Also I found it hilarious when the sonographer kept saying there is the beautiful baby because to me right now it looks like a beautiful blob 😂😂😂

@Boredinthehouse12

Hi ladies, just marking my place again. Going by LMP I’m 9+1 however based on my early scan a few weeks ago I’m 7+5 which is a huge difference! We saw the heartbeat at the first scan so I’m hoping everything is still ok and bubba has caught up. I’m massively concerned as I have so few symptoms. I have another private scan booked on Saturday and the wait is driving me nuts.
@Boredinthehouse12 I'm 9+1 too an ld have hardly any symptoms. I'm a tiny bit tired and my boobs are a little tender. I'm not really had any nausea. I was dated a couple of days behind at a early scan (6+3) which was for cramping. I continued to have bad cramping afterwards this with the minimal cramping is driving me mad with worry. I also have a private scan on Saturday and the days are dragging. I feel like I'm counting down the hours. Fingers crossed for us Smile
EmzG20 · 10/08/2020 11:21

I'm just wondering when I go for my early scan on Saturday I'll be 8+4 going by lmp.
Will they give me a rough idea where I'm measuring to see if the dates match up. I know I won't get an actual due date until my 12 week scan.

Babafarmer · 10/08/2020 11:27

@EmzG20 I would imagine that they will measure crown rump length and tell you the gestation based on that x

2020wish · 10/08/2020 11:35

I’m such a liar. 😂 on here this morning moaning my symptoms have died down. Not even lunch time and I’m back in bed feeling hungover and gagging and boobs back to being very sore

LottieX · 10/08/2020 11:43

I'm anxious now, I've had very very light brown spotting just when wiping this morning. I'm 8+4 with my booking in appointment tomorrow and haven't have any early scans so far. I'm sure I'm just worrying over nothing but would you just advise waiting and seeing how it goes? I've got all the indigestion/nausea/sore boobs and an elevated BBT still. Why is this so stressful!!

chloxhunt · 10/08/2020 12:01

@LottieX yeah my discharge was yellow this morning and I had an early scan literally a few days ago so I'm hoping everything's okay! So I get your worries in a way!

DSP21 · 10/08/2020 12:07

@LottieX I've had brown spotting/discharge twice now and have just been told to monitor it. The hospital have said unless its bright red, heavy, or you have cramping then its not classed as an emergency. Not helpful but I'm sitting here hoping all is okay too!

Boredinthehouse12 · 10/08/2020 12:24

@Babafarmer I’m pretty much the same with the symptoms. I have slightly tender boobs, mild tiredness and a teeny weeny but if nausea which subsided once I nibble on something. Fingers crossed for both of us for Saturday! I have my booking in appointment on Thursday so I’m trying to mentally break the week down.

LottieX · 10/08/2020 12:26

Thanks @DSP21 and @chloxhunt you've honestly made me feel better! I'll see how it goes and if it gets crampy then I'll head to the hospital for a check. I've read about 25/30% of pregnancies have spotting which is surprisingly frequent!

DSP21 · 10/08/2020 12:29

@LottieX the best thing to do is avoid Google! There are positive outcomes and negative outcomes so best to just keep away and keep an eye on it x

chloxhunt · 10/08/2020 12:32

@LottieX I'm glad you're feeling for relaxed! I have an early scan due to cramping and they couldn't find anything wrong which was good, my discharge has gone back to normal now so who knows what that was lol maybe it was just slight spotting like you said most people get it which I haven't yet or I might not, everybody's body is different so it's kinda hard to go by other people's experiences my cramps starting when I was due for my period so I assumed I was about to start 😂

Anonymom31 · 10/08/2020 12:44

@KatyCherry23 thank you for responding and congratulations on your pregnancy. I see you went for a scan today and all is well and they can't see where the bleeding is coming from. That happened to me at 7 weeks had some very light brown discharge and they scanned and everything was okay. I also had a scan at 8 weeks which confirmed baby was growing as it should but since then my anxiety has been all over the place with worrying.

My pregnancy with my little boy was fine but had lots of symptoms which helped me. My recent miscarriage has really changed me in terms of worrying. We had the confirmation on 6th May that id miscarried after bleeding for 6 weeks we knew what they would say at the scan. Surprisingly on 27th June I found out I was pregnant again which was a real shock to be honest since we weren't really trying and didn't think it would happen so quickly. But the stress and strain of our loss has really changed how we feel right now and i was recently too frightened to update my apps or talk on these boards about my pregnancy in case it jinxed me some how as we told quite a few people when we caught in march and when we had the loss we had to tell so many people it was so hard and made things so much worse.

