Hi!
I very recently got my positive result after a FET. (This is my second child. First one conceived through a fresh cycle). Just wondered anyone in a similar position wanted to join, and help keep us calm until scan day!

I am only 4+2 weeks. Still so, so early. Can’t wait for my 7 week scan!

@Janefx40 how are you feeling now? I don’t feel much tbh. I’m so tired, but been up since 5am!
I think hormones are making me have quite low mood though. I get like this before a period. Very hard on myself. Eg- house is a mess, I’m a mess, I’m not doing enough with DD blah blah... 🙄🙄 I’ll take DD out in the garden later to cheer me up lol

I also remember being nervous before last scan with DD and crying at work, thinking I wasn’t pregnant. Then at 7 weeks, felt soooo sick.

Hope you’re feeling calmer now. X

I'm ok thanks. Since I had the spotting I'm just paranoid that it'll come back. Every time I go to the loo I'm worrying. Time will tell!

I have another blood test tomorrow so will see if things are going on as they should.

I'm sure the hormones can affect your mood. As you say they are all the same hormones we get pre menstrually

Hope you are all ok!

X

@Janefx40 good luck tomorrow xx

Welcome @basaltx @Janefx40!

@ivfdreaming
Not sure about scans. Check the latest guidance just before you go would be my advice as it seems to keep on changing!

I’ve had a little bit bleeding today. Obviously I only noticed this after clinic hours had closed! I’ve not had any cramps but I did feel quite dizzy earlier. Sad
It is only light bleeding but I’m very worried. I’ve not had any bleeding at any other point. Going to see what happens overnight and phone clinic on the morning. Hopefully it’s a random thing and nothing to worry about. Blush

BeHereNowx32 · 21/07/2020 18:47

@LemonRabbit hopefully it’s the progesterone causing it. I know it can cause irritation. Phone the emergency number, if worried x

@LemonRabbit I had a bit of spotting after my BFP and the clinic said they weren't worried unless it was heavy red blood. The progesterone can cause this and also blood thinners if you are taking them. Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing to worry about. One of my friends bled properly heavily throughout her pregnancy and had a healthy baby. Let us know what they say

Xxx

@LemonRabbit hope everything is ok xx

Hi all, is it ok if I join? I'm 7 weeks exactly following a FET in June. I have toddler DD from IVF but have also had several losses, including late first trimester losses.

My scan is on Friday and I'm an absolute bag of nerves. I've had some spotting on and off but it's mostly been brown so my local EPU won't see me. I've had quite a few symptoms including fatigue, nausea (although no sickness), food aversions and massive bloating (I'm enormous!) but I still feel so negative.

Nice to see a few familiar names from the cycle buddies thread @MorgenMuffel and @ivfdreaming

I've been commuting into London (not every day) since the start of the month but apart from masks on public transport and constant hand washing I'm not really doing anything else, it's hard to socially distance with colleagues especially when I'm trying to keep the pregnancy a secret for now so can't tell anyone!

Anyway, I looked at joining a due date thread but felt incredibly anxious doing that so hoping we can offer each other some support over the next few weeks as I think unless you've gone through IVF it is quite hard to fully understand the toll it takes physically and mentally.

Janefx40 · 22/07/2020 18:57

Welcome @elleceedee it is such an anxious time. I wonder if people who haven't had fertility issues feel the same way. Maybe they do. The 7 week scan is a big milestone. Fingers crossed it all goes well for you xxx

BeHereNowx32 · 22/07/2020 19:15

@elleceedee it’s so nerve wracking. It must be even more so if you have experienced losses.
Sorry to hear about the bleeding. Your symptoms sound good though. I hope you can get through tomorrow. Nearly there!

Hi @elleceedee
Good luck for Friday! My scan is a week on Friday. I’m also nervous.

