@DressingGown87 yes, big hugs lovely, that sounds very anxiety inducing but you're definitely in the best hands and the fact that you've been sent home (even if you live close to hospital) is encouraging. Hope you give yourself lots of treats tonight and that all is well xx

Flora20 · 17/08/2020 19:58

@DressingGown87 I hope you get some answers tomorrow and they can find out exactly what's going on - glad she's moving again today. Try to get some proper sleep tonight, good luck tomorrow X

krissy12 · 17/08/2020 20:01

@DressingGown87 hope your doing ok. last year my friend was being monitored and her babies heart rate kept dropping and when they scanned her he was playing with his cord 🙈 and they put it down to that hopefully its something similar.

also ladies I know tmi but does anyone else feel like they are constantly needing to pee ( I had urine checked last week and was clear)

Sls668 · 17/08/2020 20:03

Does everyone suddenly feel exhausted again now the third trimester has approached. I felt AMAZING from 16 weeks until the day I hit 29 weeks and now I’m just like a potato all over again! I can’t decide if it’s because I’ve got a cold and feeling run down or if this is just the way things are going to be now for the next 2 years (minimum 😬)

DressingGown87 · 17/08/2020 20:12

Thank you everyone! Hospital and MW are being great, she just called to check on me! Will owe lots of wine; thank you cards and virtual hugs to you guys when this is all done with. I’ve had a bath, nice tea, chocolate bar, and lots of rest. Early night.

@krissy12 ahh that’s good to know! Hope the monkey was just doing that. I pee a lot, some days more than other, but have done from quite early on. Maybe just the babies position, putting pressure on your bladder, hopefully it jiggles off.

SamK93 · 17/08/2020 20:26

@DressingGown87 it's nice they're checking up on you, let us know how you get on tomorrow.
@krissy12 peeing is all I do! I've thought about sleeping in the bathroom most nights! When the baby's having a good old wiggle around I feel a pressure in my bladder and I have to go straight away. I think it's just the way they're positioned sometimes.

SamK93 · 17/08/2020 20:29

@Sls668 I feel the same, it's probably due to your cold too. Make sure your having enough sleep, drinking plenty of water and eating the right foods to keep your energy up. Some days I don't want to get off the sofa at all! At the end of the day we are growing tiny humans it takes a lot of energy out of us so no wonder we're tired all the time.

1990shopefulftm · 17/08/2020 20:45

@DressingGown87 glad your midwife is checking in, hope all goes well in the morning.

@Sls668 I slept through the night for the first time in 3 weeks last night and still feeling tired today and I ve been eating quite well and drink loads so I think it's just the pregnancy making me more tired.

Freddie1987 · 17/08/2020 20:54

@Sls668 you've taken the words out of my mouth, it's hit me like a truck the past few days! I heard that first trimester symptoms can rear their ugly head again at this stage as progesterone levels rise again to do all the final growing work so it's no wonder we're exhausted.

Anyone else started batch cooking like a mad woman too?! 🤣

Sls668 · 17/08/2020 21:14

@Freddie1987 @SamK93 @1990shopefulftm I was expecting it to be back soon but not that quickly! I thought I’d have until 32-34 weeks before it hit me hard! I’m hoping I’m just run down and it’ll shake off for a few more weeks!
I was struggling with my lower back and hips but saw the chiropractor today so I’m hoping that’ll have helped. I feel like I’m getting to that ‘wishing she’d come soon’ stage now!

Sls668 · 17/08/2020 21:15

@Freddie1987 I keep wondering if it’s time for that (although we’ve still lots more to prepare!). I wonder if I can ask family and friends to do some freezer cooking when they ask what we need 😂

FirstSurprise001 · 17/08/2020 21:16

@krissy12 definitely seen an increase in needing to pee! I had my urine checked too and it was all clear. Can be upwards of 3/4 times a night and got to the point that I have to go twice before I go to walk the dog otherwise it’s a mad rush to get back 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

KitKatKit · 17/08/2020 21:17

@DressingGown87 Oh love, I'm sorry to hear you're going through it today. Crossing everything for you and really hope everything is okay.
Big hugs 💜

Flora20 · 18/08/2020 07:50

@krissy12 Definitely - think my baby likes to use my bladder as a trampoline, so I'll think I'm fine and then suddenly have to go because it feels like I might burst 🤣 It'll only get worse I'm afraid... Last time I was teaching up until 2 days before I gave birth and spent as much time popping to the loo as I did actually in the classroom!

