Hi all,

Slightly late to the party, 1st baby due: 22nd March.

Feeling so sick all day - anyone else?

Here's to our happy & healthy pregnancies. X

Clara9 · 05/08/2020 11:58

@BabySweet85
That’s unreal! Are you in a union?

Babafarmer · 05/08/2020 11:59
@bumblingalonghappily I am secondary. I have exactly the same concerns - I will be teaching 150 unmasked teenagers everyday in poorly ventilated rooms. I told my headteacher and HR gave me a risk assessment. The risk assessment is no different for me than any other staff so I haven’t signed it. It even states that I have to break 2m distancing and help every child with their work every lesson. My head is being uncooperative.
Had my booking appointment this morning. An hour on the phone followed by a face to face consultation, for urine sample, bloods, bp and height and weight. I am disappointed that they don't check HCG I was hoping that I would get so reassurance from that. My midwife was lovely. I suffer anxiety and she was really reassuring. I have my 12 week scan but it's not until 12+5 xx

BabySweet85 · 05/08/2020 12:07

@Babafarmer thank you for the links I will give them a read.

@Clara9 - I am in a union - I haven’t contacted them yet x

DSP21 · 05/08/2020 12:08

@Babafarmer that all sounds good though! Thats reassuring that you got a face to face appt. I don't get any face to face interaction till my 12 week scan and have yet to hear from my midwife after sending paperwork 2 weeks ago. It's crazy how they expect you to just sit tight and wait without knowing if everything's ok!

DSP21 · 05/08/2020 12:09

@Charlotte2020 ahhh your 12 week scan is THIS MONTH!! That's so exciting!

Rainbow1808 · 05/08/2020 12:19

@Charlotte2020 my scan is that day too! Exciting

Sussexbysea · 05/08/2020 12:22

All was fine with me and baby at the scan. I’m matching the dates I thought I was 8+2. We saw the heartbeat. Luckily my other half was able to come in with me

I’m so relieved

BatKat · 05/08/2020 13:14

Good luck for everyone having appointments today, fingers crossed for lots of good news.

I’m 6+4 and still concerned with my lack of symptoms so thinking of booking in for a private scan. I would ideally like to wait until 9/10 weeks but I don’t think I have the patience!

bobloblawlawblog · 05/08/2020 13:30

Lovely news on the scans and measurements Smile

Has anyone on here been given any anti nausea meds from doctors? I finally snapped and called then doctors demanding them, am waiting for them to call me back. Am stuck to my bed and having to get my mum to help with my three year old. Can't do anything without being exhausted. Went to scan yesterday and got back and was completely wiped out. It was two miles away and I went in the car fgs.

Clara9 · 05/08/2020 15:39

@Sussexbysea congratulations!

c24680 · 05/08/2020 16:08

All was fine at the scan, I'm 8w
4d not 9w4d, we saw the heart beat, so relieved! Will try and relax now until the NHS dating scan Grin

Nausea and sore boobs symptoms have still disappeared, I do get quiet tired and have back ache often though!

DSP21 · 05/08/2020 16:08

@Sussexbysea that's amazing! Congratulations! It's so lovely seeing all these positive scans and appointments

DSP21 · 05/08/2020 16:10

@c24680 that's brilliant news! and also gives me a bit of positivity after not seeing too much what what I thought was 6+2 but could infact be well behind! Enjoy the lack of nausea!

Chloetipper · 05/08/2020 16:12

@bobloblawlawblog I gave in to the nausea meds yesterday too I'm 7+5. Has anyone else taken them? I know they are safe but I'm still a little anxious about taking medicine.

Sussexbysea · 05/08/2020 16:19

Thanks everyone. I went in expecting the worst.

My bladder was so full that I had to empty it a bit twice. And still it was so full. It was amazing at 2cm they can see so much. The next 4 weeks, the baby will grow and change so much. Exciting times everyone x
