Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

Hi all - i have just found out I am pregnant with my first, which makes me only around 4 weeks. I feel nervous in the sense that I have to go to work as normal so worried about the virus. Is anybody here concerned at all?

Luckystar8 · 09/07/2020 09:26

Hi all. I'm so pleased I can also join you! I got my bfp on Sat 4th July, I did test on 29 Jun and got bfn so thought I'm out. We've been trying for nearly 2 years for our 1st baby. I have PCOS but am also underweight. I've done 2 Clomid cycles followed by 6 Letrozole cycles. The 6th cycle was the last one the NHS would allow me to have and I ended up having 4 large follicles so they advised me not to try as I may end up with multiples. But we've already been trying and being the last cycle I couldnt let it 'go to waste'. This was the cycle I fell pregnant and I still can't believe it! I'm very anxious not only because I may end up with multiples but also due to my low BMI and PCOS. I've been given an early scan scheduled for tomorrow and am extremely nervous. Not sure if they'll see much yet, my last period was 1 June but I do know I ovulated after 15 Jun as that's when I had a scan to check the follicles. I felt nauceous last week (before I for bfp) but not much this week. I've got sore boobs, had heartburn nearly every day so am taking gaviscon, and don't feel very hungry. The worst thing is that I also cannot sleep at all. I wake up around 3am and then it's really hard to go back to sleep. Not sure if its stress related. Good luck to everyone! X

SmileyT · 09/07/2020 09:45

@Sussexbysea ooh saw your name on here so thought I'd reply on here but yes I got my BFP yesterday so obviously still very nervous but also happy. How are you feeling? xx

Phie04 · 09/07/2020 10:05

@BabySweet85 I'm not worried about the virus at the moment because I'm still furloughed, but It's possible I'm being made redundant so I'm just worried about money and where we will live as were still living with parents

Hello, joining the club at 5 weeks pregnant. First one for me and my husband so very excited and a little nervous. Kills me not being able to tell anyone yet. I was booked in for endometriosis scans but then found out I'm expecting. I'm slightly nauseous all the time, sleeping very poorly despite being dead tired and I've got terrible heartburn but that's pretty much it so far. I've been in the UK for years and years but not sure how all the antenatal appointments and care works. I've filled in an online form for the local NHS Trust (Herts.) and got a text last week saying my appointment has been changed to a phone appointment, but not sure if it's for the endo or pregnancy, we'll see :D

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 10:43

@SmileyT oh this is amazing news. We’ll be baby buddies 😘

Luckystar8 · 09/07/2020 10:50

@BabySweet85 Do you have to take public transport to work and are you exposed to many people in your pine of work? Presumably you can't work from home if you're going in already but as far as I know employers must ensure it's safe for employees to return and should encourage wfh where possible. Maybe you can talk to your HR department or midwife/ GP and ask for advice. Its tricky as not much is know yet about the effects of Covid on pregnant women...

Purley · 09/07/2020 10:55

@ALew15 aww congratulations! I wonder will our date change when we get our scans Smile

The only symptoms I had before testing was urinating more frequently and tingly boobs. I woke up today however and feel like I have a hangover, heavy head and groggy. I hope this doesn't last!

Does anyone have an idea when you'll start telling people? I'm a bit anxious to say anything but also feel like I want our families to know

Sakura54 · 09/07/2020 10:57

Hi all! I’m due 1st March. Didn’t expect it to happen straightaway as I had a MMC recently so tentatively joining you all. I joined the other March thread, but they all left to join a FB group.

bubblybon20 · 09/07/2020 10:59

@Sakura54 I know that other thread seems so quiet!

Hi, hope it's okay to join. I am currently 5+4, 3rd child. Had a MC in April at 8+4, so feel really on edge this time round. X

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 11:21

Hi all, tentatively joining now that I've waited a couple of days and had another strong test - I found out on Tuesday that I'm pregnant and am currently 4+4 so very early days. Due date is March 14th.

Like a few of the other ladies on here (a fair few of whom I know from our MMC, TTC after MMC and pregnancy after MMC threads 👋🏼), I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year so am very nervous about this pregnancy. This was our first cycle back trying so feeling very grateful for that, just hoping this one holds on.

I'm 33 and this would be baby #1.

Lovely to meet some other people who will be going through the same things at the same time (and lots of the same due date!) Fingers crossed for all of us.

