Hey ladies I bet you can?t guess what DH is out watching at this moment

Feedmenow ? yum, liking the sound of those puddings! what is this about snorting salt water? I must have missed something!

Janus ? I think you are right, we all have our superstitions!

CharlesandEddie ? hang in there hon, you just can?t tell from symptoms or lack of them, when I MCd, I had far more symptoms than I have had this pregnancy (now nearly 32 weeks) I have read that dry eyes is a common problem in pregnancy, I do find my contact lenses itching more. Healthy and well

Wow Chocolatepeanut! can?t believe that you are nearly there wishing you tons of luck for a great experience, keep us posted!!

Yeah!!! Happy Mat Leave Bouncing!! I am so pleased for you but so too ? I still have 5 full weeks

Marymalone ? hon, no more tests, save the money for nappies! x

Hi everybody and an extra-special welcome to Lissie and Jules!I so much hope you will be on this thread for the next nine months (okay 8 or so)!
I am really touched by the wishes and support from my old and new friends on this thread -- thank you! I know I have no reason to complain, since chances are everything will end up well, but I am not doing so well mentally. I am just scared about everything that might happen and can't imagine this baby will ever come out. I know this is just another incidence of hormone-induced reality loss, but this knowledge doesnt really help right now and I have totally lost perspective...
Good luck to everybody and thanks again for all the good wishes!

marymalone · 17/11/2007 19:34

hey glimmer take it easy, its those very hormones that will help you through the labour, listen to your body and you will be absolutely fine, that bay is coming out and will be in your arms very soon. you can do it. x

ejt1764 · 17/11/2007 19:52

Hi to all the newbies (and not so newbies) ... healthy and well!

Glimmer - what you are feeling at the mo' is totally normal - I expressed my fears of not believing it would actually happen to me to the midwife (in floods of tears!) - she then told me that my tears and fears were normal ... and even more so when I'd had the 2 losses ... 3 days later, I was holding my beautiful baby!
Good luck to you - I'm really looking forward to your birth announcement!

CharlesandEddie · 17/11/2007 23:46

hello everyone!
managed a trip to boots today WITHOUT purchasing a cbd!! amazing!
hope you are all well - dh keeps sayng ny 'snappy' outbursts are a good sign

Bouncingturtle · 18/11/2007 08:19

Well done Charlesandeddie And it's good your DH is being positive.
Hello Glimmer!!!

mcchesers · 18/11/2007 14:15

So I'll 7 weeks on Tuesday. I woke up feeling wretched. Nothing tastes good, blech. I've been drinking V8 juice with ice. It's about all I can manage. I just need to make it through this week till next weds. I just need to keep busy I guess. Drag that I don't start my job until December. Cannot wait to get back to work again.

poppy34 · 18/11/2007 19:52

can I join you? too scared to join proper antenatal club as had 2 m/c and lost my last one due to abnormalities at 21 weeks. Now 8 1/2 weeks and keeping my fingers crossed as scared that it'll go wrong again..

Bouncingturtle · 19/11/2007 08:48

Welcome Poppy - IKWYM re: AN clubs, I waited until after dating scan to join one, it was hard being upbeat and cheery in the first few weeks. When I first fell pg, I joined one straight away, but sadly there were several m/c - 5 in a space of a few days, ending in my own , and since I was already feeling very nervous didn't want to have to deal with all that again.
Anyway, here's to an uneventful pg - have you got your booking in appointment as yet?

Jossiejump · 19/11/2007 09:26

Hi Glimmer-I'm not overdue yet, but feeling the same as you, especially as DS1 & 2 were born before this stage of the pregnancy.
I just want the baby here so I can reassure myself, but am still in disbelief that we are actually having this baby. I noticed the other day that DH has started taking more notice of my bump more, stroking it etc as he did with the boys, I think it was because he was scared to get too attached as well, because of losing the last three pg.

Race you to the labout ward!!

fettleandbabyfettle · 19/11/2007 11:11

Hi all

so pleased to see Lissie and Jules here - keeping everything crossed these ones remain healthy and well!

Glimmer - totally normal to feel as you are - you won't believe it until you are holding you little one in your arms - which you will do very soon.

