@Sussexbysea how are you feeling this afternoon? I think this pregnancy lark can feel incredibly lonely, I've not told anyone and I definitely feel that way some days. I'm planning on doing a babies and bump course or NCT and I definitely don't think that people would think it was strange with a 3yo as things change so much with recommendations and stuff and will be a nice refresher and way to meet mums at the same stage as you in your local area x

@DSP21 just try and remember that dating from LMP is just an estimate and doesn't take cycle length or implantation date into account you could be, sending you lots of positive vibes that you and your little bean are just fine. For peace of mind I'd probably book another scan for next week if EPU won't scan you ❤️

Clara9 · 04/08/2020 12:38

I’m in the exact same boat, @Oldermum80. Want school to know when I’ve had an early scan, but won’t want any colleagues to know until the middle of September all being well. Worried about carrying around lots of things- we are moving classrooms a lot and there is no way I can carry a set of textbooks!

BabySweet85 · 04/08/2020 13:35

@Clara9 are you a secondary teacher then? I secondary and we are moving classrooms every lesson.

Kw35 · 04/08/2020 13:41

Went for a scan and there was no baby. Very sad, as I was about 9-10 weeks. They think it was a missed miscarriage...

Best of luck to the rest of you 💓

Sussexbysea · 04/08/2020 13:56

Have any mums had scans today? I hope they all went well if you did?

I feel so much better today, and thank you to everyone for the messages xx

@Kw35 I’m so sorry to hear that.

Did you have any symptoms leading up to your scan?xx

Clara9 · 04/08/2020 14:06

Yes I am, @BabySweet85. We are doing the same thing- year groups in different parts of the school and teachers moving around. Worried about having to have everything with my/carrying lots all around the school. We have lots of stairs and I’m already knackered just existing at home, so not feeling great about it!

aureliacecilia · 04/08/2020 14:11

So sorry for your loss @Kw35

Oldermum80 · 04/08/2020 14:18

@Kw35 I’m so sorry. I had this at 7 weeks in my last pregnancy. It’s so difficult to comprehend.

DSP21 · 04/08/2020 14:20

@Kw35 I'm so sorry for your loss. How has the bleeding been these past few days?

2020wish · 04/08/2020 14:26

@Kw35 I’m so sorry... was that ur first scan? Did I have any inking something was wrong x

SmileyT · 04/08/2020 14:28

@Kw35 I'm so sorry for your loss ❤️

@Clara9 Hopefully you get a load of energy heading into your 2nd trimester when the schools return, I think working in first trimester should be illegal 😂

BabySweet85 · 04/08/2020 14:36

@kw35 Oh no - i am so sorry. Lots of love to you.

@Clara9 yep sounds exactly the same as my school. Are you on a full timetable with full classes? That’s what I am most concerned about.

Kw35 · 04/08/2020 14:41

Thank you everyone. I had spotting that wasn’t heavy for 8-9 days with some mild cramping. My sickness disappeared about 2 weeks ago, but I thought that maybe I was just one of the lucky ones!
I guess I had a feeling something was wrong but i was hopeful as I know that spotting isn’t always a sign of miscarriage.
Onwards and upwards...

Clara9 · 04/08/2020 14:41

@BabySweet85 I’m on a middle leaders timetable, so a couple less lessons a week, but pretty much a full timetable. At least with the social distancing we have an excuse to sit down whilst teaching a little more than usual. I’m usually always up and about in lessons, but don’t feel like I will manage it at the minute. I’m also studying part time and just sitting and writing is knackering me out at the moment!

BabySweet85 · 04/08/2020 14:49

@Clara9 at least you have a couple of more frees. I have found that I have more
Contact tome than usual because of staggered arrival and leaving times. But yeh sitting down is a must. Let’s keep in touch about it re risk assessments etc x

Sparkles715 · 04/08/2020 14:52

@Kw35 I’m so sorry.

Clara9 · 04/08/2020 15:27

Really sorry to hear this @Kw35. Sending my best wishes for you in the future.
@BabySweet85 Absolutely. Would be useful to see what other schools are doing. We have staggered start times too. Might sound mad, but I wonder if they will let me come in to just teach my Year 11. They are amazing and don’t want more disruptions to their exams.

TheFoz · 04/08/2020 15:40

@Kw35 I’m so sorry for what you are going through. It’s a rubbish place to be. Hopefully next time will be successful. Flowers

bobloblawlawblog · 04/08/2020 15:41

Feel a bit guilty posting this with Ksw sad news, I really hope you are ok.

Had scan today, I've been mega ill for the last few weeks so has reassured me. Baby measuring perfectly right for the dates (I was one day out) so am 7 days 2 weeks and due March 21st. Saw heartbeat and have a little video of it as well as pictures.

@Kw35 I'm so gutted for you, that's really rubbish and just shit.

bobloblawlawblog · 04/08/2020 15:45

Also was lucky and they did it as a normal scan not internally

Taylortyler · 04/08/2020 15:46

@bobloblawlawblog amazing news so happy for you! I think we're all praying for the same news as you so don't feel guilty x

Rainbow1808 · 04/08/2020 15:48

@Kw35 so sorryFlowers

bobloblawlawblog · 04/08/2020 15:54

I think because of all the sad news I've seen on here I've felt more worried just in case so thought might be reassuring for others who are worrying too.

Was surprised how clear and how much it looks like a something not just a dot! Was braced for having to have internal scan as well (got nervous and did my bikini line just in case) so was really good it was clear enough on a normal one. I necked a huge bottle of water half an hour before which helped I think.
