Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

I feel really sick but also hungry, don’t know if that makes sense😂 I feel hungry but at the same time I feel like throwing up at the smell of food🤢 Has anyone got any recommendations of things to eat

Nmvasey · 08/07/2020 14:57

@Maple1990 that's great news! You must be relieved. Did they mention what could be causing the pain and/or anything about IBS?

Nmvasey · 08/07/2020 14:59

I want some more symptoms not that I'll be saying that if and when they arrive. This is such a strange nerve racking time the whole not knowing what's happening in there.

Congrats on the new BFPs : )

Phie04 · 08/07/2020 15:22

@Rainbow1808 I find sucking on a hard sweet helps pass the sickness

Hello, hoping I can join in Smile
We got our BFP yesterday, came as a big surprise as was our first month trying. Due date looks like 18th March. Called my doctor today and she's scheduled for the midwife to call me at the end of the month.
I'm so excited and happy, just really hope DH can come along to the scans

Annu786 · 08/07/2020 16:08

Hi everyone
I am due 9th March
I am around 5 weeks pregnant no symptoms yet
This will be my second child first born was over 17years ago
I suffered from a eptopic very early in life so chose not have children till now luckily for me I fell pregnant month 3 of trying
Last Friday I was sent in for an ultrasound and internal examination to rule out eptopic and thankfully sac was in uterus but no yolk sac was visible they said it was too early I have been asked to come in for another scan on 20july
Now the worrying bit since Monday I have been getting brown discharge occasionally when I wipe and it has totally got me worried spoke to the doctor and they said there is nothing they can do as I have had the scan to rule out eptopic it is just a waiting game till 20th July when my next scan is due
The swabs that they took last Friday came back with vaginal thrush (I have had no symptoms for this) I have been Prescribed some medication by the gp which I will start using today
Any ladies experienced anything similar Brown discharge / thrush at all I keep thinking brown discharge is the start of a miscarriage and it’s scaring me 😢

ALew15 · 08/07/2020 16:14

Hey @Purley my due date is coming up as the same! Congratulations! We got our BFP 3 days ago. I need to ring the doctors this week to get the ball rolling x

Christie08 · 08/07/2020 16:25

@Annu786 I also am having brown discharge, it was pink on Sunday and then turned brown but now today it is starting to turn slightly more red. So I'm worried sick, I speak to my doctor tomorrow so I'm really hoping she will refer me to Epu.

Annu786 · 08/07/2020 16:31

Really hope everything goes well for you
My colour hasn’t changed it’s only brown and I get in maybe twice a day when I wipe only

Boredinthehouse12 · 08/07/2020 16:54

I had a call with the GP today as I was up at 2am puking my guts up. I’m only 4+3 so didn’t expect morning sickness to start so early. She advised that a lot of women tend to start morning sickness at 4 weeks and it’s nothing to worry about.

My boobs are sensitive and the bloating/burping continues. I recall saying a few posts back that I didn’t have any symptoms and I wanted them.. hmm 🤭

Boredinthehouse12 · 08/07/2020 16:56

@Maple1990 that’s great news! I’m sure that’s a massive weight off your mind!

ALew15 · 08/07/2020 17:40

@Boredinthehouse12 aw bless you. Something to look forward to hey! Hope it passes quickly for you.
Do you have anything booked in with GP/midwife yet?

Boredinthehouse12 · 08/07/2020 17:51

I done a self referral via the hospitals website. Once I completed the application it said that I should receive confirmation of my 1st midwife appointment within 14 days.

As a few people have said, the call with my GP wasn’t that helpful, she just gave me a bit of info, advised what foods to avoid and what to do if I start bleeding. I guess that’s all she could have done over the phone really.

Oresome · 08/07/2020 17:53

Hello everyone.

I can hardly believe it but it seems that I am pregnant - EDD 4 March! I’m still a bit confused as I am sure that I had a period two weeks ago. The first day was light and dark brown (which was different and made me a little hopeful) but then had two days of fresh blood. But my boobs have continued to feel sore, like there are before my period, and are certainly a bit bigger so I decided to tempt fate and test. 3 tests later, all different brands, and they are all positive.

I am just so confused! I also had a pelvic ultrasound last week as part of the pre-IVF tests and thought that surely they would have said something then but apparently it would have been too early, plus they were not looking for a pregnancy.

The ironic thing is that I was due to have an HSG test tomorrow morning as the first stage to determining whether my husband and I were suitable to go down the IVF route.

Can you ladies think of any other reason for a positive pregnancy test (that says I am the number of weeks that I would be if I did conceive when I ovulated) sore boobs, bloating, tiredness other than being pregnant?!

SazCat · 08/07/2020 18:23

Hi everyone, I'd like to join in. I got my BFP on Tuesday with a first response, confirmed today with a clearblue digital.

Second baby, DD is 3. Been trying for almost a year so very excited and a bit in disbelief!! Rang doctors earlier and they've booked me in for a telephone booking in appt for 4 weeks time when I'll be 8 weeks.

Congrats to everyone Smile

Symphony87 · 08/07/2020 20:44

Hi ladies can I join too?

Found out on Sunday and been in shock since. I thought I was coming down with the flu or something. Got an app saying due date is 17th March 😁

Wireless77 · 08/07/2020 22:00

Hello everyone, would like to join too. I might be the oldest mum to be here, I'm 43! This is my 5th pregnancy, but no living children yet (3 chemical pregnancies and a mmc at 8 weeks). Currently 5+5 with nearly no symptoms. Been monitoring my hcg levels via blood tests and have an early scan booked next week. Baby steps.

Dipsy77 · 09/07/2020 06:11

Hi I'd like to tentatively join please.
I'm 43 I have a 23 and 21 year old with my ex husband which at the minute is very complicated.
I also have 9 month old dd with new partner.
After having dd we realised especially with us been older we wanted her to have a brother or sister. I fell pregnant in December last year but unfortunately had a MMC at 9.5 weeks in February. My cycles returned to normal in April and I got my BFP this week making me 4+2 weeks. I'm very nervous about this pregnancy in case anything happens again so trying to stay positive due date is March 16th xx

Headingtowardsforty · 09/07/2020 06:22

Hi all, can I join too please. I got a bfp this morning after not starting AF on Monday and just feeling different. This is my 2nd, my ds is 10 and we had given up hope of having another. I think I'm due mid March, but cycle is longer than average, so it's hard to know. And despite my username, I am now 42. Both dh and I are in shock at the moment.

Chinup90 · 09/07/2020 06:29

Hi all

I found out that I was pregnant (first one) on 3 July and due 16 March (I think) I have had pretty bad insomnia for the last week, does anyone else suffer from this?

artyone · 09/07/2020 07:09

Nervously joining you all if that's OK. I thi k I've had a bfp but it's a real squinter. Not sure when I would be due probably around the middle of March..

artyone · 09/07/2020 07:11

My only 'symptom' is that I've been very emotional and tearful and I'm not generally a tearful person.

Annu786 · 09/07/2020 08:35

I am the same NO SYMPTOMS other than crying
What date are you due / how many weeks gone are you

Annu786 · 09/07/2020 08:38

I find thinking too much is the main reason we can’t get to sleep try and clear your mind (I know this is hard especially when we are over thinking about the baby ) have a hot drink maybe a long soak in bath before jumping in to bed
Also if your napping in the day that can sometimes make it impossible to fall asleep at night, try and cut out any naps
Good luck