Cece - so sorry to hear of your down's risk, but I would have made exactly same decision after mcs we agreed we wouldn't risk amnio or even do anything if we found out anything was wrong, so decided not to even have the tests - didn't stop me worrying though. Hope the rest of your pg is going well?

Big waves to everyone else - hope you are all feeling reassuringly sick, or reassuring kicks, depending on where you are!!
I was just thinking this morning that it is coming up to a year since I mc the 2nd time (22nd Dec) and here I am with a nearly 9 week old baby sleeping on my shoulder - so sending lots of positive sticky baby vibes to you all.
xxx

marymalone · 19/11/2007 14:39

hi everyone
welcome poppy34 congratulations for making it to 8 1/2 weeks! so sorry to hear of your previous problems with pregnancy. my fingers are well and truly crossed, and for you all...

great news charlesandeddie i too have made it for 2 whole days without re-testing!

new symptom: crying for ridiculous reasons, uncontrolably! its all coming back to me from my first pregnancy. dh has always said i was an emotional wreck thru the 1st trimester, and i have since denied it, but god i recognise it now! bloody hormones!!

hope its a good day all round

CharlesandEddie · 19/11/2007 17:17

i cried when i saw a new wind farm today! Out of happiness..... how wierd is that
broke my duck though and re tested - looked hopeful but who knows - scan saturday for me so will hopefully get a yay or nay!

fingers crossed for everyone here!

EllieG · 20/11/2007 09:13

Hello all - hope everyone is well.

Just so no one else mentions too much or gets too excited - lissie had bad news and has MC, saw on the other thread, so am guessing won't be back here hope that was OK to say.

mcchesers · 20/11/2007 09:32

Thanks Ellie, I'm sure that's fine. Big hugs to Lissie. Awful ups and downs with this preg stuff.

MerlinsBeard · 20/11/2007 09:48

Ellie, can u link the thread please.

mcchesers · 20/11/2007 10:31

Link is here

I hope that worked

Bouncingturtle · 20/11/2007 10:45

Yes it did. Poor Lissie, it's so unfair

Janus · 20/11/2007 11:46

Oh poor Lissie, I'm so sad for her to have to keep going through this, surely there must be something more they can do.

Bouncingturtle · 20/11/2007 13:09

From she is saying, there is but she is getting no help from her hospital.

hotchoc · 20/11/2007 15:23

Hello everyone

I did 3 attempts at posts this morning and finally gave up in a huff, hope this one works.

so much for keeping up whilst on mat leave, been busier than ever.

Jossie, i know exactly what you mean about the test results coming back to worry you. i have felt fine about mine since the 22 week scan but now i do keep mulling them over again. hope you don't have to wait too much longer now and good luck with the birth.

i have opted for an elective c-section this time after a hairy time with ds2, taken a lot of thinking about but i think it is best all round.

wishing all those with new bfp a really boring pregnancy and those waiting for scans in limbo land i feel for you.

thinking of you all

hotchocx

EllieG · 20/11/2007 16:20

Am getting so desparate for my second scan now - keep worrying that something is wrong. I don't think I will ever really relax until this baby has popped out!

makecakesnotwar · 20/11/2007 16:37

Hello all- not been around due to lack of internet/broadband. Felt like I'd lost an arm. Been quite low as well recently....but nausea seems to be going. I packed up lots of my clothes and underwear this week as NOTHING fits anymore....can't believe there's only one baby!

But there is...had my 12 week scan today (13 weeks on Thursday) and baby was wriggling and squirming then turning it's back. Quite funny- they kept having to poke me in the tummy to get Pip to move. DH was speeshless (with joy I hope). They did all the nuchal stuff/blood tests and my chances of downs are 1 in 11418, and 1 in 22000 for Edwards syndrome. It's really set my mind at rest...will upload new pic when I've figured out my new phone (Blackberry), but ust wanted to let you all know...you're doing a great job of keeping me sane!!!

sweetkitty · 20/11/2007 16:43

hello keep fogetting this thread hope everyone else is doing well, I'm 6+5 today feeling dog rough but doing OK.

Scan booked for next week when I will be 8 weeks exactly, v nervous about it.

MrsMcJnr · 20/11/2007 16:46

Sending huge hugs Glimmer, you?ll get there
