Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

Hi, can I join please. I got my BFP this morning and it feels completely surreal! I've had one failed IVF cycle, another cancelled mid way through due to COVID and I was then was due to start injecting for cycle 3 tomorrow. I took a test just to be on the safe side before starting and was in complete shock when I saw 2 lines. It still doesn't feel real at all. I've been having quite a lot of cramping which I know can happen but it was more painful than period type cramps so I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not. Date calculator days 14th March 🙏.

Congrats to you all x

It’s mad isn’t it , I’m just glad I’m still working from home least no one needs to know why I spend all morning working from my bathroom because I feel so sick although I haven’t actually been sick and I can have a lay down because I’m shattered!! I’m also feeling hot , not sure if it’s because I’m not really cold or hormones all over the place . I want to see my Dr face to face but he is just doing video calls so I dont know how to address that issue .

hellymum21 · 05/07/2020 21:20

Thanks @Phie04 @Rainbow1808
It's just gonna be a day at a time for now. Not gonna tell anyone just yet, hence I'm pleased to be able to chat here 😊I read that low dose aspirin once a day helps if you've had recurrent mc so I'm trying that....

Ricekrispiecake · 05/07/2020 21:22

Congrats @Charlotte2020 and @Nmvasey

Ricekrispiecake · 05/07/2020 21:26

@hellymum21 I’m the same I won’t tell anyone before 12 weeks , my OH wants to shout it from the rooftops he’s already telling me how he will look after me and do everything for the baby .... I should get it in writing because I give it another week before he calls me a drama queen n tells me the feeling sick can’t be that bad!!

AnaBananas · 05/07/2020 21:41
@Jadeypie thanks for the reply! I will ring dctrs tomorrow morning and pop to the pharmacy! Waiting another 9 weeks until I see baba is going to be hard! May have to book a private to makesure all is ok.

@AnaBananas I already take vit D but will start folic acid tomorrow. Only found out I was prgnt 2 days ago will that affect it? I also have has shooting pains but as im only around 4 weeks does that mean something may go wrong?
@Phie04 I think it’s recommended to start taking folic acid when TTC and if not, as soon as you find out. So best to start taking it. I’m not sure about the pains tbh, I’ve been panicking over cramps but I have heard it is common to have cramping in your first trimester. If there is bleeding as well then that may be a cause for concern. I’d recommend just bringing it up to your GP when you contact them. I’m going to contact my GP tomorrow, as I still haven’t and I got my bfp on Monday.

AnaBananas · 05/07/2020 21:44

@Ricekrispiecake I’m really tempted to get an early scan too, just for reassurance. I’m so impatient that I don’t think I can wait until September for the 12 week scan.

Charlotte2020 · 05/07/2020 21:46

I hope OHs can come into the scan by September. Probably wishful thinking but he's really excited, I'd have a private scan if only so he can see the baby

Ricekrispiecake · 05/07/2020 21:53

I do feel for those women that have gone to scabs alone and the blokes that have missed out , my friends due October her OH hasn’t been to any scans with her . She’s been told he can go to birth but may not be able to stay and see them to the ward... n that’s a few months away yet

Phie04 · 05/07/2020 22:38

Thanks girls I'll deffo get some tablets tomorrow. Im not sure I can wait until 12 weeks. It will be in my mind that something will go wrong before we get there and we won't know about it!

Just spoke to OH. Think we are going to book one for 8 weeks. We want to use the thermal prints to surprise our parents

Hi

Hope you don't mind me joining :) approx due date is 14th March which is also my birthday. First baby but second pregnancy- had a MMC in Jan at 10 weeks and had to have an MVA done.

