No, I can honestly say I was not amused either when I saw what the dog was doing, and would liked to have given it a good kick, but as his owner was doing me a massive favour and putting up some wall lights at the time, I just sort of looked a bit disgusted and swiftly took Isla upstairs for a bit of a wash and clean up! Dog owners are

Bodkin · 24/10/2007 21:28

sorry... Dog owners are weird creatures too - they are oblivious to how manky their animals are!

Chooster · 24/10/2007 22:04

Urrrghhh, poor Isla - like you say at least she didn't know what was happening. Why hadn't the poor mutt been given something to drink by its owner though .

Hope Toby sleeps better for you tonight Fettle, and Isla for you Bodkin.

Bodders- PMSL at the dog story... poor Isla ... weird halloween emoticons...anyway... you have probably offended Seaside now on the dog owner thing!

Fettle- hurrah, a good long sleep stretch from Toby. Long may it last .

Mrs- Enjoy the scan... what time is it?

My lovely mum is coming over today and taking DC to have a sleepover at her house, so it would be really great timing to go into labour sometime today/tonight! .

Pyramid is looking good, just a few finishing touches... . It is fun doing these projects... I think I am enjoying it more than DS!

Speak soon x

Rainbowdays · 25/10/2007 11:20

bodders - oh yukkky, much as I love dogs that is not pleasant.

honey - sending plenty of contracting thoughts your way, but you know how it goes, these babies never come just when you want them too, so perhaps you should be hoping not tonight instead! Glad the pyramid is developing nicely.

Fettle - yippy for toby sleeping right, long may the pattern continue to improve for you.

chooster - hope that theo does not suffer too much with those rotten injections.

mrsmc - you haven't emailed me yet, but then noone else has been brave enough either!!!! Perhaps my secret life will remain so!!!!

I will hopefully get time to come and chat again later...

Hey ladies just a really quick post as I am hectic to tell you that all was fine at my scan this morning, the baby is measuring about a week ahead and weighs about 3 pounds Sadly, that is all I know as the sonographer was a tone faced cow she ignored DH and my questions, was running 45 mins late but didn?t apologise, refused to show me any of my baby, wouldn?t even show me it?s face, I was nearly in tears, she refused to give me any of the measurements or a report of any sort saying that the consultant can get it all off the system if she wants to at my appointment tomorrow. We were both really upset and angry with her manner but didn?t kick up because at the end of the day, our baby is fine and we are seeing the consultant tomorrow anyway but I was a little tearful earlier, I was so looking forward to seeing my baby?s little face again I know that is not the point of a growth scan but I was so ken to see how it had grown back later for a catch up and a proper chat hope everyone is well

well my poor little kiki's 'cold' turned out to be tonsilitis. bit angry really cos dh took her to the docs last week and he said he thought she had asthma and gave her an inhaler but no antibiotics. i took her and marcy yesterday and kiki and the doc seemed really concerned about kiki as her temperature was so high and she just kept falling asleep. anyway..........a few doses of Abs and loads of calpol and nurofen and she is a it more back to normal today. marcy just seems to have a cold and the doc just said to keep kiki away from her (yeah right!) and keep an eye on her temperature. another really shit nights sleep in the greedy household though!!! guess it wont be for long though!!...better not be cos i cant cope!! it just breaks my heart when they are ill. ds's turn next anyway!!!
anyway, enough about me....although i do need to tell you all about my eternity ring at some point!!! (cant believe i have forgotten up until now!!)

rainbowdays - i am really intigued now too!!! if i had the energy i would email you to find out your sordid secrets!!

nice to see you back seaside and iwillbe ( when are you going to change your name to 'iam' by the way!!

bodders - sorry you had a crap nigt
fettle - glad ickle toby is ok and they aren't concerned.
honeyapple- i wouldnt bother with the DIY sweeps again either. it was a crap idea of mine, but i was desperate!!! when i finally had my proper sweep by the MW i realised there was NO WAY dh could ever have done that to me!!! she practically shoved her whole arm up!!! now i know how those poor cows feel!

bodders - did you HAVE to tell us that!!!!! how could i NOT read it when you said 'look away if squeamish'!! YUK YUK YUK!!!

hello everyone else!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 25/10/2007 16:52

sorry, not sure how i missed your post earlier mrs. glad to hear baby is ok, but sorry that your sonographer was such a stroppy cow. what a bitch hey? hope you get your questions answered tomorrow with the consultant. i cant quite believe how close your due date is getting!!!!!!

honeyapple? how you feeling? any more twinges?

well......i am officially sleep deprived. i just found some frozen fish in sauce in the vegetable rack..................needless to say its not frozen anymore! not sure when or how it managed to get there but i am sure its my fault!!!

MrsMcSpooky · 25/10/2007 17:11

Catching up

Fettle sorry to hear about your time at the hospital and poor Toby and the heel pricking and at her comments ? that dr sounds like she needs to improve her skills!! So glad that the news is getting better though sounds like DD is a budding tri-athlete! hope Toby isn?t getting DD?s cold.

Honey things are sounding promising from your self examination I can?t believe your DP even told you they?d asked him to go away!!

Chooster glad to hear Theo is doing so well, hope he isn?t suffering too much from the jags

Bodkin LOL about "Discussions of the Day"! where did you see that? Thanks for all the nice things you said my fav suggestion for the hospital bag was sandwiches frozen waiting in the freezer to be grabbed before you leave! That?s organization for you! the dog stories are shocking LOL sorry I had a dog once who took a liking to one of my friends and ate the crotch out of all her knickers and swimming costumes when she was staying with us ? my Mum was mortified!!

