@Sussexbysea I've suffered with terrible migraines throughout my life, often hormonal (touchwood I've been ok so far this pregnancy) In terms of not relying on medication I would 10000% recommend looking into seeing an osteopath locally. I'm a qualified physio and was recommended an osteopath local to me. She does hands on treatment to my head and neck and not only did it hugely relieve an active migraine but it helped with the frequency of them.

Might be worth looking into if you too want to steer clear of medication??
@LuHen if it helps, I had zero symptoms with my first 2 pregnancies until I felt the baby kick. This is the first pregnancy I have felt nauseous.
@Aurora124 this is really reassuring, thank you Smile I’m thinking I’ve probably got a boy then! xxx

Sussexbysea · 23/08/2020 11:40

@ElsiesJourney why didn’t I think of that? We have one really local to us and they come highly recommended. I’m going to call them in the morning and see if I can get an appointment ASAP. Thank you x

@Sussexbysea because your pregnant with a stinking migraine. I fail to function with either of those let alone both of them! Let me know how it goes :)

Aurora124 · 23/08/2020 14:59

If your partner's family is all boys ( like mine ) and you have few symptoms it looks like its a boy! You never know though. What kind of foods are you craving? Im all over the place , craving chicken soup and donuts .

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 15:05

@Aurora124 my partners family is all boys, gone off sweet food and craving savoury - lots of cheese!

Aurora124 · 23/08/2020 15:34

@DSP21 aww i'm so jealous, i'v completely gone off cheese! I love cheese. Does sound like a boy for you if you believe in old wives tales.

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 15:37

Hey ladies,

I've woken up this morning at 9+1 with zero symptoms (not that I had many before) but no tiredness, no waves of nausea, no bloating etc. Am i being paranoid or is it something I should get checked?

CazWte · 23/08/2020 15:48

Hey ladies, got my 12 week scan tmz, at 13 ish weeks, feeling so anxious!! Did anyone else feel like this??

Aurora124 · 23/08/2020 16:17

I wouldn't worry too much @DSP21 from what I hear symptoms can come and go.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @CazWte try not to worry

Phie04 · 23/08/2020 16:24

@DSP21 how far along are you? Im just over 10 weeks and since week 8 some days I wake up washed out, throwing up all day, can barely get out of bed, then other days I wake up fresh and feel 100% all day. Maybe its fluctuating hormones or diet I'm not sure. Hoping its fazing out nearing the 12 week mark

@Aurora124 thank you 😊 x

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 17:03

@Phie04 oh thats interesting, i'm 9+1 and noticed it yesterday. Was able to eat all day, and go back to craving all the things i previously couldn't stand!

Sussexbysea · 23/08/2020 17:57

I’ve only just managed to get myself out of bed. Had a shower and got some clean pjs on and I feel better but not 100%.

JTB123 · 23/08/2020 18:19

Question gals, has anyone sent of for their prescription exemption certificate and how long did take to come back if so?

Mercuryfreddie · 23/08/2020 18:39

Well I had my private scan this afternoon, measuring 8+6 Smile Such an amazing experience seeing the baby wriggling and heart beating away! Definitely feeling slightly more relaxed and excited!

@JTB123 My midwife filled it in for my at my booking in appointment and I was emailed the confirmation. They aren't doing the cards any more due to environmental impact but I think you can still send off for a paper copy if you want

JTB123 · 23/08/2020 18:44

@Mercuryfreddie aww great little scan pic!

@LottieX ahhhh okay I'll keep an eye out for an email then!! I asked the midwife if I'd get a card or something and she had no idea !

Wren1986 · 23/08/2020 19:00

@JTB123 I just has mine through the post, just a paper copy - my midwife must have applied for it for me at my booking app but she didn't say anything about it!

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 19:05

@JTB123 i had to fill out the paper form and send it off, only just did it so no idea how long it takes!

JTB123 · 23/08/2020 19:40

@DSP21 a
@Wren1986 yeah mine was a paper copy I've sent off last week so hoping I'll get a certificate back soon x

Phie04 · 23/08/2020 20:19

@JTB123 I got mine sent through an email that I just need to show at the pharmacy. She sent it to me the same day as my booking in appointment at 4 weeks! Haven't used it yet though planning on trying to get into the dentist soon as I haven't been since last march 😩😩 bloody coronavirus!!!

So I have my 12 wk scan in just over a week and there is nothing to say on my letter or online whether OH can come or not? What are the regs atm?

Oldermum80 · 23/08/2020 20:23

@Phie04 it seems to vary depending on your trust. Mine isn’t until mid sept but on the letter they’ve crossed out that up to two people can attend. I’m hoping it changes before then as my partner has never experienced it before other than in March when we were told there was no heartbeat and baby wasn’t the right size, so I would love for him to be able to come and hopefully it be good news this time.