@Sls668 I'm exhausted at the moment but my toddler is currently going through a bad patch in her sleeping so I'm only getting a few hours a night - 4 and a half last night, so today's going to be interesting 😭 When she's asleep the baby is dancing around so not boding well for when it's born...

krissy12 · 18/08/2020 08:14

thanks ladies glad it's not only me Smile

GhostWorld · 18/08/2020 09:14

Thanks everyone, the meal was delicious and I had a bit of cheese and meat just to satisfy the urge but only a taste. Unfortunately was very anxious last night so think its probably not worth it in the future!

@DressingGown87 Hope today goes okay, I'm sorry this is happening but also lovely that you're feeling supported by the MW

SamK93 · 18/08/2020 12:02

Just checking in @DressingGown87 hope all is well?

DressingGown87 · 18/08/2020 12:12

Thank you everyone. I have placenta insufficiency, which is uncommon, but expected in my pregnancy with my previous fertility issues. The blood flow increases with the pregnancy, and my levels have dropped. They have gone slightly up again since Sunday, which hopefully means it is a 'blip' as I am already on medication to manage this. I just have to monitor her movements more closely, as that is the biggest symptom of their something being wrong and continue with weekly scans. They have started giving me steroid injections incase she has to come earlier. I feel shattered today (still) so going to try and rest. Thank you all.

@GhostWorld Glad you had a nice evening, and enjoyed some food, won't be long until you can fully endulge.

@Flora20 Hope your managing to sneak in a daytime nap! 4 Hours sleep and running around after a toddler is tough.

SJR86 · 18/08/2020 13:50

@DressingGown87 make sure you rest up and look after yourself Thanks keeping everything crossed for you it was just a blip.

I've just had my 31week midwife appointment, still no sign of relaxing the rules about birth partners in my area at the moment - only allowed in during active labour.

SamK93 · 18/08/2020 14:13

@DressingGown87 aww hopefully it is just a blip. Ooh no I remember having two steroids injections in my thighs 24 hours apart with DS when they thought he may come early and they are actually the worst! But I bet your used to injections etc now you must be a lot stronger than I was with them. Relax and take it easy x

1990shopefulftm · 18/08/2020 14:48

@DressingGown87 Hope it's just a blip for you, sounds like they're keeping a good eye on you and baby.

Has anyone had night sweats at all ? I was worried I had an infection last night as I felt so hot but my temperature was perfectly normal and I had no other sign of being ill so that seems to be what it is.

Flora20 · 18/08/2020 17:28

@DressingGown87 Hopefully something that will reverse quickly with your medication, but it sounds like they're doing a great job at keeping on top of everything. Do they seem hopeful that she's able to stay in there a bit longer?

DressingGown87 · 19/08/2020 08:23

I’ve slept so much the last few days / binge watched tv. Must have needed it. Thank you all for your messages.

@SJR86 aww hope they change the measures soon, and glad your app went well. I’m on local lockdown, and we are also one person during labour / visiting etc. I’m just hoping they change soon, as I can’t have anyone in my house to help / visit me once she is born.

@SamK93 they aren’t nice, but yes slightly getting use to the needles now.

@1990shopefulftm hope the night sweats are better, I’ve not experienced them to offer any advice sorry!

@Flora20 I can’t fault my trust since finding out i was PG, my MW has been so nice. I was seen privately and by a women’s hospital a few years ago, so they knew what potential complications I could have. The consultant said I’ve done well up to now. So just this last bit to get through, they are hoping she can stay until 37-39, but are monitoring her constantly, as it could starting dipping again. If it starts effecting her growth / distress, they will just do a CS. I don’t think I’m mentally prepared to go full term now 🙈

Next look like they are releasing a new season of clothes soon, if anyone is looking for anything.

Hope everyone is ok!

@DressingGown87 we've still got time from them to take us back out of the local lockdown but I think any reasonable person would see it's more important for you to have support at home if you need it after baby is born, compared to the other things which really aren't necessary that are still allowed at the moment.

Mc3209 · 19/08/2020 10:37

@1990shopefulftm I had night sweats a bit earlier on in pregnancy, but they resolved.

Ladies, does one wash sleeping bags in preparation for the baby? I am starting to wash all the baby clothes and organise it (at the moment it's a pile on the bed in a spare room..)
