Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

@LottieX glad it helped. I still have really painful and heavy breasts and lots of spinning when I stand up, so having those is reassuring me.

@bumblingalonghappily I think I might be spotting a little again, I haven't checked, just feels like I might be. But I've no pain or even cramps. I am so relieved to have booking in appointment sorted and only just over a week away as well. Midwife was so lovely and told me to phone if I need to.

Kristy17 · 23/07/2020 22:45

@Ricekrispiecake I had 1 with my daughter and 2 nhs ones. I had a lot of bleeding in my first pregnancy so that was why, I had a scan at around 6 weeks where we could see the heartbeat but the baby was tiny, then a private at 8 where you couldn’t see much but you could see the resemblance of a baby and of course the heartbeat, and then one at 10 weeks which was super clear and actually clearer than my 12 week scan at 13 weeks. It definitely helped me with the reassurance but I really hope things are a bit smoother this time round.

Hi all,

Got my BFP on Wednesday evening and haven't stopped smiling!

DD1 is 3yo and we're based in Bristol.

DH and I have been TTC since Christmas and we're starting to get concerned. We've been using OPK since March and nothing. Then the month I go back to work and don't have time to concentrate... 🤷🏼‍♀️

NHS calculator says EDD 26.03 (5weeks based on LMP - but DD was due a May 2017 baby and arrived 2 weeks late in June!

Feeling like I've already been hit by the tired 🚂, except at 4am when I'm waking up starving hungry!

2020wish · 24/07/2020 06:52

Symptoms 5 weeks? This time round I’ve no sore breasts which I had before starting from 3.5 weeks and was my first pregnancy sign. Also af slight cramps?

But I am waking every morning at 6am starving, like feeling sick with hunger. I eat and go back to sleep
But during the day I get bouts of hunger but no real appetite. Nothing really seems ‘oh that’s looks yummy I’ll have that’ so I’m eating just to make sure I’m eating and at that I’m having two bites and I’m full. My sweet tooth, which is usually very sweet, has also gone. I usually live of chocolate and counting down to my next meal and chocolate bar. With my daughter I eat everything around me and couldn’t get enough of chocolate. So this is strange to me. Is it even a symptom?

Clara9 · 24/07/2020 07:04

@2020wish I have the odd hunger pangs, but most of the time am off food - which is very odd for me!!! Usually love going out to eat, but now look at menus and think ‘meh’. Never been picky before! I’ve only been sick twice and it’s when I’ve managed to eat a big meal. Now I’m eating little and often

2020wish · 24/07/2020 07:07

@Clara9 it’s so strange., although I welcome it as with my daughter I became massive just just over eating so I would like to stay ontop of my weight this time so just like u everything sounds ‘meh’ and I’m happy to just eat like I’m not eating for 5 lol

Clara9 · 24/07/2020 07:15

@2020wish As long as we’re taking multivitamins the baby is getting everything they need so it’s all good 😊

Hi @2020wish I'm in the same boat as you, no real symptoms and almost 5 weeks. I don't crave or want to eat anything but get little hunger pangs throughout the day so just eat for the sake of eating (I always wake ups starving so not sure thats a symptom, but now I find myself starving before bed, even after a big dinner!) my sweet tooth has gone too. As much as I don't want morning sickness, it would be a little reassuring that bub is doing well and growing!
Sh4mmy · 24/07/2020 07:25
@Sh4mmy my son is over the moon, he has wanted a baby brother or sister for a very long time.

I'm not great today, dreamed I lost the baby last night, no reason to think so. Though my symptoms have easied off a little. Going to chase my booking in appointment today in the hope that will help. Husband is very "it's all fine". It's so hard to just have to wait.
Sorry I've not replied, travelling all day yesterday to visit my OH's family!

I've just been trying to catch up on the thread, how are you today?

I've been having lots of cramping still and had spotting last week, I have a scan at the EPU on Monday, am quite worried now too! I could've had one this morning but I'm away for the weekend!

