@Mrs1989 i feel exactly the same. No sickness, no sore boobs, slightly more tired than normal I suppose? DH seems to think it's all fine but i cant help but feeling so paranoid, and no priv scans booked either.

Aurora124 · 22/08/2020 20:19

@Mrs1989 people just love gossip! Well since my last message MIL just told me so and so's" daughter is pregnant but I'm not supposed to know " I have no hopes for mine being a secret much longer!. Awwww I would be devastated if my whole family knew about my engagement before I told them! Im not surprised you were angry.

Aurora124 · 22/08/2020 20:22

Im so sorry everyone, I feel i ask a lot on this post but I'm not very good at giving advice!

I have a new worry! I had a c section with my last pregnancy 5 years ago. Now and again if i sit a certain way and sneeze I can really feel a pain where my section was. I have just sneezed and feel like something has burst! It was really painful, its ok now but its such a worry!.

Mrs1989 · 22/08/2020 20:44

@DSP21 no sore boobs here either! DH thinks they’re bigger but they’re not - it’s just wishful thinking on his part 😂 The only things I have had that come and go are the mild sicky feeling, which I feel I can barely class as morning sickness, cramps (more so in the very early weeks) and a desperate urge to pee. I’ve gone off a couple of foods I used to like, not sure if that’s a symptom? Like you, I have also been feeling very tired, more so than usual. I actually feel guilty at how little I seem to be able to manage in a day! Do you mind my asking how far along you are? Are you holding out until your 12 week scan? Lots of ladies on Mumsnet have said that’s what they prefer to do. I have tried to hold off as long as I can with the private one xxx

MummaLoz · 22/08/2020 20:51

Hi I’m almost 10 weeks due 22nd March 2021!👶🏻
I’m very nervous as already warned very high risk it’s my 2nd baby I’m 37 and previously had pre eclampsia praying 🙏🏻 everything is ok at the scan in two weeks!! Hope everyone is coping well xx

DSP21 · 22/08/2020 20:52

@Mrs1989 I do feel guilty with how little I get done too! Esp since i can't class my odd waves of nausea as morning sickness either.

I'm 9 weeks, i had spotting at 7+3 weeks, baby seemed fine but measured a week behind. So it hasn't yet been 2 weeks since my last scan so I feel like i'm being paranoid? I just want another priv scan to put my mind at ease but dh thinks i'm over reacting :S

Mrs1989 · 22/08/2020 20:55

@Aurora124 oh no! Really hoping your MIL doesn’t blab! I wasn’t really that angry, I just rolled my eyes at how typical it was. DH was more peeved, because it’s not something anybody in his family would have done. I said to him “welcome to my family” 😂 Sorry, I don’t have much advice on the pain where you had your c section. Could you ask your midwife? I’m glad it’s ok now but understand it must have worried you. I don’t know if this helps in any way, and I’m no expert so may be barking up the wrong tree with this, but my mum has a big scar from an operation years ago and she has felt excruciating pain that she has gone to A&E with that just seems to pass. She has been told that it is likely to be scar tissue that gets aggravated. It’s only happened a couple of times and years apart but was quite severe and it scared her at the time xxx

Aurora124 · 22/08/2020 21:14

@Mrs1989 actually that does make me feel a bit better, of course I googled it, i think its just because things are streching they are just a bit more sensitive. I hope so anyway

@MummaLoz i really hope everything goes well for you this time. It sounds like you had quite a scary experience.

