Feeling really bloody awful the past couple of days and all day too.
My heart rate seems to have picked up so when I’m trying to sleep all it feels like is that I’m having a heart attack.
I also have such dragging, dull period like cramps on both sides but also like really bad trapped wind or constipation pains which are making me soooo nervous.
I have my early scan tomorrow and although I’m excited, the fear has fully taken over x

JoesM12 · 28/08/2020 20:22

I am right there with the ones feeling horrendous!! I've had a about a week and a half of not being about to function at all because I just feel sick all the time.
Today has been better thankfully so I'm hoping it will start to ease of!
Hang in there ladies!
We had our reassurance scan today! It was amazing. So lovely to see the little heart beat. Baby had a heart rate of 158 bpm and she said everything else looks great.
I'm measuring two days ahead so my due date is now 10th April 😊
Doesn't feel like I have too long to wait to the 12 week scan now so I'm definitely glad we booked it as I feel so much more relaxed 😊

GreySkyClouds · 28/08/2020 21:23

I’ve been feeling really sick all week but not today (don’t know whether that’s a good or bad thing!).

I look really bloated but coronavirus makes it easy as a)I don’t see anyone and b)most people have put on weight!

Apricotta · 29/08/2020 08:26

@GreySkyClouds I'm becoming really sick 😢 I've not thrown up yet but I'm getting closer to it each mornings. Retched today after getting up! For me it's proper morning sickness and I totally get why it's called that. It does last throughout they day on and off for me but no where as strong as when I wake up! It is a good sign, I did read that there is a slight correlation with less miscarriages when the mother has morning sickness. Doesn't mean that if you have no symptoms you'll miscarry though!

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 29/08/2020 10:02

Hi @Sansa87! Wow! How are you? x

Vienna2020 · 29/08/2020 10:32

New on this thread! Due 17th April. Feeling awful though, nausea, headaches and exhaustion. Not easy with 2 other kids to look after but having had a MMC previously I'm taking the signs as a good omen Smile

Sansa87 · 29/08/2020 10:39

Hi @FoxtrotOscarPoppet I’m doing okay, thanks, bit nervous obviously, but trying to be cautiously optimistic.

How have you been? Love how many August pact ladies there are! Xx

BuckleUp · 29/08/2020 11:03

Welcome to all the new joiners! So happy to see you here too @Sansa87 - I hope this one is your rainbow baby 🌈. Sorry to hear some of you are struggling with sickness, it must be so awful 😢

I've been feeling pretty sorry for myself this week, the nausea has been getting steadily worse, though I'm yet to be sick thank god. I'm feeling a bit better so far today, probably because I'm not sat bored at my desk wfh! I'm going to try a gentle run today as I haven't done anything more energetic than walking this week and want to get back into it if I can.

Talking of exercise.. how are you guys finding dtd while pregnant? We took it gentle this morning, but it was the first time in 3 weeks thanks to the nausea. My mum seems to think sex in the first 12 weeks is a big no no and I forgot to ask the midwife.. What do you guys think?

Apricotta · 29/08/2020 11:06

@BuckleUp lots of websites say sex is OK, as is any associated pleasuring. We ve not dtd but done other gentle things, so far so good.

I don't know why I'm watching Saturday Kitchen. Food looks amazing but feel too sick to eat! Took me an hour to nibble at 2 slices of toast this morning!

Ndl86 · 29/08/2020 16:09

Hi Everyone, I hope you don't mind me jumping on the post. This is my first post on here so not up to speed with all the abbreviations yet sorry. I found out a few weeks ago I was expecting my 2nd baby which was a complete surprise. My first is nearly 13!! My husband has always said no more so that was an interesting conversation and I really didnt think we would be having another especially so many years on. I've worked it out that I'm due 13th April. It feels very different this time round. I am a nervous wreck, constantly worrying and thinking something is wrong (I've had an early miscarriage before). I've booked an early scan for tomorrow so fingers crossed all is as it should be. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy pregnancy xx

Apricotta · 29/08/2020 18:39

@Ndl86 congratulations!
Abbreviations: BFP Big fat positive 5+4 five weeks 4 days into pregnancy Xx

Apricotta · 29/08/2020 18:40

I think I'm 7+4 but expecting to be told different at my scan at the end of Sept

Ndl86 · 29/08/2020 18:47

@Apricotta thanks that's my first one noted lol. Seen that one loads as well but could not work it out. Do you think earlier or later? I'm supposed to be 7+4 too Smile

Apricotta · 29/08/2020 19:43

I honestly have no idea. My period started on the 7th July and lasted 5-6 days. Its usually 2-3. Dtd on the 21st, 25th & 27th. The clue App said it was my fertile week and predicted my ovulation on the 28th. So it can't be that far off. My periods were well crazy until I'd settled into lockdown, they then became 35 days. I honestly think being away from the stress in work sorted my body out!

