@Sussexbysea not heavily but did start out red then turned brown. It's more like light spotting now so I'm hoping bub is just getting comfy. Had a full on day planned but just cancelled everything and waiting anxiously by the phone.

Hope you're doing well x

c24680 · 01/08/2020 10:02

I'm 8weeks, 9 on Monday and my symptoms have seemed to have disappeared so I'm a bit worried that something is going to go wrong, my midwife is calling me in the week to go through my booking appointment so going to discuss it with her.

Up until 7 weeks, I had cramping, nausea, sore boobs and fatigue now I just seem to be tired still in the evenings and my boobs are kind of sore, hoping all is okay!!!

GreysLove · 01/08/2020 10:25

@krj2608 my birthday and bump buddy! Can't believe that! Hope you're ok, I'm shocked they didn't offer you a scan just to be sure, this 12ww is already full of anxiety without that extra worry!

Take it easy lovely, lots of rest and keeping calm xx

Babafarmer · 01/08/2020 10:37

@Taylortyler I agree with the anxiety I never expected the worry to be like this. Dr google doesn't help either but I'm find I can't help myself. I hope it's a little easier after 12 weeks.

I like the idea of early scans for reassurance and I have one booked at 9+6 but they change a ridiculous amount and I feel they are playing on women's anxieties to make a profit.

@c24680 I'm 7+6 at the moment and my boobs are only I tiny bit sore when I poke they were awful, I have a few wafts of nausea nothing to complain about and I feel a bit tired but I was like that before the BFP. I constantly worry about that and am just hoping that everything is ok.

Does any anyone know if the Midwife routinely gives you your hcg results. I have my booking appointment over the phone on Wednesday then have to go afterwards to get bloods taken but I would liked to know what my hcg is so I can see if it's normal.

DSP21 · 01/08/2020 10:46

So a little update from me

Due to covid the hospital are restricting the number of pregnant women coming in so I was told that unless it's painful or heavy to sit tight and wait it out. Luckily we have an early scan booked privately for Monday or I don't think I could wait for the 12 week scan to get potentially bad news.

Still anxious till Monday now, bleeding still continuing

c24680 · 01/08/2020 10:49

Up until last week I was saying to hubby that I don't remember being this poorly with my DD then it stopped, I do remmeber being sick in the earlier weeks a lot and going off certain foods, needless to say I can't wait for my scan!

With my last pregnancy they went through the blood test results with you which included the hcg levels so I'm sure they will!

Our midwives have moved to the local sport centre but now there due to reopen in two weeks I wonder if they'll move back to the community hospital.

For those with few symptoms - I just had my early scan (booked because I've been feeling good and it had me worried), and everything is good Smile Strong heartbeat, and measuring as 7+4 which is a couple of days behind where I thought I was, but still fits with dates. My mind has been put at rest....for today.

That's brilliant. Xx
TheFoz · 01/08/2020 12:54

@DSP21 are you bleeding much? Are you able to lie low for the weekend?

KO2018 · 01/08/2020 13:09

Hi and best wishes to everyone :) Hope I’m okay to join in. I’m going to be seven weeks along tomorrow. It’s my first pregnancy! I’m 32.

I want to start getting my head around it but I know it could all go wrong. It sucks having to be so cautious. But so far, no spotting. First signs were just tiredness and sore boobs, but all this week I’ve been SO NAUSEOUS all day urgh it’s horrible! I’m living from crumpet to crumpet.

I wish I could speak to a midwife, but all I have is a telephone appointment on the 14th August, so I don’t even know when my scan will be or even just my bloods and stuff. I’ve told a couple of close friends and my sister so far.

My Dad is coming up on the 8th so I’m planning to tell both my parents then. I’ll be 8 weeks along by then! But still before my first appointment even...

My cousin/BFF had a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks so that makes me worried. I didn’t even realise that could happen. It’s one thing knowing you’ve miscarried, another not to find out until 12 weeks in?? :(

DSP21 · 01/08/2020 13:13

@TheFoz It's not heavy, but it keeps coming in bits. Brown with little tiny blobs in it (sorry tmi) I'm taking it easy today, have a family thing tomorrow that will hopefully not require me to do much!