Mrs1989 · 22/08/2020 21:14

@DSP21 ah, we are quite close then, as I’m 8+6 today. “Odd waves of nausea” is exactly as I would explain it too! Glad you got checked out and baby was fine, but I don’t think you’re being paranoid at all. One week seems an eternity at the moment, life just feels at a standstill. Perhaps you could have a chat with your DH about a private scan closer to 10 weeks to break up the wait? I’ve booked my private scan for almost 10 weeks to hopefully get good news to carry me through to 12 week scan🤞 I have no idea how I’ve made it to this point without one xxx

Hi @MummaLoz, congratulations on your pregnancy and hope you’re doing ok. Hopefully going forwards you will be looked after well if you have been identified as high risk xxx

Mrs1989 · 22/08/2020 21:21

@Aurora124 glad you’re feeling a bit better. I remember when I was last at the EPU the nurse emphasising how much is going in there with all the preparations to carry a baby, so yes, hopefully it is just everything being a bit sensitive while things are stretching xxx

MummaLoz · 22/08/2020 21:23

Thanks lovely hope everything is going well for you 🥰

Thack · 22/08/2020 21:33

I've cried a little the past two days, but I was feeling quite low in myself (which happens from time to time) so I don't think it's hormones.

@Aurora124 is there anyone you definitely want to tell yourself (not just for keeping it quiet)? It might be worth bringing the conversation forward so you have peace of mind for the key people.

My MIL suspects something, hubby was a bit off last time he saw her. I made the error of saying to SIL that we wouldn't look to get another dog when ours passes as we'd be thinking babies at some point. She instantly translated this into us already trying and even asked DH if I was pregnant yet 🤦‍♀️ annoyed me a bit as that was not what I said (plus, rude!!), but she's quite immature so serves me right trying to share a little bit.
No one knows yet anyway. It'll be nice when we do say, but I'm enjoying having 'normal' conversations with people--no pressure and questions.

Aurora124 · 22/08/2020 21:41

@Thack if I'm honest Its nore a case of my mum finding out before I tell her.
She will not be pleased she had hinted several times that I should not get pregnant, she worries like crazy and now I'm older this is not good news to her
So I wanted to wait until the 12 week scan to know things were ok to ease her worry. I didn't want anyone to know until she was told .

LuHen · 22/08/2020 22:02

My scan results were about a week off what I thought going off LMP too @Phie04 - def nothing to worry about! I've not been sick once yet, and I haven't really felt tired either. Hoping there is still something in there! Shock xxx

Aurora124 · 22/08/2020 22:42

@LuHen if it helps, I had zero symptoms with my first 2 pregnancies until I felt the baby kick. This is the first pregnancy I have felt nauseous.

Sussexbysea · 23/08/2020 07:13

Ladies, my migraines are so bad. I’m having to cancel plans, I’m so nauseous, I’m not taking paracetamol but 4head instead.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Sussexbysea · 23/08/2020 07:39

Just to add on to my message that the GP was useless (standard). I don’t want to bother my midwife with it, maybe I should call triage for some advice? I feel like a plonker for calling them

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 08:24

@LuHen that makes me feel less alone, hopefully we're just lucky with the lack of symptoms and baby is fine!

@Aurora124 out of interest, with your other 2 pregnancies without symptoms, what did you end up having? (Im reading way too much into old wives tales atm 😂😂)

Aurora124 · 23/08/2020 09:48

@DSP21 boys Grin so am I, if these old wives tales are true this one is a girl,, but i'm not getting my hopes up. Our family don't have girls!

Oldermum80 · 23/08/2020 09:50

@DSP21 still lack of symptoms here too 😬 I was so ill with my daughter that I vividly remember that, but I can’t really remember with my son, so maybe I was like this then too. It doesn’t help that it was 18 years ago either lol.

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 10:16

@Aurora124 ahh that makes me think even more it's a boy! Dh's family are alllllll boys and I was hoping to break the tradition!

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 10:17

@Oldermum80 I'm just going to roll with it now and be grateful i can carry on with life as normal!

Oldermum80 · 23/08/2020 10:45

@DSP21 me too! Must admit although it’s anxiety increasing at times, I appreciate I’m lucky!

DSP21 · 23/08/2020 10:48

@Oldermum80 although now my bloating has disappeared and im back to wanting to eat sweet stuff which i'd gone off from the get-go, something else to be anxious about!

TheFoz · 23/08/2020 11:07

@Sussexbysea have you tried Tiger Balm? Also a cold cloth on the back of your neck or forehead can help too.
Have you always suffered from migraines or is it pregnancy related?
