Has anyone had the viability scan where they go internal? Was it ok or did it cause any issues?

Tiff94 · 31/08/2020 09:09

@Lynz2020 I had that a 6 +4 it was easy not painful and could see babies hb xx best of luck

Parkandride · 31/08/2020 09:20

@Lynz2020

Has anyone had the viability scan where they go internal? Was it ok or did it cause any issues?
I've had a lot of internal scans during fertility treatment, they're fine and I like that you need an empty bladder!

@gypsywater @furbabymum15 @123feraverto how are you all doing this morning? My bleeding has slowed again and my clinic said unless there's pain and golf ball sized clots they'd remain optimistic. Im just going to take it easy, maybe get my midwife referral done even if I feel like a fraud doing it

123feraverto · 31/08/2020 09:32

@Parkandride @BuckleUp @LeopardLover

Thanks for your thoughts , I don't think there's any hope now.

Tested this morning and it's only the faintest positive now 😔 when it was a nice strong line previously

I had an early MC last cycle at almost 5 weeks , GP advice then was just monitor wait and test to ensure negative

I expect I'll have a negative by tomorrow so will just let the GP know then

Hope everyone else is doing ok Thanks

LeopardLover · 31/08/2020 10:00

@123feraverto I'm so sorry 😔 Thinking of you 💐

MamaLulu1986 · 31/08/2020 10:17

@123feraverto I'm sorry to hear your having a horrible morning, keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

@BuckleUp thanks for your response 😚 it's like a stretching, shooting pain sometimes then other times is like a dull ache...., it's really playing on my mind.... I've had it since I found out I was pregnant. I've got my midwife appointment this week so I guess I'll ask then? Ps I think we might have the same due date? 12th?

I honestly don't remember anything like this with my first 🙈

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 10:32

@Ndl86

So a little update for you all. We're expecting Twins!!!! Shock only measuring 6 weeks 6 days due date 19th April. One is measuring at 6 weeks so going back in 2 weeks to check again. Sonographer said both have strong heartbeats so hoping both will be OK 🤞
Hi ndl86! This is my first time posting on here! Such amazing news! Congratulations 😊 Our due date is 5th April 2021 and We had a private scan yesterday just to check everything was ok before telling family and we also found out we are expecting twins! My husbands face was a picture too and I had to apologise to the sonographer as I couldn't stop laughing either 😂 I had always said I would love to have twins but never thought it would actually happen!
BuckleUp · 31/08/2020 10:45

@123feraverto We're here if you need to chat, so sorry you're going through this x

@MamaLulu1986 I'd talk to your midwife when you see her this week. Mine told me that some cramping was normal as the uterus stretches. If it becomes really painful you could always contact your GP for advice too. We do have the same due date 😊. This will be my first, don't know what I'm letting myself in for!

@lavendersblue92 Twins! Congratulations, that's so exciting! I'd love twins but don't think it's likely lol. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy x

Ndl86 · 31/08/2020 10:46

@lavendersblue92 congratulations!! Has it sank in yet? It hit me like a tonne of bricks late last night and now its all I can think about. We had just come to terms with being pregnant then were hit with a double wham lol. I'm really excited but haven't a clue how we will afford 2 lots of childcare 🙈. In fact two lots of everything haha. Do you know if you're having identical?

Apricotta · 31/08/2020 10:52

@lavendersblue92 congratulations!!! @Ndl86 glad your happy about it 😄 I'm not sure how I'd feel if I found that out at the end of Sept when I have my scan as this is my first pregnancy, I'm not sure how I'd cope! Part of me does love the idea though 💞

Anyone else suffering with morning sickness. It's horrendous for me 😒 it's getting worse day by day. I've been sick twice now but doesn't give me much respite. Nothing I do seems to help. God knows how I'm going to get through the school day! It's soooo bad when I wake up and is at its worse through the morning. DH went out this morning and bought me ginger biscuits but not sure it's a magic fix for me 😔

Furbabymum15 · 31/08/2020 11:03

Hi lovely ladies, I just wanted to update you..... I have been scanned and unfortunately there is nothing in there other than a collapsed sac and a lot of blood waiting to come out..... I have a rescan next week but I know what I'm facing. Good luck to all you ladies I hope you all have happy healthy pregnancies xx

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 11:14

@BuckleUp thank you! Never say never lol, I didn't ever think we would be having twins 😂

@Ndl86 no I don't think it's sank in fully yet lol, my minds taken over by constantly feeling nauseous but I definitely feel a lot more protective knowing there's 2 babies growing inside me 😂 me and my husband kept going omg 2 high chairs 2 beds 4 car seats 2 lots of school uniforms haha no idea how we will afford it all either but I'm sure we will figure it out. They are in their own amniotic sacs so she doesn't think they will be identical but did say we might know more at our 12 week scan as the scan yesterday was a private reassurance one. How about yours?
@Apricotta thank you ☺️
@Furbabymum15 oh sending hugs your way hun, hope your doing ok

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 11:21

@Apricotta I'm suffering with morning sickness but not throwing up a huge amount, just feel nauseous all day everyday. I'm finding all I can really stomach at the moment is anything potato so mash, chips and crisps lol. Try sipping a bit of fizzy pop that is supposed to help and has helped me a little. I hope it gets better for you soon hun.

