hama - I'm glad you saw the baby! Shame the dr was so crappy but about 20% of people having a normal prognancy bleed.

hamabeads · 08/10/2007 13:30

It was really nerve racking - at first I couldn't see it, the sonographer had to point it out to me.

Janus · 08/10/2007 13:35

Phew Hama! What a relief, I think it does the power of good to see a heartbeat, you can relax somewhat now, which is all good for the baby. Take care.

MerlinsBeard · 08/10/2007 13:41

glad things went well hama!
welcome back MrsmC

WinkyGirl · 08/10/2007 14:03

Hama I am so pleased for you! You must feel so relieved

I am sorry I am not posting but am so tired still. But I check in every few days to read everyone's news.

I am nearly 17 weeks so not much to report.

gingercat12 · 08/10/2007 14:07

Hama I am so happy for you!!!!

becklespookle · 08/10/2007 14:15

Hama, so pleased you saw little hearbeat! Bleeding can happen for all sorts of reasons during pregnancy - I have bled in every pregnancy and have 2 gorgeous DSs and a rapidly growing bump!
Torres, how did it go at the docs? Hope you are okay. My sickness did not halt completely but at 9 weeks I suddenly felt much better, less hungry and less tired - a few days later it was all back with a vengence so perhaps 8-9 weeks is a point where this is usual? I think a few others have had the same, hope you are okay.
Janus, keep thinking 'healthy and well', you can get through the next 2 weeks hun! Phone your MW for reassurance if you need it although as I said to Torres, I think it is usual for symptoms to disappear for a few days - hope they come back soon x
MrsMc! Welcome back, hope you had a lovely hols!
Winky, 17 weeks where has the time gone!

basilbrush · 08/10/2007 14:19

Hello Ladies - can I join you?

I know some of you from the TTC after m/c thread.

Have had two m/c this year TTC No.2, in March and July (both of which happened in France bizzarely...)

Am now a teeny weeny 4+6 with my third pregnancy of 2007.

And am bloody petrified

Have early scan booked for 3 weeks tomorrow, 30th Oct. Just wish I could sleep and wake up then!

nh101 · 08/10/2007 14:42

I said exactly the same thing BB. But I have relaxed a little now - you've got to take the philisophical approach...

"What will be will be and there's not much you can do to stop it. So just enjoy it!"

I am 6+0 so I know how you feel - but you've made it this far and you can't ask for any more than that. Long may it continue.

So pleased for you hama

I am feeling so rough, never felt this bad last time and even then only at 8-ish weeks. Could my twins fear be realised (this is a Clomid baby)?

Glimmer · 08/10/2007 14:53

Hi all,
congrats to everybody who saw a heartbeat recently. Congrats also to everybody who joined recently. Hope you get the support here you need especially during the first weeks.

...And the last weeks -- I guess that when we need support most: first and last weeks.

Mumpbump thanks for asking, how are you? DS2 sleeing on sounds good. I guess the antenatal classes don't really work for me, since the ladies there have all had uneventful pregnancies and have much less anxieties than I have. I feel I cannot share my experience with them, since it would freak them unnecessarily out. Maybe I would do better at a birth trauma class, although my fears have more to do with the treatment I received than the actual complications, but then, never haven given birth, I don't exactly suffer from birth trauma, but post-miscarriage-complication trauma....Not sure if I should act, or just wait and see - I feel I really made the right decision for me by working with an IM. Oh, oh, this turned out to be an entangled post. As you can see -- hormones reating high :-)

Glimmer · 08/10/2007 14:55

correction: rearing

tc1978 · 08/10/2007 17:08

Thanks for your kind messages.

So pleased for Hama, it's all we want in the early days isn't it? To see that little heartbeat!!

I did another pregnancy test today, not sure why it just made me feel a bit better that the line was still there even though I know it doesn't mean anything.