Ndl86 · 29/08/2020 21:29

I used the clue app too as a tool to stop me getting pregnant obviously something went wrong lol. My last period was 7th July as well but I think i might be earlier than 7+4, don't know why just a feeling. Ive not had my scan appointment through yet, I have my first appointment middle of September but letter says my scan date will follow. I'm way to anxious to wait and found a good deal online hence the early scan tomorrow.

Chicken123 · 30/08/2020 08:57

Morning ladies,
My early scan yesterday morning could not have gone any better.
I saw the little peanut and he/she is measuring exactly to what I thought I was which is 7+4!
The strongest little heartbeat and I’m completely in love! I cried so much!

How are you all feeling x

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 10:47

@Sansa87 It's so lovely to see you here! 💜

@JoesM12 Congratulations! That's such a strong heartbeat. 😊

@BuckleUp Sorry to hear you've been struggling this week! Hope you're feeling a little better today. 💕 We haven't DTD since I found out, because I've been feeling off and not very sexy, and because I know if I spot afterwards I'll just freak out. I've read so many times it's perfectly safe!

@Ndl86 Congratulations! 💜 An early scan sounds like a great idea to put your mind at ease. I think worrying is pretty natural at this stage - I'm working hard on focusing on positive thoughts only (and I'm generally not a worrier at all).

@Chicken123 Congratulations! This is wonderful news - I was thinking of you yesterday.

I'm feeling fine, I tend to have mild nausea in the mornings, then get it quite bad from 5/6pm onwards with the occasional wave in between. Although my breasts feel normal again, the underwire in my bra seems to cut into me early evening and cause pain - it's like I stretch out up there! So I've ordered some soft bras from H&M. 😅 X

Apricotta · 30/08/2020 10:55

@LeopardLover ah your version of pregnancy sickness sounds better than mine, can we swap?! I'm worried how I'm going to cope when I go back to work next week! I'm at my absolute worst when I wake up! I've not physically been sick yet but I'm so so close. It's so bad in the mornings for me. Yesterday I got a window of relief between 12-3pm. It is horrible 😔 I'd like two kids ideally but I'd have no idea how people cope with the sickness when they've already got a child to look after!!!

LeopardLover · 30/08/2020 11:01

@Apricotta Oh you poor thing! 😔 Are you no longer WFH/in a role where that's not possible?
You are a good week ahead of me so there's time for me to catch up 😅 I honestly have no idea how I'd cope with just mild nausea in an office environment, I have so much respect for all the women powering through and keeping it secret.

I do have food aversions - I'm an absolute chocoholic but the thought of it turns my stomach now. My only vice has been taken from me 😉

Apricotta · 30/08/2020 11:23

For my sins I'm a teacher 😅 ... I've let SLT know though.

Lynz2020 · 30/08/2020 11:55

When I get nausea I just have a couple of ginger biscuits and it seems to die down for a while. Ginger definitely helps with sickness. I've got my early scan next Sunday (day before I go bk to work in a school) i'll be almost 8 weeks so I'm hoping everything is good.

Ndl86 · 30/08/2020 13:45

So a little update for you all. We're expecting Twins!!!! Shock only measuring 6 weeks 6 days due date 19th April. One is measuring at 6 weeks so going back in 2 weeks to check again. Sonographer said both have strong heartbeats so hoping both will be OK 🤞

Furbabymum15 · 30/08/2020 14:20

Hi ladies I've been experiencing bleeding at 6wks 4 days has anyone else experienced this. I I'm due 19th April x

Apricotta · 30/08/2020 15:43

@Ndl86 congratulations! What a surprise and a half! How are you feeling about this?

@Furbabymum15 in in my first pregnancy so can't really comment. I've had no bleeding or spotting. But depending on the bleed you're having it could be normal, I. E. If it's not heavy or clotty. Thinking of you and hoping it's just one of those things that clears up as quick as it came. Xx
