Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

@bumblingalonghappily my scan is on Monday morning, I'm able to take my OH though which is a relief....maybe check with your EPU!

I've been having cramps for a few days and now just had some discharge, so convinced I'm losing the baby 😢

Good sign with your CB year! Big hugs. X

RosettaR · 25/07/2020 08:18

@Naomi89 @2020wish I'm crampy too, this is my first time do don't know personally if it's normal. It's listed as a common early symptom here though, which has made me more confident: www.nhs.uk/start4life/pregnancy/week-by-week/1st-trimester/week-5/#anchor-tabs

Good luck to those of you having EPU scans on Monday. And with your scan today @MB1991.

In terms of scans I'm planning to have the one the fertility clinic offer, which is at 8 weeks (booked for 17 August), then the NHS ones. I keep telling myself 17 August isn't that long to wait. I started IVF drugs at the end of May so I should be an expert at waiting by now! I'm trying to remind myself how lucky I am to get to this point, you only have a 40% chance with IVF, so it's a miracle really and I always pictured I'd be serenely happy after my BFP, not terrified!

bumblingalonghappily · 25/07/2020 08:19

@Sh4mmy

Ah I'm sorry to hear you're worried about the discharge- does it have a colour to it? Lots of clear/white discharge is normal in pregnancy.

I'm really pleased you're able to take your DH, and that your scan is in the morning so you don't have to worry the whole day 😊 please let us know how it goes? How many weeks will you be on Monday?

My DH definitely can't come with me unfortunately as I have an 8 month old DC that needs looking after at home!

2020wish · 25/07/2020 08:29

@Sh4mmy does the discharge have red or brown in it? Discharge that’s clear, creamy or slight yellow is perfectly normal in pregnancy and a good sign. I’m having loads.. Tmi but I keep thinking I’ve bleed and having to check constantly. Discharge with brown in it can be normal also in early pregnancy

NatARG · 25/07/2020 08:56

Congratulations everyone and an extra special congratulations to those mums to be who've had such a challenging time TTC. We're due towards the end of March after 21/2 years of trying. Still can't quite believe it. IVF was postponed in March so wasn't expecting a BFP. Very happy but keep checking to see if my boobs are tender as proof the baby is still there! I've been tired, very bloated and have tender boobs. Some slight cramps in groin which worried me but after a cursory Google I think it's to do with everything relaxing. Overall feeling calm and trying not to worry but it's hard!

Sh4mmy · 25/07/2020 09:04

@bumblingalonghappily thank you for your message, definitely feel better that my OH can come and that I don't have to wait all day on Monday! The discharge is clear...so o guess that's a good thing??? Not much I can do really until Monday 😢

Sorry you're OH can't go with you, I was actually surprised mine is allowed to come, it's his first baby so I'm pleased he can come!

Will let you know how I get on! Hope you're ok and have a good day xx

Sh4mmy · 25/07/2020 09:06

@2020wish never tmi, I think it helps put our minds at ease, being able to share!

The discharge is clear, so after reading your comment and a few others I'm feeling a bit more at ease!

I'm away with my OH this weekend so will try to relax and then look forward to my EP scan on Monday!

Hope you're having a nice weekend

2020wish · 25/07/2020 09:14

@Sh4mmy yes if it’s clear then u are getting perfectly normal pregnancy symptoms. Who would of thought pregnancy was this glamorous lol I think it’s to do with the increased blood flow to down there that causes the increased discharge. Go and enjoy ur weekend away and ur new pregnancy !! Xx

Headingtowardsforty · 25/07/2020 09:16

Morning all. How we all doing this morning? I am taking comfort in feeling sick and huge boobs still. I am still spotting a little, but still brown and no cramps, just an odd stabbing pain on my right side when I move around.

Roll on Monday morning and my scan.

Sussexbysea · 25/07/2020 09:30

Morning @Headingtowardsforty that’s a good sign. How did you sleep last night?

My breasts have changed shape and my nipples have got so long. I wonder if because this is baby number 2 my body is totally prepared for what to do

Headingtowardsforty · 25/07/2020 10:04

@Sussexbysea slept okay actually thanks. Though I have just come back to bed as I feel so sick. We have a cupboard full of spices and I opened it to look for something, nearly threw up everywhere, closest I've come to actually being sick. It's the top half of my breasts that have filled out, which isn't normally.