Not feeling very confident at the moment, don't have any symptoms and am 6 weeks now.

hamabeads · 08/10/2007 17:33

Thanks for all of your kind messages.

tc1978 - I don't really have any symptoms either, except tiredness and sore norks on occasions. But that is normal for me. Never had morning sickness in any of my pregnancies. Always thought it must be nice to have the reassurance of the sickness, although some of my firends have looked ghastly with it.

flosspot · 08/10/2007 17:46

Great news Hamabeads- so pleased, and not a little bit jealous. My GP will not send me for a scan till eleven weeks...so still four and a half weeks to go!!

And hello to new person tc. We are all lovley, if a little bonkers....

Congrats to rubles...beautiful name. Sadly would not work with our surname.

Welcome back MrsMcJ

Hello NH- sorry you are feeling icky. Will be very cross if you get twins and I don't!!!

Hello to everyone else...only scanned the days and days of reading I had to catch up on, so may have missed something...apologies.

feedmenow · 08/10/2007 17:47

Welcome back MrsMc!!

And welcome back Basil. I think you sadly left this thread a week or so after I joined as I remember your name and your mc in France But you are back, and that is great!! Here's to a long, boring, uneventful next 35 weeks for you!

Hama, I sometimes, correction, OFTEN think that docs see so many patients that they just repeat the same old stuff to everyone without really listening. Would be nice to be seen as an individual, unique person though, wouldn't it!

Well, I am getting really niggly lower ab pains the past few days and think I must have a bug. I tend not to get things full-strength, and I know we have a sickness bug going round this area at the mo. And seeing as I seriously thought I was going to be sick on Saturday night, then I think (and hope) this is all it is. But funnily, while I am still worrying, I got a distinct big kick about half an hour ago, same as I got one day last week! Not really aware of a whole lot else, but there was no mistaking these! It's just so wierd that it is one sudden kick that comes and goes in the blink of an eye and I almost feel like I must have imagined it!!

Anyway, how is everyone else doing? Blooming? Puking? Rosie or wretched???

tizzwhizz · 08/10/2007 18:20

Hi

Sorry not got a lot of time today but Just wanted to say thats brilliant Hama. Pleased everything is ok.

torres · 08/10/2007 19:14

Hi all, thankyou for all your kind words

Back from the epu an everything is fine - such a reassurance to see that heartbeat

janus- I know what you mean about missing the sickness! The nurse seemed unfazed by my sickness dying off and said the body is in a constant state of flux with all the pg hormones trying to adjust itself back to 'normal', some days it just manages that better than others.Hope you can keep calm through the next few weeks

beckle- thanks hun, I hadn't realised it was fairly common for symptoms to take a break, all I could find during my weekend panic was a comment in Lesley regan's book that it was 'unusual', which of course sent me into overdrive. Thank god for MN!

basil hello old friend, and welcome back!

Great news hama

nh and flosspot- can't believe we still have to wait a few weeks to see if there are any twins lurking! xx

Bouncingturtle · 09/10/2007 07:19

I've been really busy last couple of days hence not been able to post!
MrscMc - Welcome back, did you enjoy your holiday?
Hama, Torres - congrats on your scans Takes a weight off doesn't it?
Hello to everyone else, sorry still haven't got a load of time! Hopefully will have tonight.
No news from me, just getting increasingly tired and stiff. Babba doing somersaults most days!
Strange symptom report - a weird itchy rash on my left arm! I don't recall coming into contact with anything that might have caused it, intending to go to GP if it hasn't cleared up be end of week. Strange thing is, one of my colleagues is 27 weeks, (I'm 29) and she has had a weird itchy rash too! Apparently it may be because during pg your immune system is quite low? Will be asking my mw on Thursday about it. Anyone else had anything about it. Oh and my glue ear is returning

missworry · 09/10/2007 08:56

Hello,

Have reached the magic 12 weeks and had the NT scan today and combined with the blood test results it was all good news. Perhaps when I get used to the idea that everything is ok I might start to relax and feel calmer and happier.

DH has just bought home some take away for dinner, I had better go and eat. Talk to you soon.

EllieG · 09/10/2007 09:00

Scan in half an hour! Wish me luck ladies