Congrats to everyone :) xx

hellymum21 · 06/07/2020 07:15

@tobytoes1403 congrats that's same due date as me and it's two weeks before my birthday 😊I had a miscarriage in November (blighted ovum) then fell pregnant again January. This time had heart beat but measured smaller than dates which ultimately didn't end well. So pleased to be pregnant again but mixed emotions which I'm trying to contain. Not to mention the covid worries! Anxiety my middle name 😆

shell1002 · 06/07/2020 09:00

@XjustagirlX

Hi I’m pregnant with baby number 1. I’m 5+3 today. I had an ectopic in March so I’m having an early scan on Thursday. This week is dragging though, can’t wait until Thursday. We have been trying for over a year so really hopes it sticks.
I'm just on my way for my early reassurance scan, I had an ectopic last March, I'm around 5+4. Wishing you good luck for Thursday xx
Ricekrispiecake · 06/07/2020 09:39

Hi @shell1002 let us know how you get on I’ve just booked one for Saturday.

Anyone else feeling like they’re putting on loads of weight? Lately I feel bloated

Phie04 · 06/07/2020 09:50

Good luck @shell1002 let us know how it goes x

@Ricekrispiecake I don't feel like I've put weight on, but my stomach just feels very heavy. I guess I should get used to that lol

Hi all, I'm due March 14th, still can't believe I'm pg! Early scan booked in at our ivf clinic for 24/07 (6w5d). Congrats to everyone! Flowers

Frankie04 · 06/07/2020 10:12

Hi ladies! Just thought I'd jump in here too. Got my BFP on 4th July - due around 14th March. We were really worried we would have a long journey ahead of us as I have Endometriosis but we got pregnant in the first month! Yay!!
My biggest symptom so far has been super sore ribs...not what I expected! Has anyone else had this? Also a bit nauseous and headachey like some of you.
Congratulations everyone!! Xx

ALew15 · 06/07/2020 10:15

Hi everyone. Congratulations to all!
I got my BFP this morning at 12DPO. Had a MMC last year so very anxious as expected but over the moon and trying to see it as a new and different pregnancy.
Will definitely be wanting to book an early scan when the time comes.

I have a question about supplements. Been taking the Seven Seas trying for a baby for months, do I need to switch to a pregnancy one now or continue with these?

Thanks

Ricekrispiecake · 06/07/2020 10:19

Hi @kell2126band @Frankie04 as you may see if you read posts I spend a lot of my time on my bathroom floor with my laptop working!! Today though nauseous feeling has been slightly better . It may be because OH is off today and got up n made me a coffee( can’t touch tea right now making me sick) and toast before I got out of bed .

Not had sore ribs I feel heavy n tired sick n have heartburn... sound like a great ad for pregnancy eh!!

Ricekrispiecake · 06/07/2020 10:22

Hi @ALew15 congratulations, I don’t know anything about supplements . I’m going to get some pregnacare ones today because I haven’t taken any folic acid ( happy surprise pregnancy!)

Phie04 · 06/07/2020 11:03

@ALew15 HI, I also don't know anything about supplements but from some research and from previous posts you need to take 400ug of folic acid which I suggest starting asap. I'll be starting mine today.

XjustagirlX · 06/07/2020 12:10

@Ricekrispiecake I’m having an early scan due to a previous ectopic but if I wasn’t having that one I would definitely book a private scan.

If everything is ok on Thursday then I will still probably book an early scan so my DH can see it.

@shell1002 I hope your scan goes well. I was told they wouldn’t do my scan until 6 weeks.

I’ve had bad cramps today and I’m a bit concerned as it’s quite painful every now and again. I’m unsure whether to be reassured or worried.

jerseylau · 06/07/2020 12:24

Hi all! This is my first BFP and I'm due 2 March so we're very excited! Trying not to get too excited until the first trimester is over so it's lovely to share it with someone while we wait to tell everyone else! Great to hear how you are all doing as well - the fatigue kicked in majorly over this weekend for me!

Rainbow1808 · 06/07/2020 12:30

Hey everyone, woke up with cramps in the middle of the night and didn’t feel sick like I normally do this morning so spent half the morning crying! But I took another test (bottom picture) and compared it with last weeks tests and looks like things are progressing🤞🏼 I hate all this anxiety😒
