Sadly it was bad news for me. The bleeding turned out to be because the baby had died at 6 weeks (I should have been 10+5). I have to wait now to see if I miscarry naturally

firsttimemomtobex · 01/10/2020 13:55

Anyone else due around the 20th April and not experiencing any symptoms? I'm dreading getting to my scan and finding out something is wrong because other than a tiny bit of nausea a couple of mornings and super bad stomach cramps almost every day I've had 0 symptoms!

LeopardLover · 01/10/2020 14:04

@indecisivewoman81 Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. 💔😔 Try to look after yourself as much as you can right now. You're in my thoughts. 💐

LeopardLover · 01/10/2020 14:10

@BuckleUp It would be pretty funny to discover a friend already in there! I'm just being extra cautious because there is a very unlikely change a colleague would need to use my account / I'm permanently logged into my Facebook account at work, for work 😅 Not long until I can make the switch once the news is out! I'm off to the second part of my booking appointment and terrified of running into someone at the surgery 🙈

@firsttimemomtobex I have very minimal symptoms too! The odd bit of nausea, and I too get cramps (none that actually hurt) but I think it's mostly down to my IBS - my boobs definitely got bigger and I'm more tired / get out of breath easily but it's very easy to hide from others. I totally understand your concerns! Have you had any reassurance scans yet?x

BuckleUp · 01/10/2020 14:11

@indecisivewoman81 I'm so sorry to hear this. Look after yourself xx

BuckleUp · 01/10/2020 14:15

@firsttimemomtobex I had cramps for most of the first trimester (like mild AF cramping). Plenty of nausea though. You might be one of those lucky women who don't really suffer with pregnancy symptoms, though I completely understand while it would make you more nervous.

@LeopardLover That's unusual! I've always been banned from using Facebook at work in all my jobs. I hope your appointment goes well x

LeopardLover · 01/10/2020 15:44

@BuckleUp All done! Only took 20 mins and it was so quick - although noticed I've jumped up 8lbs 🙈 That'll be the lack of exercise and my new crisp obsession haha. I really wish Facebook was banned - the joys of working in social media 😅

LuckyFlash · 01/10/2020 15:52

@indecisivewoman81 so sorry to hear that! 😢

This hasn’t been a good week for our thread! Keeping fingers crossed for the rest of the scans.

I don’t want to jinx it but yesterday and so far today I have been nausea free for the first time in 6 weeks. Really hoping this is the turning point. I even managed to go for a swim - much needed as I was weighed at my scan and have also put in more weight than expected! Unsure if it’s since I got pregnant or if the lockdown pounds had piled on before lol.

I told my work yesterday and they were all so nice about it. I was quite surprised at such a positive reaction as I’ve only been there a year and have been on furlough for a lot of the last few months thanks to Covid. It’s a big weight off!

Tiff94 · 01/10/2020 17:01

@cgirl16 I've added you now sorry been super ill and back in hospital so only just looking at fb now

cgirl16 · 01/10/2020 17:12

@Tiff94 thank you so much. So sorry to hear that - HG sucks. I hope you feel better soon Flowers

Spinksy9 · 01/10/2020 18:42

Hopes its okay to join. Had my 12 week scan today and due 10th April 2021.
Still find it hard to get excited incase anything goes wrong! But husband is very excited!
I've suffered with really bad morning sickness. Lost a stone, nearly hospitalised and now just constantly feel sick! Hope it starts to improve soon! Although I know ill then start worrying if I lose my only symptom!x

AprilShowers2021 · 01/10/2020 19:00

@Tiff94 hope you're feeling better.

@LuckyFlash thats so good you were able to swim. I'm desperate to start working out again, but I'm still too sick.

Can any of you lovely ladies advise me on how much water I need to drink and how far in advance of my scan time? It's my 12 week scan tomorrow and they didn't tell me what to do...