Rainbowdays ? email on its way!

Hey Firsty LOl at you wanting another already! when are you having your heart procedure? Thanks for your kind words

Greedy ? so sorry about Kiki and the lack of sleep hope everyone gets better quickly. LOL at the fish ? sorry hon!

THERE IS A MOSES BASKET IN MY HOUSE is that terribly unlucky? My BF popped it round earlier, her son has grown out of it now and she hasn?t got space, she?s washed it all for me and I could stand it in the room that might be Beanie?s if we are here but?. not sure. Maybe if I don?t make it up, it?s not unlucky.. that room has elephants on the cream curtains and on the bedspread so I guess it could be nursery-like DH wants to help choose the changing mat ? Honey, my favourite so far is the goldfish one, that?s fab BF also said my bump was very hard, first one I?ve ever had so I thought they are all that way, are they not? Also baby is still in same position as before, head down, body to the right, limbs to the left ? am I safe from a breech baby or can it still move for a few weeks?

honeyapple · 25/10/2007 17:11

Hiya- mum has just taken DC off, have had a lovely day with her... but very nice to have some peace and quiet! Lots of tightenings, but nothing labour like... some cramps earlier, but then I sat on the loo and farted for about half an hour ... no poo though, saving that up for the delivery!!

Firsty- good to hear from you. Ty sounds gorgeous .

Greedy- poor Kiki . Hope the antibiotics do the trick and she doesnt pass it on to anyone else.

Mrs- at silly moo at the scan. Some people are just born miserable. Glad to hear baby fine though... 3lb already! Sounds big?? I dunno though, havent a clue, ignore me!

Right, maybe DP and I might get up to some hot lovin' later ...

honeyapple · 25/10/2007 17:16

Oooh- crossed with you Mrs...

Unlikely that your baby will become breech, but s/he could definitely move. That position you describe is best for labour. Try to sit up straight and not lounge around too much on the sofa! (Wouldnt worry about this really until about 36 wks)

Glad you like the goldfish changing mat .

Moses basket- are you going to forget about the amby? I dont think it is bad luck to have baby stuff in the house. I'm sure it will be useful just to pop baby into in the day anyway.

honeyapple · 25/10/2007 17:17

My bump is hard too. This is good! Means you havent put on lots of weight and your tum will spring back into pre-PG state!

MrsMcSpooky · 25/10/2007 17:19

I see discussions of the day now my fav comment was from the lady who said she should have worn a bin liner and a bucket on the ward because she was in such a mess.

Honey - PMSL at the fart and the poo retention I know 3 pounds sounds big for 28 weeks doesn't it? this whole EDD and dates thing is odd isn't it - I mean, I KNOW I didn't ovulate until CD17 at the earliest that cycle and CD18 was more likely so already that puts me 3 or 4 days behind my EDD based on LMP and CD14 assumption for OV and yet here I am now measuring a whole week ahead of what I should for my EDD - hope Beanie just comes early and doesn't hang back and get too massive! you know the silliest thing one of the ladies on my AN thread had a 28 week scan this week and saw wispy hair on her baby's head and I REALLY wanted to look for that, that's one of the reasons I am so disappointed that she wouldn't show me anything go girl get that negligee on!

honeyapple · 25/10/2007 17:22

Mrs- My scans all seemed to say that I was nearly a week ahead of dates... but look I am due tommorrow(?) and nothing! I think it is really just an estimate in end of day and LO will come out when it is ready. 75% of babies are later than due date, only 5% are born on due date.

MrsMcSpooky · 25/10/2007 17:22

Crossed with you Honey thanks for answering my questions maybe that's why my right side hurts because that is where the bulk of the baby is still going to get the Amby but the good thing about the moses basket is that I can use it during the day downstairs as you say, I was going to just use the buggy downstairs but I guess it could get wet and therefore it's good to have another option

MrsMcSpooky · 25/10/2007 17:23

ReadySteadyTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2007 18:02

Just wanted to say thank you to Rainbowdays and Greedy for tracking me down and leaving such sweet messages for me. It really means a lot that you care.
I promise I am not a psychopath is RL Greeds (although a pyscho probably would say that )... anyway, that's all... hope everyone else is grand, I'll be back another day, suitably optimistic er, pathetic.

MrsMcSpooky · 25/10/2007 18:32

Big hugs Ready xx

fettleandbabyfettle · 26/10/2007 10:18

Thanks Fettle

Yes, I know new format is a bit confusing!

honeyapple · 26/10/2007 11:16

AHHHHH I hate it when things are changed... what is this new format about?? I couldnt find the right posts... have changed it back to how it used to be, grrrr. It's like when the supermarket moves it's aisles about...

Well, DP came home last night with a yummy Thai green curry... then i had some raspberry leaf tea and a hot lavender infused bath (oh and of course have been bouncing on the gym ball)... then went to bed and had a bit of jiggy jiggy (which was very nice).... and I woke up.... still pregnant and with not one twinge .

I am now going to march into town to pick up a book that I have requested from the library on home birth and meet my sister for lunch...

Hope you all have a good day, and that maybe something will happen later. Mum still has DC, I think she is going to bring them back tonight.
