@furbabymum15 I've had bleeding today at 6+2 which has been scary. What's yours like? If it's not heavy, red and painful then it could be nothing, I'm trying to reassure myself that I've had a scan and it was probably that bringing it on, sex seems common to cause bleeds too.

Wow congratulations on twins @ndl86 do they run in either family at all?

Ah @chicken123 that brilliant, isn't it a weird experience having a cry with dildo cam still inside you Grin

Ndl86 · 30/08/2020 18:13

@Apricotta thanks still in complete shock its going to take a while to sink in for sure. My husbands face was a picture, i just burst out laughing. We joked about twins when we first found out we were expecting, twins run in both sides of our family but never actually thought it would happen to us.

@Parkandride thanks, yes twins on both sides so we were kind of high chance I suppose. Just need these next two weeks to hurry and hopefully baby 2 will have caught up slightly. Its never ending worry isn't it.

Anyone else having twins/multiples?

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 18:39

@Ndl86 Ahhh, such incredible news! Huge congratulations! I wish twins ran in my family 😅💕

SVC11 · 30/08/2020 18:58

Wow congrats @Sansa87 and @ndl86 woo woo what an adventure. I've decided not to have an early scan so won't find out if it's 1 bean or two til 12 weeks but jeez I feel so exhausted all the time... I could sleep 24/7. Not sure how I'm going to cope with work over the next few weeks either and hubby is away too 😴

Furbabymum15 · 30/08/2020 18:59

@ParkandRide mine has gotten quite bad and without tmi its bright red with clots so I'm not feeling hopeful xx I'm sure yours will be perfectly fine tho xx

gypsywater · 30/08/2020 19:07

@Furbabymum15 I've had some bleeding/spotting today too - I'm 6+1. Feeling really worried now. Was yours a lot? How are you feeling? Going to just have to see how the bleeding progresses I guess :(

Parkandride · 30/08/2020 19:25

Mine has got worse too @Furbabymum15 also red with clots but slowed again now. Lots of tears here, are you waiting til the morning?

Sorry you're in the same sucky boat @gypsywater how much have you had? I think it's sods law that it's a Sunday evening before a bank holiday that this happens to us.

I feel in limbo, discharged from ivf clinic but no midwife yet, no gp open, EPU needs a referral. I'm going to sit tight until the morning, can't bear to be ringing places and waiting this evening. Sent DH out for pads and chocolate.

I got 1 day, 1 day after the scan without worry or waiting after the stress that is ivf. I just wanted to be able to enjoy this Sad

Furbabymum15 · 30/08/2020 19:32

@Parkandride @gypsywater sorry to hear you're both in this predicament. It's just awful isn't it...... Mine started off spotting and over 48 hrs progressed to cramps and bleeding. I got assessed earlier today and they said my cervix was closed which was good and booked me a scan for tomorrow morning..... Fast forward 3 hours I've got cramps and period type bleeding x I don't have much hope for me but fingers crossed for you both xx

BuckleUp · 30/08/2020 19:39

@Apricotta @LeopardLover Thanks for the reassurance regarding dtd. It's rare I'm in the mood thanks to nausea, but I do miss the closeness with DH.

@Ndl86 Welcome and congratulations, that just have been a massive surprise and then finding out it's twins in top! Oh my you'll have your work cut out! I've always wanted twins, but they don't run in my family so not expecting to see double at my 12 week scan 😂

@Chicken123 It must have been so lovely to hear that heartbeat, I'm so happy for you!

@Lynz2020 I hope your early scan goes well next Sunday 😊

@Furbabymum15 @Parkandride Sorry to hear you're still experiencing bleeding. Have you contacted the early pregnancy unit for a reassurance scan? I think your gp can refer you. Thinking of you both x

@gypsywater I read somewhere that sex and internal scans can trigger spotting. I think if it's brown or very small quantities then it's nothing to worry about, but you could always get it checked out if you need reassurance?