Hope you're ok...I know it's hard with all these worries and emotions xx

Headingtowardsforty · 24/07/2020 07:36

@Sh4mmy morning! I had a day of it yesterday, ended up with some brown spotting, but spoke to midwife who reassured me it's very normal at 7 weeks and as long as I have no cramping or red blood not to worry. Also have my booking in appointment sorted for 3rd August.

Today I have decided to just chill as spotting seems to have stopped but have that heavy feeling like I'm going to come on and see how I go. Boobs are still sore and the room still spins if I get up quickly, so I'm taking those as good signs.

How are you? Hope you have a good weekend away.

Sussexbysea · 24/07/2020 08:39

@Headingtowardsforty I really hope it comes to nothing. Also saw you have your booking in appointment next week, that’s great news!

Kristy17 · 24/07/2020 08:40

@2020wish I’ve got slight AF style cramps, more tired than usual and I seem to be a lot hotter ?!

Headingtowardsforty · 24/07/2020 08:44

@Sussexbysea me too. Heavy feeling has shifted to the stretchy ache on one side so hoping it's all good. Feet up, lazy day for me today. So relieved to have booking in appointment sorted.

How are you doing today?

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 08:46

@Kristy17 I'm roasting too, but on steroids so I imagine that's not helping!

Sussexbysea · 24/07/2020 08:50

@Headingtowardsforty I know what you mean by a stretchy ache. I get lots of those. Standing up quickly, coughing, sneezing etc. Although my cramping is a little stronger today but so is my nausea and dizziness.

I don’t remember any of this with my first. I’m still convinced it’s twins

Headingtowardsforty · 24/07/2020 09:00

@Sussexbysea oh yes, the nausea, I was fine til I had breakfast, now it's coming in waves! I sailed through my first pregnancy, apart from being dizzy I was fine. This time I seem to have everything and so much stress! I don't think it's twins here - quite convinced it's a pain in the arse girl tho who is making sure their presence is well and truly known. I was working a 40 week last time and I am way more tired now.

Sussexbysea · 24/07/2020 09:04

@Headingtowardsforty same here. This pregnancy is much different to my previous. I’m aware of every ache, pain, dizzy spell.

If I wasn’t in isolation, I’d be n the sofa with my feet up watching Netflix all day but instead I’m playing playmobil and I’m sure painting is on the agenda today 😪

Headingtowardsforty · 24/07/2020 09:10

@Sussexbysea good luck with the playmobil and painting! Only good thing of a big age gap, he is playing with lego and we are watching Harry Potter films

Jenw2018 · 24/07/2020 09:17

@Headingtowardsforty I’m 5+3 weeks and have that heavy feeling, I keep convincing myself I’m going to come on. Glad to read the spotting has stopped for you Smile

Sussexbysea · 24/07/2020 09:18

@Headingtowardsforty I’ve tried the Disney+ with her, tempting to dress up and watching frozen.... nope she’s wants to play on the floor 👎🏻

Jenw2018 · 24/07/2020 09:22

Has anyone experienced breast pain but in particular one boob and it’s nipple tmi lol sorrry!?

ValidUser · 24/07/2020 09:24

@Jenw2018 not TMI! Mine take turns.

Headingtowardsforty · 24/07/2020 09:25

@Jenw2018 I am now 7+3 but I had it a lot when I was 5 weeks, I think it's your body adjusting.

@Sussexbysea oh dear, hope she gets bored of playing on the floor soon!

Sussexbysea · 24/07/2020 09:42

@Jenw2018 it’s your body getting ready to feed.

Jenw2018 · 24/07/2020 09:52

I’m going out for a birthday meal tomorrow with the family I’m so nervous as one minute I feel ok then sick and tired. The only person who knows is my mum but my OH doesn’t know she knows Halo
Any tips or tricks to help me get through it?