Lozzy5859 · 09/07/2020 11:26

Hi guys and congrats to you all. Im 36 and got my BFP yesterday #1 💗. It still doesn't feel real, Sooo happy. Although the symptoms have just started. I was at a PT sesh yesterday and was doing push ups when I could feel pains in my BBS, I also got super full and bloated after my dinner out. When home and did a test 9 dpo and faint line. Today I have had a few mild cramps and a few more sharp cramps in lower and area. Feeling on a high atm. CM has been minimal. My toast smelt of garlic this am. Took another test BFP a lot darker. Happy healthy pregnancy to us all.

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 12:46

@Lozzy5859 my sense of smell is crazy at the moment. All I can smell is BO. I could even smell it on my 3 year old.

Just went to Tesco’s and all I could smell was fish. It was like someone had put a raw piece of smoked cod under my nose 🤮

I’m glad we can all tell eachother because apart from our partners I bet no one else knows. I want to go to the front door and about really loudly!!!!!!

BabySweet85 · 09/07/2020 12:51

@Luckystar8 I don’t have to take public transport. I work in a school so will be teaching students as normal in September. They have said social distancing isn’t always possible and each class will have 30-32 students in. I guess this is the main reason I'm worried, just being in close proximity to near on 200 students a day.

Symphony87 · 09/07/2020 12:58

I’m the same with smells. My main symptom is constant nausea, can’t seem to get relief from it.

I’ve called my doctor and was told they would get back to me or refer me to the midwife so still waiting for that but it’s only been two days. I’m so impatient 😂

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 13:29

@Symphony87 I’m feeling sick too, gaviscon and food help.

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 13:32

Now everyone here is pregnant, will any of you take any more tests? I’ve got the urge to buy more tests, I guess I’m worried I’ll test and it’ll come up saying negative even though I had such a strong positive

Bb90 · 09/07/2020 13:37

@Sussexbysea i was thinking of buying another text for a weeks time, i took 2 tests and both of them were BFPs but apart from a few bouts of nausea and intensley sensitive nipples (sorry if tmi) i havent really felt anything other than anxiety. the thought of having to wait another 6 weeks to see if everything ok is stressing me out. so thought a test might ease my worry that i still am actually pregnant?

SmileyT · 09/07/2020 13:56

@Sussexbysea I am going to test again on Saturday when I'll be 4w1d then plan to test at 5weeks to make sure it's not a chemical then have an early scan at 6w and 8w I think 🤔 DP also ordered the CB week indicator tests 😂 don't think I'll be telling family and friends until about 20w this time x

Charlotte2020 · 09/07/2020 14:03

I'm waiting to hear back from EPU for an early scan (previous ectopic), but I'll probably buy another test for peace of mind to get me through to 12 weeks. I can't wait 7 weeks for confirmation, I'm really worried it'll just go away!
Has anyone else been incredibly thirsty? I've been drinking so much water!

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 14:08

It’s so worrying isn’t it. I just want this one to stay with me. Sometimes we can make the feelings up in our heads too so they are stronger then they actually are

SkyBlue20 · 09/07/2020 14:35

@Sussexbysea I’ve already tested twice (two days apart) and both lines were strong so I’m going to try and leave it there. Very tempted by the CB weeks ones though!

@Charlotte2020 Yes, I can’t stop drinking water (and therefore weeing, too!)

My symptoms haven’t been super strong which worries me as they were last time and that was a MMC so in my head I’m thinking weaker symptoms can’t be good! It’s still early though so I guess they might get worse. I do have nausea when hungry and sometimes noise makes me feel sick - do you ever get it when you’re hungover and the noise of the radio or something makes you feel nauseous? It’s like that. Got awful spots on my forehead and some stretching type pains, too. They all seem barely noticeable today though so obviously I’m overthinking 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 15:16

@SkyBlue20 I’ve got a cb weeks indicator test I’ll be using next Monday so I’ll be around 5.5 weeks by then. I’m just hoping there’s no bleeding and that I get another positive. I might pop to the shop later and grab some standard tests to rest my mind though

Nmvasey · 09/07/2020 15:33

Sorry this might a daft question... if you had a chemical would a bleed immediately follow?

Sussexbysea · 09/07/2020 15:46

@Nmvasey I’m sure everyone is different but I bled about a 2 week after getting my positive
