves.

Honey - Bloodkin just wrote that she hoped your waters did not break at the party tonight, I thought it would make a wonderful ghastly event!!

BuggyMad2blue1pink · 31/10/2007 14:20

Afternoon ladies, Yes everything is fine with me and my little family, thanks for asking after me and yes been very VERY busy, 3 is 100% more hard work than 2, also when the LO doesn't sleep though the night that doesn't help and the fact she is a mummy's girl and wants to be with me all the time, also doesn't help, but oh well like I keep saying she is my last and I'm going to enjoy her! The best part is that being very busy gets that weight down, I'm smaller in size compared to when I started down the TTC route . Connie so gaining weight left right and center, already getting around the floor in one way or another, trying hard to make sounds bless, chatting away like mad, my boys are still smitten with her, bless them! SOOOOOOO glad to know your all fine and well, I will try and catch up some time this week!
BMxx

greedygreedyguzzler · 31/10/2007 17:40

honeyapple - listen to bugymad! dont have 3 whatever you do!!!! or is it too late for that??!! i SO hope you pop soon......it really is the most annoying thing ever going overdue, i really feel for you. your cervix sounds good though!!(what an odd thing to type!!) i am SURE it will happen soon

fettleandbabyfettle · 31/10/2007 18:11