I saw your post about bloating too! I feel huge this time around too! I've brought some maternity clothes because it felt like everything was digging into me too but i brought them and didn't say a thing out load! My twelve week scan is next week and I'm absolutely terrified about it. I feel like this anxiety is taking over everything around me !

Sorry for my rant!

chloxhunt · 10/08/2020 12:44

Does anybody else keep suddenly going from not hungry to starving to the point they feel like they're going to throw up even if they are 10 mins ago? God knows how I'm gonna cope when I go back to work 😂

Anonymom31 · 10/08/2020 12:47

@LottieX hope you don't mind me jumping in. I had light brown spotting at 7 weeks and when checked they said it could be old blood which is being pushed out due to the size of your uterus expanding. It just sits in the cervix and is pushed out as we grow.

If your nervous about it or have cramps and it continues i would still call the GP for a referral to the EPU at your local hospital.

Its hard not to get anxious in these situations but if you feel you need reassurance if this continues you should go get checked out.

Hope this helps xx

Oldermum80 · 10/08/2020 13:04

@Anonymom31hi, there’s a few of us on here with the same worries re lack of symptoms. I’m 7+3 and had an early mc in December then a MMC in March so I get the anxiety.
I also didn’t want to jinx anything so lurked on here first. I didn’t contact the EPU or midwife until 6 weeks. I am trying to take each day as it comes but it is hard when you have already had losses. This is my last try as I am 40 so if it doesn’t work out then we are giving up which makes is even harder.

DSP21 · 10/08/2020 13:19

@chloxhunt yesss!! I go from full to starving in seconds!

LottieX · 10/08/2020 13:19

@chloxhunt I feel like this all the time, to the point I feel like I'm going to die of hunger and then I eat and I'm like oh my gosh I want to be sick. It's a fight between the two sides honestly!

@DSP21 thank you for your advice, it's hard to stay positive sometimes and you're right google is a really bad place sometimes!

@Anonymom31 it's good to hear that other people have been in a similar situation! I'm just feeling like there is a lot of 'activity' going on in my womb at the moment and it feels likes it's stretching so hope it's just the shifting of some old blood.

I've not told anyone about my pregnancy so far, I would have told my mum but I suddenly lost her in January so having reassurance from others is a real help x

chloxhunt · 10/08/2020 13:22

@DSP21 @LottieX right! It's so annoying! My stomachs ends up burning like I haven't eaten all day 😂

DSP21 · 10/08/2020 13:48

When you guys had your booking appointments did they give you a time that they'd call?

I missed a call on Thursday afternoon and the midwife left a message saying she was calling for my booking appointment and that she'd try again Monday. I tried to get back in touch to ask what time and have no yet heard anything. Do they expect you to be sat waiting by your phone all day?

LottieX · 10/08/2020 13:55

@DSP21 They gave me a time and said it'll last roughly an hour. Also to expect the number to be private/withheld. It would have been a bit awkward if they'd called in the middle of a conference call so I'm glad they've given a set time!

DSP21 · 10/08/2020 13:58

@LottieX exactly my predicament! I have meetings/calls scattered throughout the day. I've just found the whole experience with the midwife/hospital so bad so far

Anonymom31 · 10/08/2020 14:39

@DSP21 originally they text me saying I would have a call at some point on the 25th July and I thought it was a little inconvenient as we plans in the afternoon and since we are keeping it secret I didnt want to rush off to our car to take an hour long call on a Saturday. I mean who was I going to say that was. And everyone would have probably figured it out since everyone knew about our loss in May. Luckily thought I had a text on the 24th saying the midwife would call me 10:30 which was perfect for me!

I've had so many appointments already through this pregnancy because im a type 2 diabetic. At my 12 week scan it will be my 3rd scan and my 12th or 13th appointment. I think im so used to it all now lol I just go with the flow. Its madness but it still seems better organised then with my little boy where I wasn't treated for my pre existing diabetes until 17 weeks when I should have been seen from week 6 shakes head

Charlotte2020 · 10/08/2020 14:39

I've been told by my midwife that all appts will be over the phone until further notice. How can they monitor the physical aspects (urine etc) over the phone?
Has anyone else been told this?

Taylortyler · 10/08/2020 14:45

Hi all, how do you add a new thread to 'watching' I'm on the iPhone app... I did it with the last thread but can't work how to do it with this one

I am at my desk ready to murder the woman in the office who won't let me put the air con on because "it's so much nicer with fresh air from the windows" it's 33 F-ING DEGREES!