I also forgot to say this is our first pregnancy! So massive shock to find out it's twins, going from no babies to 2 straight away 😂 life's about to get manic haha

LeopardLover · 31/08/2020 11:21

@Furbabymum15 Sending you lots of virtual hugs - I'm so sorry. Thinking of you. 💐

Lynz2020 · 31/08/2020 11:23

@Furbabymum15 Sorry to hear this news, it's an awful experience. When i had my mmc in April I didn't start spotting until a few days before it happened which was 1 day before my 12 week scan and had a really bad back with slight cramping and pink spotting but everytime I rang the epu or midwife all i got was its normal and to wait until my 12 week scan. The day before my scan was due I had intense cramping in the middle of the night and had to rush to the toilet where I had a gush of bright red blood and I rang the epu who said i should go to a&e who then took me up to epu who then checked me and said i was going through a miscarriage and I should come bk later in the day for an internal scan but when i rang they didn't have my records or anything to say id been there which was annoying but finely someone rang me to say I could go in where they confirmed the baby had died at 8wks 4 days and my body hadn't recognised it and the sac was pretty low and I should prepare myself and surely enough about 3hrs later it all started coming out. I'm really hoping this new one is fine as I really don't want to go through that again.

LeopardLover · 31/08/2020 11:27

@MamaLulu1986 Welcome! Your pains sound very similar to mine. I'll have days where I feel nothing, then nights where I get the dull ache and other times where I have stabbing pains (not painful / don't last long). From what I've read that's pretty normal - but this is my first pregnancy!

@lavendersblue92 Eeek! It's raining twins! HUGE congratulations - this is so exciting. One of my best friends has twins and has loved every moment (although does put this down to bottle feeding from day 1). 💕

@Lynz2020 Sorry to hear about your previous loss, that must have been traumatic x

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 11:34

@Lynz2020 fingers crossed for you with your new pregnancy hun, I can't imagine what it's like to loose a baby

@LeopardLover thank you! ☺️ we are so shocked but so excited it's insane lol. When we decided to start a family I thought about weather I would breast or bottle feed but I think having twins might mean bottles lol I might need all the help I can get with feeding 😂

Ndl86 · 31/08/2020 11:45

@Furbabymum15 so sorry to hear this, stay strong 😥

@lavendersblue92 they are in separate sacs too but we are the same as you we had a private scan so should know more at 1st NHS scan.

Lynz2020 · 31/08/2020 11:45

@LeopardLover @lavendersblue92 For it being my 1st and we got pregnant 1st month trying it was awful, you always hear people say in your 30s it gets harder and you're more probe to miscarry but you never think it will happen. Just wish my body had of recognised it straight off instead of making me think I was 3 months. Took the next 3 months to concieve this new one so we're keeping everything crossed. I've had more nausea this time and my breasts are really sore but I'm still having period type cramping which I've had since I found out which I didn't have the 1st time so but sure if its a good sign or not. Its why I've booked an early scan to see if everything is ok.

Parkandride · 31/08/2020 11:52

I'm so sorry @Furbabymum15 Flowers I'm glad you got some answers fairly quickly, hopefully they were supportive at the EPU, so horrid and unfair Sad

Same goes for you @123feraverto twice in row is just heartbreaking , are you having much bleeding? Flowers

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 11:57

@Ndl86 exciting times ahead! What's your due date?

@Lynz2020 I'm sure if you have any questions and worries your midwife will be happy to answer :) How far along are you?

gypsywater · 31/08/2020 12:04

@Furbabymum15
So sorry to hear this Sad Heartbreaking. I hope you are doing OK. We are here for support if needed. Look after yourself.
@123feraverto
Thinking of you too. I hope things do work out for you.

No update my end. Havent noticed anymore spotting but am being vigilant and trying to take it really easy.

Lynz2020 · 31/08/2020 12:08

@lavendersblue92 I'm 7 weeks or if you go on different websites in 6 weeks then 6 weeks 5 days lol. I'm just going off the 1st day of last Af. My midwife just says if I have nausea it's a good sign Hmm

Ndl86 · 31/08/2020 12:09

@lavendersblue92 I thought it was 13th April but she said I'm 6+6 so 7 weeks today. One of the babies is only measuring 6 weeks so she wants me back in two weeks for another scan. Due date is 19th April now. Little worried about baby two as the size difference was so clear to see. Sonographer didn't seem too worried said both had heartbeats but I can't help but be concerned. Just counting down the two weeks now hopefully baby 2 has caught up.

lavendersblue92 · 31/08/2020 12:26

@Lynz2020 ah haha yh I have used the pregnancy plus app and put in my first date of last period and it pretty much gave me the correct dates I think. Do you have your first scan booked in?

@Ndl86 is that the private place that are having you back? I was told at my scan it was normal for there to be a difference in their sizes at this stage so I'm sure it's normal and will be fine :) ours measured at 9+1 and 8+6
