@LeopardLover I am still tracking but I know what you mean about over thinking every temp that's a bit low.. I don't think there's any benefit to tracking it during pregnancy. I'm just so in the habit that I might as well continue!

Is anyone else severely bloated? I am overweight as it is and I’m paranoid I’m gonna be the size of a house. My stomach makes me look like I’m 5 months pregnant already due to the bloat. I haven’t put on weight, I keep checking as I really can’t afford to put weight on! I have nausea which only alleviates if I eat little and often but I only want to eat rubbish. my last pregnancy my morning sickness meant I could barely eat and I ended up losing weight.

April2021 · 23/08/2020 20:49

Hi @Chicken123 my symptoms come and go too. It seems to be normal from what I've read and not to read into it too much.

LeopardLover · 23/08/2020 22:19

@Chicken123 This is me! It does worry me slightly and I miss the awful bloat or sore boobs! Then I'll get a little wave of nausea then nothing most of the day - and I miss that crap feeling too! I'm really not much of a worrier in general, but I'm overthinking everything!

@BuckleUp Thank you for sharing! I know you love data 😅 DH wants me to quit it, I might sneak in one more before I give up. X

CatCrazyx · 24/08/2020 07:33

5+6 today and wow the nausea is intense atm! Waking up every morning feeling as if I’m going to be sick but not quite needing to... I’m wondering if it will get to a point where I do need to start physically being sick.

Can I ask a question which is probably really stupid.. I have a hair appointment booked on 18th September for a full hair bleach (going from dark to blonde) and I’m in two minds whether to go. The internet seems to have conflicting information about whether it’s safe, thoughts? 😊

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 24/08/2020 08:19

Morning @CatCrazyx Awful nausea here this morning. Ran to the toilet as I really thought I was going to throw up.

My hairdresser said she wouldn’t do an all over colour where any dye touches the scalp but she said putting colour on foils was safer as it’s only on the hair. My greys are coming through but I’m probably going to wait a bit longer. I’m not sure I’d cope with nausea and having to sit in a hairdresser with a mask on for two hours.

@CatCrazyx Here's a link from the NHS regarding hair dye. I think I'm going to wait until after 12 weeks and then stick with highlights so the dye doesn't touch my scalp.. www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/is-it-safe-to-use-hair-dye-when-i-am-pregnant-or-breastfeeding/

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly today, I hope it improves for you x

@Tiff94 Thank you, I haven't joined yet, but I will eventually 😊

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 24/08/2020 09:47

Morning @BuckleUp.

How are you feeling?

BuckleUp · 24/08/2020 10:39

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet Morning 😊. Not too bad, a bit nauseous but ginger biscuits are helping. I'm mostly struggling with drinking enough liquids because there's nothing I want to drink.. You feeling better now?

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 24/08/2020 11:52

Slightly. Got out for a nice long walk across the fields with the dog which does seem to help.

BuckleUp · 24/08/2020 12:22

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet Yeah, I've found exercise and fresh air seems to help. My nausea is pretty bad today but I think it's related to being stuck working from home and being a bit bored..

indecisivewoman81 · 24/08/2020 12:36

@chicken123 I am yhh thy e same as you. My symptoms are not consistent. Some days I am very hungry and others don't fancy anything. Some days my boobs feel heavy and sore other days they don't. I keep getting little cramps very low down and feel tired in the afternoons but nothing much else.

Trying to not let these things worry me as my friend didn't find out she was pregnant until ( months and didn't have any symptoms.

Chicken123 · 24/08/2020 15:50

I’ve got such a crampy and stretchy feeling tummy today. It’s always there and not really a pain as such but just uncomfortable. I’m 6+5 today. Has anyone experienced this? X

JoesM12 · 24/08/2020 16:39

@Chicken123
I have a very similar feeling! Not painful more just a niggly cramp! I'm 7+1 today and have been getting the same sensation for a few weeks. Hopefully it's normal and just stretching to make room for baby 😊

BFP2020 · 25/08/2020 08:13

6 week scan all good nice strong heartbeat 💓💓 sickness kicked in properly yesterday so from the minute I wake I'm nauseous all day 🙈

BuckleUp · 25/08/2020 08:18

@BFP2020 Aww it must have been so nice to hear the heartbeat 😍. Do you feel more relaxed now?

BFP2020 · 25/08/2020 08:19

@BuckleUp way better have another one at 8+3 so it breaks up the wait and at least you can see everything is fine 💓 how are you?

BuckleUp · 25/08/2020 08:31

@BFP2020 Sounds like a plan! I'm 7+1 today and have my booking in appointment tomorrow morning. We'll probably book a private scan so DH can join me the first time, but I'm torn between getting one in the next week or waiting until there's more to see.. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself yesterday, the nausea was relentless! Feeling a bit better so far today though 😊. You had many symptoms?

Chicken123 · 25/08/2020 08:41

To the ladies who have already had early scans, did they change your dates slightly at all?
I wasn’t tracking ovulation as we weren’t trying so I don’t actually know when we conceived, we and the midwife are just going by the first day of my last period which would make me 7wks tomorrow.
I’m convinced I’m slightly further than that but I have no idea and probably won’t know until my 12 weeks scan as they say trust those more than the private scans.
We’re booked in on Saturday at WTTW. Has anyone had any experiences there. I’m terrified😂

BFP2020 · 25/08/2020 09:32

@BuckleUp I had an 8 week on my first and just looked like a cashew nut 9 weeks is a good time you should see more and then you only have 3 weeks to wait until your 12 week scan. I will break it up a bit. My nausea is bad now since yesterday have to keep nibbling on things i'll be the size of a house Shock

@Chicken123 At mine this morning I was measuring 6+1 and going by when AF was I'm 6 weeks but she said that will change at 8 weeks and 12 weeks.

LeopardLover · 25/08/2020 10:06

@BFP2020 Yay! How exciting. 😊 Bet you can't wait for the next one! Was it an internal scan?

I've just been hit with a wave of nausea - eating definitely helps. I'm trying not to gain all the weight this early on 😅

Chicken123 · 25/08/2020 10:34

@BFP2020 That’s interesting.
I’m hoping it’s the same for me or even better, if I was slightly further on than I thought.
Saturday can’t come quick enough. I’ve already told OH not to expect a dull blown baby on the screen and that it’ll be a small blob😅

alessandra27 · 25/08/2020 11:16

@Chicken123 I had my WTTW early scan at 8+4 a few days ago, my dates didn't change at all as I knew exactly when we conceived. It was brilliant, saw the baby waving its arms and legs around and it's little heart beating - much more baby like than I'd anticipated! The people at my
WTTW were lovely too, so kind and calming, I was very anxious. They went straight for an internal scan rather than trying abdominal, which I wasn't expecting but was absolutely fine with.

Chicken123 · 25/08/2020 11:41

@alessandra27 That’s so good! And what an amazing experience! I hope to have the same.
It explained on the website for our local one that before a certain week, they only do transvaginal because you can see more and it’s also easier to check the your ovaries etc which I read they do during the scan.
I have NO idea when we conceived. My period app told me that I ovulated 22nd July which would make me the date I am today but I don’t know..before my miscarriage in June, I had 29 day cycles and afterwards I had 31 days so who bloody knows😂 x
