Hello! So I'm 32+4 with my second, a girl this time 😊 the whole pregnancy has gone quick as been running round after my toddler, though now I know I'm almost there it's going so slowly! So looking for some buddies to compare notes and pass the time with! Though don't know why I want it to hurry up as I know too well the pain and sleepless nights ahead 🤣 just I think uncomfortable enough now to want her out! Everywhere pretty swollen already, hips hurt and wake me up, I pee all the time even in the night, tired and get some braxton hicks. How are others doing?

I'm 33+4 with my first, due on the 21st September :) We've not found out if we're having a girl or a boy but I seem to change my mind every 5 minutes as to whether I think it's a boy or girl!! I wouldn't say I'm too unconfortable, rolling over at night in bed is a mission and a half but other than that can't complain too much. I'm really enjoying being pregnant and as much as I can't wait to meet baby, I can't imagine not feeling them rolling around in there, so I think that makes me happier to just plod along through pregnancy! I'm about 90% sure that I want this baby to be our only child, so I know that this may be the only time I get to feel like this so just trying to enjoy it for as long as I can! Honestly don't know where the time has gone though

FourPlasticRings · 06/08/2020 17:39

I'm very tired and feel too hot but otherwise fine. The occasional arse javelin or cervix dagger, but generally not a huge problem. 32 weeks today, so technically due on October 1st, but DD came a week early so I wouldn't be surprised to have this one in September.

Chocolate4me · 06/08/2020 17:45

Hi, would love to join... I'm 33+1 with a girl... After 4 boys! Anxious to be at the end stage now, feel like I'm constantly seeing how long is left. I have gestational diabetes so off for a scan tomorrow and hoping they'll tell me if I'll be induced or not. They also said I have a low placenta that was missed at the 20 week scan, so I'm nervously waiting to find out if that has moved so I don't need my first ever c section.
Feeling OK really but the lockdown has meant much more time sitting around, so now if we go to a park or something, I definitely feel more tired at the end of the day

Spark27 · 06/08/2020 18:15

Hi. I'm 32+4, due on the 27th with my 2nd, another girl. My DD will be 3 on the 29th Sept. Definitely seems to be racing by a bit now, I think it's due to having a toddler to run around after, and no one seems to care as much when it's your 2nd. Fingers crossed everything's going ok so far. Had a private scan 2 days ago and baby was estimated at 4lbs 8oz. Ended up being induced last time at 38+2 due to reduced movement, so no idea what it's like to actually go into labour 🙈

Elly88 · 06/08/2020 19:17

Hello all!
@spark27 I think we were in some conception chats together! Congrats :) same due date as me too!
@chocolate4me good luck with your scan, I had a glucose blood test last week but haven't heard anything so assume I have got diabetes. And yes I defo think lock down has made me notice the time a bit more, I do have my toddler to run round after but it's more a case of trying to keep him entertained and at this stage and in this heat I just want to put my feet up in front of a fan with Netflix and cake!
Craved sweet stuff so bad this time with a girl.

Waves at Spark27.

Chocolate4me · 06/08/2020 21:19

I'd presume you don't have it then Elly88 as my hospital told me if I didn't hear back within a few days it was good news.. But they rang me the next morning to say I had it.

I have a 2.5 year old too (and a 7 year old, 9 year old and 12 year old).... Keep trying to tell the 2.5 year old I can't pick up all his toys because my tummy is so big and I need to rest on the sofa.... Then when his Dad asked him to tidy up, he said 'my tummy hurts, need rest on sofa' 😂😂 luckily he seems to want picking up less at the moment as a few weeks ago he wanted to be constantly picked up!

Flower81 · 06/08/2020 22:40

Hello all! :) I'm 32+1 so very much an end of September baby! I also have a toddler so feeling pretty exhausted trying to keep up with her. Don't know how you all have found things this time round but I've found it pretty lonely being pregnant at such a strange time so really pleased to find this chat.

Spark27 · 06/08/2020 22:53

@Chocolate4me, my DD has been the same. Moaning about having a bad back and talking about her tummy hurting 😅. I'm having to be really conscious of what I say around her, and make sure I take the time to explain what I mean. And I dont want her to think the baby is naughty for hurting me.

I've found it really isolating this time round @Flower81. Been WFH since the end of March and barely get any whatsapp chats from my friends. I get they're all busy with their kids, but it's like out of sight out of mind this time. I'm pretty sure next time I see them I will have another child and the whole pregnancy will have been missed. Even family dont seem to care about the pregnancy, I'm sure all my mum wants to do it see my DD and wait for the new baby. I really hope we get to do some newborn classes in person this time and it's not still all online by then.

Elly88 · 07/08/2020 00:25

Welcome others!