How are you doing today otherwise?

DSP21 · 25/07/2020 10:28

@Headingtowardsforty keeping everything crossed that all is ok with you, and no more bleeding definitely sounds good!

I had my first 'night out' meeting friends yesterday for a garden bbq. Played the 'designated driver' card and no one batted an eyelid. I didn't get to bed till 2.30am after having a hot chocolate, husband rolled in at 6 and it woke me and i felt a bit off. Nauseous and a bit unsettled. Went back to sleep for couple hours and now just hungry again.

5 weeks today, no other symptoms otherwise so really quite paranoid! And jealous of all you ladies getting bigger boobs, when is it my turn!!

Clara9 · 25/07/2020 10:44

Am using the what to expect app. Anyone else liking it? I like seeing how big the baby is and there is a video for each week. Like reading the articles and knowing that the things I’m wondering about are normal!

About to leave my friends house and think I’ve managed to get away with the ‘on antibiotics’ excuse!

ValidUser · 25/07/2020 10:49

@Clara9 I like it for the most part, but didn't appreciate the "your embryo might implant this week" when I already had a BFP. And my dates are exact because of fertility treatment. (Maybe I'm neurotic, though. 😂)

Babafarmer · 25/07/2020 11:00

Hello ladies, it has taken me ages to read through all the posts in the thread but now I have I thought I’d say hi.

I’m 34 and due my first baby on the 14th March so I’m currently 6+6. It is my husbands second child. We have both have previous unhappy marriages and I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d be with someone who loved me enough to want to have a child with me.

I have many on the usual symptoms. My boobs have been sore since 4dpo and this week have eased slightly but still growing and firm. I have terrible insomnia and exhausted all the time. Awful bloating and constipation alongside mild nausea. My worst symptom has been the constant cramping which I’ve had since 4 weeks which has progressively got worse including sharp pains and right sided pain increasing when I went to the loo. I suffer anxiety and my anxiety was through the roof and I was obsessed by google and it was consuming my thoughts. I had a discussion with the midwife and she told me I needed counselling Angry but my GP agreed to see me and following an examination On Tuesday referred me to the EPU. I went on Wednesday and had a scan fetal pole measured at 5.4mm, yolk sac present and heartbeat could be seen. Dating me a 6+1 which is just two days out from what I thought. I’ve still had awful cramps afterwards but trying to relax on not let it worry me. I had to go to bed early last night in the hood I’d fall asleep and not feel then. Thankfully they are much better today but I have had a very lazy morning.

Everyone who has scans today and early next week I have everything crossed for you. Here’s to a happy healthy pregnancy for us all. Xxx

Headingtowardsforty · 25/07/2020 11:03

@DSP21 my boobs didn't start growing til I was nearer 6 weeks (I am 7.5 weeks now) and they were so painful it wasn't pleasant! I have got a little spotting, but not much so hopefully everything's okay.

@Clara9 I'm using that one too, as well as Emma's diary and bounty for the freebies. I like the daily tips.

Clara9 · 25/07/2020 11:04

Yeh totally get that bit, @ValidUser. I’m 5+3 and it keeps telling me that I might be able to detect my pregnancy on a test. It’s like... 🤷🏻‍♀️ Mate I’ve already been stressing about this for nearly two weeks 😂😂😂

Jenw2018 · 25/07/2020 11:24

Hi all
I’m panicking abit I’ve had bleeding this morning, feels like period pain and I feel like my other symptoms have stopped 😢 I’m not sure what to do?

2020wish · 25/07/2020 11:26

Jenw2018 · 25/07/2020 11:29

2020wish · 25/07/2020 11:29

Headingtowardsforty · 25/07/2020 11:32

@Jenw2018 fingers crossed for you xx

Clara9 · 25/07/2020 11:39

Clara9 · 25/07/2020 11:43

Eppy123 · 25/07/2020 11:51

Hey everyone, been following this thread and can’t remember if I’ve posted in it yet, sorry!!
I’m currently 6+4, but I have very irregular cycles and the doctor clearly thinks I’m further on than I am and has booked a scan for next week when I will be 7+2.
Wondering if anyone has had an early scan and if they could see the heartbeat at this point? I’m so worried I don’t see it and I panic!
Thanks for any reassurance, hope everyone is keeping well! Xx