Spinksy9 · 01/10/2020 19:04

@AprilShowers2021
I had a full bladder when I arrived but was uncomfortable so had a wee then drank about 250mls while waiting. I was scanned 50 mins after my actual appointment time so its hard to tell how full you should have your bladder when you arrive. Take a drink with you x

firsttimemomtobex · 01/10/2020 19:52

@LeopardLover I haven't booked a reassurance scan as my 12 week scan is only 2 weeks away now so was going to wait until then but it's just a constant worry for the next two weeks!

@BuckleUp fingers crossed I am just one of the lucky ones! My cramps are quite painful sometimes though

AprilShowers2021 · 01/10/2020 19:58

Thanks @Spinksy9. I will make sure I'm really hydrated before I leave and drink some more water whilst in the waiting room. I'll probably take my tenner lady too just incase haha BlushGrin x

SkyeBarn · 01/10/2020 20:50

@firsttimemomtobex I'm due 21st April and I'm completely the same. The only symptoms I had was some cramps, tiredness and sore boobs but it seems to have all gone. Makes me worry for my scan too but my family members were all the same.

firsttimemomtobex · 01/10/2020 20:53

@SkyeBarn good luck for your scan hun, if family have all been the same I'm sure you'll be fine. I don't have any relatives that have been pregnant recently that I can compare with, I'm probably worrying for nothing but you never know..

AlbertCookie · 01/10/2020 21:03

I'm so sorry to hear these bad news posts Sad it's so unfair.
I have my scan in the morning, feeling nervous, and not sure how I'm going to keep a pint of water down to be honest!

Lynz2020 · 01/10/2020 21:10

I'm getting my 12 week scan next week, i still get really bad nausea from the minute I wake up to when I go to bed, only thing that helps is to eat but as soon as i start eating i feel nauseous again so have to stop. I've also now got a cough from being back to working in a school so I think I've caught the cold that's been going around so been trying to have hot water with honey and lemon. Always worried about coughing too much as it hurts my stomach.

SkyeBarn · 01/10/2020 21:26

@firsttimemomtobex when is your scan? Mines next Friday! I'm sure it'll be fine!

LuckyFlash · 01/10/2020 22:12

I had my scan this week and barely drank anything before hand and there was no issues seeing the baby so I don’t think a full bladder is as important as it is if you have an earlier scan. However it did make my urine sample difficult and my blood test took ages because I hadn’t drank enough So my blood was slow so I think there’s a happy medium between nearly wetting yourself and being the Sahara!

83Mimi · 01/10/2020 22:27

@firsttimemomtobex I’m the same and have really managed to get myself super anxious over the lack of symptoms. I’ve been pretty gassy (it’s so delightful!) and a bit queasy before bedtime. But that’s it really. Also a bit emotional and tired but I wonder if that is self inflicted due to the anxiety!

I made the dentist laugh today as my gums were awful and bleeding a lot when examined - I said I was really pleased when he told me that’s a common pregnancy symptom!

MamaLulu1986 · 02/10/2020 07:45

@KeepSmiling89 @haidri @indecisivewoman81
I'm truly so so sorry that this has happened to you.... I've been absent from the thread this week and I'm so sad our lovely group has been hit with such devastating news 😔

Sending all my love and comforting thoughts to all of you and I hope your all being looked after 💛

firsttimemomtobex · 02/10/2020 08:26

@SkyeBarn mine is the Friday after yours, the 16th, fingers crossed for both of us. Let me know how yours goes!

@83Mimi I'm so glad it's not just me, I hear so many people talk about how horrible their first trimester was and I'm like well is something wrong with me because this is fine?! Yeah when I had a booking appointment on the phone the midwife told me to register with a dentist because pregnancy takes a toll on your teeth/gums!

Parkandride · 02/10/2020 10:08

The dentist confirmed my receeding gums yesterday so I'm on-board that train too, had a filling replaced too. Nice to use the maternity exemption cert though!

I'm another with very few symptoms, just the odd food makes me queasy but that only lasts a second. Boobs were super sore but not so bad now, bit of bloating and constipation but I can't complain.

10 days until scan and I'm getting so nervous about it.

So sorry to hear more horrible news @indecisivewoman81 I hope you're getting lots of love and support.