I was talking about exactly that (feeling more anxious maybe because it’s ivf) with DH the other day. I do feel a bit frustrated in a way - I’m normally quite easygoing, but I’m so anxious about everything and anything going wrong. I think it’s partly because if it doesn’t work, then apart from the disappointment/upset at the loss, I have a sense of dread about going back to medical appointments and although the clinics have been great, trying to get time out of work/more time in the stirrups isn’t exactly appealing!
@Janefx40 @BeHereNowx32
Thanks for your messages of support. I’ve been absolutely exhausted and a little bit more brown blood today (TMI sorry!). I phoned the clinic and they said as it’s not been very much blood it’s probably old implantation bleeding. They didn’t seem concerned so I think I need to calm down. Blush

MorgenMuffel · 22/07/2020 20:57

@elleceedee hello, lovely to see you over here. Hope all goes well on Fri - I've got a private scan on Fri for reassurance/ so DH can see, so fx it will be good news for both of us. Your symptoms sound promising though

@LemonRabbit its natural to be extra nervous I think when you have had so many stuggles to get here. I'm a bit sad though that I've not been able to be excited and enjoy the early stages. I'm hoping the anxiety will ease after the 12 week scan and results of the screening tests, but can imagine there is only more to worry about after that!

elleceedee · 23/07/2020 07:21

Thanks everyone for the welcome, so nice to not be alone through this.

@MorgenMuffel nice to have a scan buddy on Friday, wishing you lots of luck for yours - must be lovely to think DH can be there to support you too! If everything looks ok tomorrow for me, i think I'll do that same and book a private scan for a couple of weeks time so that DH can see as well.

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 19:29

Good luck @elleceedee and @MorgenMuffel with your scans tomorrow.

I was meant to have a follow up hcg test tomorrow morning but my daughter has a temperature so we've had to self-isolate pending results of our corona test. Fully expecting the tests to come back negative as she clearly has a cold. Hoping I will get them quick enough to still do my bloods but no idea if I will or not.

Then I keep thinking how awful it would be if I tested positive - I'm not sure what the implications would be for the clinic. Makes a change hoping that a test comes back negative!!!

Hope everyone else is ok xxx

LemonRabbit · 23/07/2020 19:58

Oh no @Janefx40! Hope DD feels better soon and test is -ve. There’s always some hurdle or other. I’m not sure how long test results take to come back but I think it is quite quick.

Janefx40 · 23/07/2020 20:24

Thanks @LemonRabbit she's a bit miserable but nothing too serious. The nursery manager said others have done their tests in the afternoon and had the results arrive overnight so there is a chance I can still get bloods done tomorrow. That is assuming we did a good enough sample - it's not easy poking a swab in a toddlers nose and keeping it in there for 15 seconds!

MorgenMuffel · 23/07/2020 22:29

@Janefx40 hope DD feels better soon and you get the results quickly.

@elleceedee how are you feeling about your scan? What time is it? I'm a nervous wreck, and swinging wildly between feeling positive and then convinced it'll be bad news. DH is completely fine! Scan isn't until 6.15pm so DH doesn't need to take time off work...I am going to struggle to concentrate all day!

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 00:11

May I join? I'm only 4+4 after transfer of two fresh day 5 blastocysts, but really feeling it! Nervous but trying to be hopeful!

elleceedee · 24/07/2020 08:20

@Janefx40 fingers crossed you get the results quickly and hoping that your DD is on the mend soon.

@ValidUser welcome and congratulations! Have you got a scan booked?

@MorgenMuffel my scan is at 11.30. I'm terrified. I barely slept last night and just keep inagining a blank screen. Not long to go now though, sorry you've got to wait all day!

ivfdreaming · 24/07/2020 08:26

@elleceedee @MorgenMuffel

Good luck today for everything crossed

I've still got another week to wait before my next scan!

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 08:28

@elleceedee I get a date later today. Best of luck with yours!

MorgenMuffel · 24/07/2020 08:57

Welcome and Congrats @ValidUser hope your scan date won't be too far away.

@elleceedee thinking of you, not long to wait now. Let us know how it goes x

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 09:05

@MorgenMuffel apparently it'll be the week after next. Still waiting on the call, though.

I had a few chemical pregnancies before, but I only have one malfunctioning tube after a missed childhood peritonitis, so they were possibly not even in utero. Got the beginnings of a dye stealer yesterday, and today is my official test date and it looked even better. This is the most pregnant I've ever been. Trying to hold on to that.

I'm looking longingly at maternity clothes, but will wait a while to buy!

Leegray80 · 24/07/2020 09:26

hi ladies , I'm currently in week 8 and taking the dreaded progesterone pessaries. Has anyone else had a sore downstairs region, like the whole lot is falling out and hurts to cough . Dr says all is normal so thinking maybe its the progesterone. Tia

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 09:28

@Leegray80 is it crinone? Crinone is particularly vicious for that.

I was on that for luteal phase support after TSI cycles. On cyclogest now and the carrier material is much kinder