@SVC11 I think I'm waiting for the 12 week scan too, I've heard rumour that my hospital should be letting partners attend the scan from September so I've decided not to book a private one. Hopefully the rumours are true! Like you I'm very tired and could sleep 24/7..

gypsywater · 30/08/2020 19:41

@Parkandride @Furbabymum15 Have everything crossed for you both. Just spotting for me so far which I noticed a couple of hours ago. I dont even know what the procedure is if noticing this. I dont have a midwife yet! I guess just wait to see what happens?

Apricotta · 30/08/2020 19:42

@Furbabymum15 @Parkandride @gypsywater so sorry to read what you're going through 😢 I seriously hope it's OK for you all, keep us updated. Big virtual hugs to the three of you xxx

123feraverto · 30/08/2020 19:43

@Furbabymum15 @Parkandride @gypsywater
I'm with you guys also , 6 weeks today

Woke this morning with bleeding which has continued all day with cramps and clots

My EPU is the same needs referral and being only just 6 weeks no midwife yet
And no GPs on a Sunday

This will be two consecutive MC for me now Sad

Thinking of you all

SVC11 · 30/08/2020 19:51

I have all my fingers crossed for you ladies xxxx

SVC11 · 30/08/2020 19:52

Is a and e an option for you ladies? Xx

Ndl86 · 30/08/2020 20:42

Keeping everything crossed for you all. I had numerous scares during my first pregnancy. A&E should be able to help xx

gypsywater · 30/08/2020 20:44

Thanks everyone. Is medical advice generally needed or, if the worst happens, is it something that can just be dealt with at home? First pregnancy so a bit clueless.

GreySkyClouds · 30/08/2020 21:09

Fingers crossed for you all x

Lynz2020 · 30/08/2020 21:14

Is anyone else always hungry? I feel sick then I'm OK when i eat then like 1hr later I'm hungry and nauseous again, literally all day for the last few days. Trying to not be a pig and just eat when I should be as I don't want to go crazy with the weight.

Apricotta · 30/08/2020 21:35

@Lynz2020 sort of similar. I can't work out if mine is triggered by an empty stomach or dehydration. Initially thought it was hunger, but after drinking 4-5 medium glasses of chilled water, which would normally take me a day not an evening, it's given me a massive respite of the nausea.

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 22:44

@Furbabymum15 @Parkandride @gypsywater Thinking of you all and sending lots of love - hoping you can all get reassurance scans ASAP and things improve. Xx

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 22:46

@123feraverto I'm sorry 😔 Have you tried the EPU helpline anyway? It seems crazy they wouldn't help if there's no where else to turn on a Sunday xx

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 22:47

@BuckleUp I agree - I miss DTD! Keep telling myself it's just temporary. Can't wait to jump DH again 😅

MamaLulu1986 · 31/08/2020 01:12

Hello there, this is my first time posting, feeling a little nervous about doing so, but was on another “due in April group”, and just plucked up the courage to post and now the thread is closed! Lol! So thought I would join you guys instead....but just wondered if any of you ladies are experiencing pain at all?
I don't remember having any pain this early on (I'm 8 weeks) when I was pregnant with my first? It was much further into my pregnancy when I felt any kind of discomfort....

MamaLulu1986 · 31/08/2020 01:13

Ps I’m sorry to see some of you are having worries at the moment.... I hope all is well 💛

BuckleUp · 31/08/2020 08:38

@gypsywater @Furbabymum15 @Parkandride @123feraverto Sorry to hear you're still suffering. I really hope you're able to find some medical support today. Thinking of you all x

@Lynz2020 I'm constantly hungry too, eating seems to be the only thing that keeps the nausea at bay.. I'm going to be the size of a house! At first all I wanted was salty food like crisps but I was worried about the nutrition, so I've swapped to fruit, veg and protein instead and it seems to be doing the trick.

@Apricotta Good shout about the water, I'll try that today. I've been struggling to drink enough tbh so I'm feeling pretty dehydrated. I'll try and force some down my neck and see if it helps!

@LeopardLover Haha he won't know what's hit him! I know there are other ways to feel connected, but I like knowing it's going to lead somewhere 😂

@MamaLulu1986 Welcome to the group. What sort of pain is it? I'm 8 weeks today and get quite a lot of cramping at times, similar to period cramps. I spent too long bent over yesterday so I hurt yesterday evening (lesson learnt!). Hope it improves for you soon x