I have a 19 month old so he has no clue about there being another baby in my tummy or on the way, he likes the baby gym though 🤣 he just randomly woke up crying so I had to go into him and all I can think is, I'm going to be exhausted with a newborn is 7 weeks times, how am I going to do both 🙈 but least once they're both through that stage I'm done and haven't got to go back to the starting line lol. Was adament we weren't having any more after him as I really struggled, but so glad I get another go and now get one of each, this pregnancy has been much easier than my first tbf.
I also have found it a lonely time, I've been completely furloughed since mid March and won't be returning until after mat leave so haven't seen many people my whole pregnancy, will also be emerging with another baby in tow! None of my work friends have bothered to check in which is a shame, couple friends have but I've always had to make the most effort and a lot I haven't even heard from. What's with that?! It's like when you have children you go off their radar (I'm one of the first to have babies in my friends) x

I'm 32+1 so actually due on 1st Oct but can I join? 👀🙂 This is my fourth (!) but was a bit of a shock when we found out! All really excited now, cannot wait to meet her!! I'm really uncomfortable! Peeing all the time...sneezing is a gamble...and so hot! I've never been heavily pregnant over summer before! Oh and we're having the garage converted (for baby) and fitting a kitchen ourselves so feeling a bit stressed! Nice to read how everyone else is doing x

FourPlasticRings · 07/08/2020 05:31

Due date snap @Troubledmummy3!

mistletoeprickles · 07/08/2020 07:15

Hi ladies

I'm officially due the 6th of October but I have a section booked for the end of September at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes and a previous section.

This is unannounced baby number 3. I have DD 10 and DS 3 and this one is a boy too.

I have just under 7 weeks to go and I'm really feeling it now. I'm very heavy and uncomfortable. I don't really sleep much so not looking forward to this hot weather over the next few days!

I'm another whose been furloughed since March and I was made redundant last month but I'm still SMP eligible so it's ok but I'm missing the social interaction!

Flower81 · 07/08/2020 08:05

I know what you mean about not looking forward to this hot weather! 😓

And as much as I wish you guys didn't feel it too, it's reassuring too know I'm not the only one to have been finding things lonely. I've been working from home so I do get to chat to others but definitely miss face to face interaction and have really missed being able to see my mum throughout most of this pregnancy x

Elly88 · 07/08/2020 11:26

Why has my body chosen today of all days to start manicly practising braxton hicks contractions 🙈 seriously, can we not just relax today body? Also been a mix up with the family and are having a bbq today... Kill me now. Hope you're all surviving so far!

mistletoeprickles · 07/08/2020 11:43

@Elly88 yes I lm having to same problem then quickly realised I haven't drank much. A buckey of water later and it's calmed

Elly88 · 07/08/2020 12:12

@mistletoeprickles good idea, I have been drinking water but I'll down a good pint and put my feet up when toddler goes for nap soon 👍🏻 x

mistletoeprickles · 07/08/2020 13:30

@Elly88 I've been reading up on it and it seems heat doesn't help either. I've been bad for the last 36 hours on and off. I keep saying this baby isn't going to stay in until 38 weeks but I'm definitely not up for just yet Confused

Daisysandviolets · 07/08/2020 13:33

Can I join I'm 32+5 with my first, feels like the last three months have flown but I'm starting to get super anxious now 🙈 xx

Elly88 · 07/08/2020 14:27

@mistletoeprickles ah maybe why then! I also started on the raspberry leaf tea a few days ago as I defo think that sped my first labour up, and I remember that enhancing my braxton hicks then too. Rather that than a long drawn out Labour tho! Yes as much as it'd be nice to have them out we don't want them just yet do we! Though I can't imagine I'd ever be early. I was only 3 days late with my first but that was after a hearty sweep on my due date which made me have my show. It would be nice if this one was a little early!
@daisyandviolets I get anxiety too, somehow worse when you know what's coming isn't it?! I have moments of "man up, I can do this I've done it before I've got this" to then "oh but remember the pain and he got stuck and I was cut and all the stitches" 😐

Chocolate4me · 07/08/2020 17:50

Hi,
I had my 32 week scan for gestational diabetes and to check the placenta position. Turns out it's 1.4cm from the cervix and most hospitals prefer 2 or 3cm away 🙄 so I have another scan in 2 weeks to check it again and then a call with the consultant about it a couple of days later.
The abdominal scan 2 sonographer were saying it probably wasn't too low but would do a transvaginal to check and she was really surprised it was actually close so no idea why my placenta seems to trick them on scans as my 20 week one said it was high!

Hope we all sleep OK in this heat 😩

Elly88 · 07/08/2020 19:28

What a palarva for you! Hope you get a definite answer and course of action soon. This heat is horrendous, I want winter!!!

Chocolate4me · 07/08/2020 21:17

Stressing me out slightly just not knowing a plan... When I do some googling I come across some stories where people go for their 34 week scan and are admitted there and then for the next 4 weeks till the c section. With 4 kids including the 2.5 year old who still comes in to sleep with me, I'd be in a right panic about not being at home with them. I'm going to prioritise sorting out all their uniform this week just so I feel organised incase I do suddenly have to stay in. Annoyingly I can't find out my hospitals policy or anything either.

We have a fan on in every room of the house, upstairs is just roasting though!

Flower81 · 08/08/2020 07:27

Oh @Chocolate4me I'm not surprised you're feeling stressed about it all. Gotta be quite a shock when they previously told you the placenta was high! Thank goodness the sonographer actually decided to a transvaginal scan though so now they know and it's going to be monitored. I was told at 20 weeks my placenta was less than 2 cm away so I've got a scan, but not til 36 weeks - it feels quite close to the due date to get my head around a c section if that's what's needed, but my hospitals view is that that they often move and still can late on, so who knows... Hope all goes well in two weeks x

Chocolate4me · 08/08/2020 08:08

Oh no, hope yours moves by then! I know alot of them do move by the scans at 28/32 weeks. I actually had a scan booked at 36 weeks too but the sonographer said it was quite late then so it was best to get one at 34 weeks. I wish every hospital used the same guidelines, makes it much easier to find out what the norm is.
