Hi!
I very recently got my positive result after a FET. (This is my second child. First one conceived through a fresh cycle). Just wondered anyone in a similar position wanted to join, and help keep us calm until scan day!

I am only 4+2 weeks. Still so, so early. Can’t wait for my 7 week scan!

@Lemongrass1

You're doing fantastically well! I sympathise with feeling fed up - at 33 weeks I was ready for it to be over but then I ended up only having another week anyway! (Looking back now I quite miss the bump!)

We are doing well! Twins are smiling now and little personalities coming through - they even both slept from 9pm to 3am last night and I feel like a new woman!

This last week managed to get out and about a bit more now things opening up - Walk in a national trust place, took DD out to a funfair and also the twins to a baby club - need a bit more practice with driving the pram inside shops though as before we'd been limited to Sainsbury and marks - the aisles in hobby craft and Next I've realised are bloody narrow 😬

thefishthatcouldwish · 18/04/2021 12:48

@Lemongrass1 you are a week behind me I feel big so having two in there to carry around must be hard going.

Growth scan was fine but it’s all a bit of a thing though coz his one measurement wasn’t fitting the curve so they remeasured until it did.

One thing I noticed on the scan was some of the big kicks I could see on screen I wasn’t feeling. (The ones by the placenta)

I am finding that the following is happening though that baby will have a very active day the one day then the next less so or that he has moved to where I can’t feel then the next day he his busy again. I dunno whether to worry or not really.

@ivfbeenbusy glad you have managed to get out a bit it does make life better doesn’t it .

Parkandride · 20/04/2021 13:07

Might have one for you this week @ivfbeenbusy! change of plan and induction scheduled for Thursday thanks to high blood pressure. Bit of a shame when I've felt so great all pregnancy but I've come to terms with it. First sweep went well so hoping might still go on my own but we will see!

How are the twins? Must be nice for everyone now the weather's getting better, even if it's just for drying all that laundry!

Parkandride · 20/04/2021 13:13

Whoops missed a page of replies, ahh @Lemongrass1 commiserations on the GD, hope this last month sails by.

My movements have always been varied too @thefishthatcouldwish I've found when I've been on the CTG I've noticed them more as you hear the kicks which prompts you to pay attention. Anterior placenta has always made it harder though. But yes varied days seem to be the norm for me, does make it tricky to know what could be a concern

ivfbeenbusy · 20/04/2021 15:50

@Parkandride

Ooh sooo exciting baby is on its way! Are you going for an epidural or hoping to do it without drugs??

Parkandride · 20/04/2021 18:20

Hoping without, I've had some health issues in the past that came with horrific headaches so the idea of getting a slipped needle and that as a side effect scares me more than pain! But nothing is off the table, especially for an induction where I'm unlikely to be able to use the pool etc. We will see!

thefishthatcouldwish · 23/04/2021 19:24

Hoping you are ok @Parkandride.

I have swollen hands and feet/ankles at moment.

My wedding ring is stuck on my finger and is digging in I can’t get it off despite all the tricks. My one option is to get it cut off but o really don’t want to.

Parkandride · 24/04/2021 06:46

Ooh nasty @thefishthatcouldwish it's been much warmer this week so that can't be helping you, hope your ring can stay intact

Blood pressure came back down so I pushed back my induction to Sunday as it was before my due date. Had 3 sweeps now and all look good but nothing! Come on baby

thefishthatcouldwish · 24/04/2021 08:47

Come on @Parkandride baby! Wishing you a safe delivery of you little girl. 😄

Putting cot up today which will mean DH and I working together which may be a disaster! He and I tend to fret with things like this!

Parkandride · 28/04/2021 07:33

Baby girl arrived via very positive section on Monday, she's just wonderful - bit of night time sleep would be nice but you can't have everything Smile can't believe we finally have a baby!

Hope the cot and marriage are intact @thefishthatcouldwish Grin

thefishthatcouldwish · 28/04/2021 08:56

@parkandride yay congratulations 🎉 glad all is well. Hope you recover quickly from your section. Are you home yet?

Yes marriage is intact DH was on best behaviour 😂.

Why do men (or at least DH) give vague instructions? Like for example hold that there ... you hold said thing the way you think they want it held.. then they fret you haven’t held it correctly?!

Lemongrass1 · 02/05/2021 11:55

@Parkandride congratulations on your little girl! Hope you’ve recovered well from the c-section and are home now.

@ivfbeenbusy @RosettaR @thefishthatcouldwish I hope you are all doing well!