KatyCherry23 · 01/08/2020 13:19

@Taylortyler no not at all! My first was so long ago I kinda have forgotten a lot of it!

@DSP21 I hope your bleeding stops. It's horrible isn't it. I had dark red that turned to brown and now just the odd bit of brown and they said I had to just wait it out. Fingers crossed like you said it's just the beans getting comfy. My sister had bleeding too in the 1st trimester but they wouldn't see her either even though she was hysterical but I just keep thinking of the beautiful 2 month old baby she has now!

DSP21 · 01/08/2020 13:21

@KatyCherry23 that's reassuring! I'm just trying to think positively, but also want to be prepared in a worst case scenario. Keeping my fingers crossed for you too!

EmzG20 · 01/08/2020 14:18

I've 6+4 and I've woken up today feeling almost hungover and generally unwell has anyone else felt like this. I
Just can't get myself out of bed today. Don't remember feeling like this last time but that was 4 years ago.

Phie04 · 01/08/2020 14:33

@EmzG20 yes! Felt like that for the past 2 weeks. Go to GP and check iron levels as mine were low. Are you taking pregnacare?

EmzG20 · 01/08/2020 14:43

@Phie04 I'm taking vitamin D and Prescription folic acid as I take medication each day as well. This is the first day I've felt like this up until today I've had slightly sore boobs and tiredness.

Taylortyler · 01/08/2020 14:45

@KO2018 I'm at the same point as you! 7 weeks tomorrow and I'm 32 Smile
There is a lot of waiting around it seems and just hoping for the best.. I'll be glad when I can tell everyone, just went clothes shopping because I feel fat in everything I own and I just wanted to pick baby clothes and look at pushchairs. Note to self: stop getting carried away!

ejs11 · 01/08/2020 14:50

Hi all! I'm currently 7w6d. Had a scan at 7w1d and saw a heartbeat(!!) at EPU, due to some spotting i'd had which has now stopped. Still can't get fully excited as i'm SO fearful of something going wrong. We have told both sets of parents about the pregnancy but holding off on telling anyone else yet. How have you gone about this? Are you still keeping everything under wraps or have you caved and let the news out?!

KO2018 · 01/08/2020 14:52

@Taylortyler how funny we are the same day! I’m already feeling a lot rounder myself... perhaps it’s all these crumpets Grin

Phie04 · 01/08/2020 14:57

@EmzG20 I was taking the same until 2 days ago and surprisingly I feel ok today just a bit queasy. I would consider talking to GP or taking a pregnancy vitamin x

Taylortyler · 01/08/2020 15:08

@KO2018 love a crumpet and I feel that you should go with what your body tells you, you need!

@ejs11 we told both sets of parents and my husband told his boss who is also a good friend - in case he needs to leave work for some reason. I told my best friend and I'd like to shout it from the rooftops but trying to contain myself before we tell close family, plan is to wait for the early scan and then maybe tell a few more people

bumblingalonghappily · 01/08/2020 19:58

Haven't posted on here in a while- hope everyone's well!

I think I might be losing the plot- I'm 6+4 today with my second DC and I swear I already look at least three months pregnant. I know it's probably mostly bloating- but I don't feel gassy or anything and it's a solid bump- is anyone else finding this?! Going to meet up friends tomorrow and honestly they'll guess immediately- am going to have to wear a sack.

EmzG20 · 01/08/2020 20:32

@bumblingalonghappily I'm also 6+4 with my second pregnancy and look about 4 months pregnant. People say the same about bloating to me but I don't feel gassy either.

Taylortyler · 01/08/2020 20:54

My sister in law looked pregnant super early with her second, I think it's pretty common to be bigger second time round as your uterus already stretched once... maybe you're carrying twins?!

MrsS1984 · 01/08/2020 21:27

Hi all, also haven't posted for a while, nice to read how everyone is getting along. I'm 6+4 today and the nausea hit yesterday. Exactly the same as with my first that the evenings are worse. Went to bed at 8:30 last night. Super bloated and generally off meat but am loving the plain carbs! Going to the EPU for an early scan on Monday so fingers crossed the symptoms mean good news.
