How did you get a medical exemption certificate? Does the hospital give it to you at your 12 week scan?

Lollol86 · 02/10/2020 12:45

@GreySkyClouds my midwife done mine, I got the details the day after my 8 week appointment xx

Same as above, it arrived in the post after my booking in appointment

@Spinksy9 Congratulations and welcome to the board! Sounds like you've had a pretty rough time of it - I hope you start to feel better soon. :)

@firsttimemomtobex I have my scan in 2 weeks too! For a while, I felt like I was the only one on the thread with slight symptoms so it's nice to know there are a few of us in the same situation.

@AlbertCookie I hope you're scan went well today. :)

@Lynz2020 Oh boo - I hope the lemon and honey does the trick and your cough starts to ease. It's not fun at the best of times, let alone during the first trimester! x

Lynz2020 · 02/10/2020 12:59

@Parkandride I had to have a temp filling out in this week and I got to use my certificate for the 1st time, nice to not have to pay for once. My midwife did mine at my 6 week appointment online and I just show the email, need a crown at some point too so hoping I get to use it then too.

Lynz2020 · 02/10/2020 13:00

@LeopardLover I know, it's a pain, stated getting it on Tuesday and I read so many things online that you can't have honey etc but I rang the midwife who said it was completely fine which is good.

AlbertCookie · 02/10/2020 13:17

My scan was fine!
Baby didn't want to be measured....was jumping and dancing around all over the place and in the wrong position. Was quite funny really. She sent me off to have a walk and eat something sweet then come back to try again.
Luckily we got the measurements in the end! I'm measuring a bit earlier than we thought at 12+2 so due date is 14th April. Just off to Google the normal nuchal translucency range now!

LuckyFlash · 02/10/2020 13:48

Mine was the same @AlbertCookie it was like a washing machine in there 😂 so weird that you can’t feel it even though it’s moving so much!

Sastuk · 02/10/2020 16:48

Awe @haidri and @indecisivewoman81 I’m so sorry to hear your news, I hope you’ve got plenty of support when I lost my first the miscarriage association were great, ignore those with “well meaning advice” take your time to process it all, thinking of you x

I had a scare last night I found I was bleeding and assumed the worst given previous experience. Had to have blood tests and a scan got to see my baby and find out it was ok. Now crossing my fingers the rest of the pregnancy goes well 3 weeks to my dating scan now.

SazCat · 02/10/2020 17:52

@SkyeBarn I'm due 21st April too! My scan is Weds 14th, I'm anxious for it to be honest as I've not had loads of symptoms either and had an early loss in July. Will be wishing the next week and a half away!

LeopardLover · 02/10/2020 19:03

@Lynz2020 Can't have honey!? I've never heard that - wow! Glad it's fine and you'll hopefully start to improve. 💕

@AlbertCookie Oh that's sooo cute haha!! 😁

@Sastuk Gosh, that must've been terrifying. I'm glad all is well.

@SazCat It seems there are a bunch of us with scans that week - mine is the 15th. I'm wishing the time away too! Using the NHS calculator I'm due 22nd April! X

haidri · 03/10/2020 01:56

Had to birth out my 11wk child naturally and man was it painful! Mama's out there that have also had a MC, I'm sending you love too. Pray for my strength!

LeopardLover · 03/10/2020 07:27

AprilShowers2021 · 03/10/2020 18:46

@AlbertCookie I had my 12 week scan yesterday and was exactly the same. The baby was moving all over the place - legs and arms everywhere and kept turning its back. It was very difficult to get measurements. They had me jumping up and down and everything haha. The sonographer also kept hitting/banging the wand on my stomach quite hard, which was a little odd and quite painful. However, all is well and I'm due on 14th April.

pandabear437 · 04/10/2020 19:24

Scan on Tuesday, can’t believe it’s finally almost here!! Fingers crossed for everyone with scans in the next week or so xxx

Lollol86 · 04/10/2020 20:04

@pandabear437 best of luck for your scan and to everyone else who has theirs this week ❤️

83Mimi · 04/10/2020 20:23

Mine’s tomorrow morning. Am so anxious - I can’t remember ever having felt like this before! Really wish my partner could be there with me, but at least he is wfh so will be there when I get home

Good luck all those with scans coming up x

LeopardLover · 04/10/2020 20:47