I’m 35+1 and really quite ready to give birth now 😂 It has become so uncomfortable last few days that I can’t really leave the house much! Just 2 weeks to go to section date but I’m not sure if they will hang on for that long..

ivfgottwins · 02/05/2021 13:13

@Parkandride

Huge congratulations 🥳🥳🥳💝

@Lemongrass1

I feel for you! 35+1 I was ready for them to come out too and begged for the c section to come forward 🤣

Yours sound like they are a great weight too so at least you should avoid NICU and can bring them straight home 🥰

We are doing good - they are asleep at the mo 🥳 so trying to catch up on the mountain of washing and ironing 😬

willithappen · 02/05/2021 18:54

Time for me to join you ladies here. Seeing a lot of familiar names which is good!
Got my BFP at 6dp5dt, otd isn't until 5th May but all going well still 🤞🏻 currently 4+3 I think.

I'm terrified of something going wrong tbh! 😭

ivfgottwins · 02/05/2021 19:19

@willithappen

Congratulations!!! Welcome to the club x

thefishthatcouldwish · 02/05/2021 20:08

@Lemongrass1 yay not long to go now.

Am 36+1 today. Am finding moving more hard work especially walking the dog in the morning.

I feel on times grumpy with DH- like on his day off he had a head ache which I know isn’t his fault but that day it was me who still had to walk the dog despite the fact baby wash pushing down in bladder. Normally that sort of thing wouldn’t bother me but that day it did!

@willithappen hope all is ok with you congratulations! When is your early scan? It is normal to feel like that!

willithappen · 02/05/2021 20:35

@thefishthatcouldwish I'm still not past otd day yet 😅 so another 2.5 weeks before I get a scan at the clinic
I was bad and tested early at 6dp5dt and got my BFP then. I'm 12dp5dt now :)

andivfmakes3 · 11/05/2021 10:58

@thefishthatcouldwish
@Lemongrass1

How are you both getting on? X

Lemongrass1 · 11/05/2021 18:25

@andivfmakes3 doing ok. Am 36+3 and babies were coming close to 6lb each on scan today! Having an elective section beginning of next week when they are term. Feel so stretched that I might split in half 😵 How are you getting on?

@thefishthatcouldwish hope all
Going well, you must be coming closer to due date soon. X

@willithappen congratulations! I hope your viability scan goes well in the next week or so

@Parkandride I hope all is going well with the newest addition. X

thefishthatcouldwish · 11/05/2021 20:13

I’m doing ok. Fed up of being huge and lack of sleep due to nightmares again!

Wow exciting @Lemongrass1 fingers crossed for you. Won’t be long now.

andivfmakes3 · 12/05/2021 09:07

@Lemongrass1

Wow 6lb! You are doing so well! Only a few more days left 🥳

@thefishthatcouldwish

When is your due date now?

All good over here - only a few more weeks of maternity leave left (I'm the main earner and my company leave is rubbish) so twins start settling in sessions with a childminder soon 😢 just a bit cross the weather this year has been awful compared to last year and haven't been able to get out much

thefishthatcouldwish · 12/05/2021 09:27

I am due two weeks Saturday but want baby out now.

Omg @andivfmakes3 hope they settle of for child minder when the time comes.

DH and I have talked about me going back to work. I will have to go back but feel like I want to reduce my hours a bit even by one day would mean I would have 4 days of work and three days at home. I work term time so would get every holiday off too.

RosettaR · 13/05/2021 00:22

Wow so much has happened here!

@ivfbeenbusy the first smiles are the best thing ever!

@Lemongrass1 those weights are amazing for twins, and you've done so well to get to full term! My online life tells me that's quite rare and it's also rare for this thread Wink All the best for your cesaerean!

@thefishthatcouldwish wow you are so nearly there!

Congrats to the new bfps!

My twins are smiling and growing, they are 12 weeks old now and double their birth weights. I'm finally giving up pumping and breast feeding this week which is sad but also means more sleep!

Lemongrass1 · 14/05/2021 03:03

@RosettaR great to hear from you and glad the babies are doing well and thriving 🥰

@andivfmakes3 can’t believe you have to go back to work already! Hope all goes well with childminder

@thefishthatcouldwish hang in there! I totally get that fed up feeling

AFM the twinnies had their own thoughts on when they would make their debuts... waters broke at 36+5 and they were born yesterday by c-section weighing exactly 2.72kg each! So far they are doing well, they needed a little heater but otherwise feeding fine and seem healthy 😍

andivfmakes3 · 14/05/2021 08:40

@Lemongrass1

Huge congratulations! Naughty twinnies! Did you have a boy and girl like me I can't remember!?

How are you feeling? Was this your first c section? I've had 2 now and best advice I can give is get back on your feet and move around as soon as you can - I didn't need morphine with my twins c section and I'm sure that's because I had to be ok my feet going up and down the hospital to NICU and back
