I’m due on 21st but it’s bets on that he’ll be a Halloween baby. We’re all getting so close!

SJR86 · 18/09/2020 10:40

I was due on the 18th Oct...however my waters went on Tuesday and I'm now booked in for induction on the 27th Sept (unless little one decides to arrive naturally sooner!)

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 18/09/2020 11:10

I'm due on the 31st Oct, too

FirstSurprise001 · 18/09/2020 11:19

@SJR86 how scary but also so exciting! I hope you’re feeling okay in the mean time 🥰

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 18/09/2020 11:28

Are any of you ladies on the overweight side? I've just got back from my midwife appointment and the baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead (I have a scan booked in for next week to check all is well) however she said it may be because my BMI is on the high side or could just be to do with baby's position..

1990shopefulftm · 18/09/2020 11:36

@SJR86 hope all goes well with your induction and that you're feeling good in the mean time.

Mc3209 · 18/09/2020 11:38

@SJR86 I've got everything crossed for you! All will be well, I just know it 😘😘 How are you feeling?

Mc3209 · 18/09/2020 11:47

@monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt not the same situation as you, but I've put on shed load of weight this pregnancy and I am measuring 90th centile which was confirmed by the scan (scan was booked for reduced movements, not bump measurements).
Bump measurements are not very accurate. See what the scan shows.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 18/09/2020 12:45

Thanks @mc3209 I'm trying to not let my head worry! Midwife said if I am measuring big on scan I might get offered an induction for 39 weeks.

Good luck @sjr86

roarfeckingroarr · 18/09/2020 13:01

11 October for me

SJR86 · 18/09/2020 13:11

@FirstSurprise001 @1990shopefulftm @Mc3209 @Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt
Thank you, spent two nights in hospital being monitored, now home but getting lots of low down tightenings, particularly at night. I am excited but also made me realise that I need to get a move on with things like getting the car seat in the car etc!

SamK93 · 18/09/2020 13:13

So good to hear from everyone!

@SJR86 aww I hope all is well, what advice have they given you until then?

Crazy to think we are all due to have babies within the next 6 weeks! It's gone so quick. Here's to healthy babies, easy labours and births!

1990shopefulftm · 18/09/2020 13:28

Had my prenatal phone appointment with health visitor, hopefully, she'll be the one to come out for the post-birth visit as she seems exactly the sort of person that I find helpful with health professionals.

She was very much, this is the evidence-based advice and completely it's mums choice how to feed baby so gave some advice on formula.

watersintheclouds · 18/09/2020 14:44

29 October here. I’d love them to be an October baby (my birth month) but prepared for them to not arrive until November.

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt I’ve been consultant led for high BMI from the start. I’ve had growth scans 4 weekly from 28 weeks so they haven’t even bothered to measure my bump. My baby is measuring at 90% as of 32 weeks but I’ve been told to take the weight estimate with a pinch of salt as there is a margin of error. Needless to say I haven’t bothered with any tiny baby clothes.

BS9790 · 18/09/2020 16:06

@Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt, I agree with what @Mc3209 said... Bump measurements don't mean much, even my consultant said that last week.
My bump is measuring below 10th centile but on scans baby has been measuring above 90th centile 🤷‍♀️
Bump almost 3 weeks behind, baby 2 weeks in front 😂

DressingGown87 · 18/09/2020 16:11

@SJR86 aww hope your ok, glad they monitored you. Plenty of rest, I’m sure your induction will come round quick.

@watersintheclouds I would say wait for your scan and hopefully it’s more accurate. I’ve been monitor for small percentile (3rd) but she jump to 50th within 3 weeks, but they where on scans. It’s so hard to measure on the bump, as they can be in all sorts of positions.

@1990shopefulftm they do seem nice and helpful, and non judgemental to formula feeding.

Sorry tagged @watersintheclouds in my last post, not @Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt (baby brain)

60sPony · 18/09/2020 18:35

@WaveStreet Same due date here. Though I went two weeks over with my son 🤪
Maybe I shouldn’t expect the same as the midwife said that not many second babies are late

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 18/09/2020 18:37

Thanks all, I'm taking comfort in the fact I'll get to see my baby again before he arrives so holding on to that

1990shopefulftm · 19/09/2020 10:55

anyone else's babies taken to kicking their ribs? i've broken a rib before and it's not as painful as that but it is quite uncomfortable.

roarfeckingroarr · 19/09/2020 12:19

@1990shopefulftm yes mine is constantly pummelling my right ribs. All the time. It's sore!

1990shopefulftm · 19/09/2020 12:23

@roarfeckingroarr I ve tried talking to him in case that miraculously worked but no such luck. Hope it gets better fit you.

DressingGown87 · 19/09/2020 14:24

@1990shopefulftm yes it’s my right side constantly, she hates the left. I try lying slightly on a angle and propped, and that usually persuades her to budge down slightly. Hope he listens soon.

Is anyone else having crazy dreams / nightmares again? Seems to be the last few nights... to the point I don’t want to sleep.

OP posts:
Freddie1987 · 19/09/2020 14:35

Yep, I'm getting the right side kicking, actually noticed a slight bruising there yesterday!

@DressingGown87 not getting the bad dreams as such but I'm getting horrible flash thoughts of bad things happening quite often during the day or just before sleep which ain't nice, obviously. All part of the hormonal mix and our mum brains telling us to start being hyper aware I think!

1990shopefulftm · 19/09/2020 15:40

@DressingGown87 I wonder what it is about the right side that babies prefer. I m sorry you've been having nightmares, one of the strange silver linings to my bad memory is that I don't remember dreams if i do have them.
@Freddie1987 the bruising must be uncomfortable.
