Goingfor3 oh my god, I thought it was someone else all the time I didn't make the connection with the letters/numbers being posted and didn't realise that anyone thought it was you - you are healthy and well and we all know it

Bouncing - sounds like you had a good night

Thanks for empathy Feedmenow If we get her again we shall be telling her exactly why we would rather see someone else!

My friend had a baby girl last night and another friend is being induced on 12/11 and then..... next baby I know of is mine!

Bouncingturtleskulls · 27/10/2007 12:57

Cece, I can't see how to customise my talkboard!! Please tell me how, cos I can't stand it like this!

goingfor3 · 28/10/2007 19:05

That's alright Flosspot. I did have some red bleedin this morning and some spotting last night but ut seems to have settled. It may be from the thrush I have. I will call epu in the morning. I seem to spend all my time on this thread moaning about something or other

MerlinsBeard · 28/10/2007 19:10

flosspot at the top of the list of threads there is a sentance writtien in bold that says "N.B. If you'd like to change the way the Talk board looks for you, click customise talk board. "

Goingfor3...i was also confused because i hadn't noticed anyone calling you G43 before!

Srry you have had bleeding, please let us now how it goes at epu

feedmenow · 28/10/2007 20:03

gingercat12 · 29/10/2007 13:28

Am so glad your scan went well, MrsMcSpooky.

I spent a lovely weekend with in-laws and listening to baby-kicks

cece · 29/10/2007 13:50

Looks like a few of us are having scans tomorrow. Me too, got the 12 week one.

Bouncingturtleskulls · 29/10/2007 14:24

It has all kicked off again at work, had a barney with 2 of my colleagues who were complaining about the lab despite the fact I had already told them that we were severly short staffed and we had actually done what we asked them to. I just got so angry I ended up storming out of the meeting, shouting "Shut the bloody plant down see if i care", because one of the shift managers was complaining that some standards not been made up (which they had been done!) so they may not have been able to do a distillation run on one of the plants. What I should have said was well, f* it, let's cancel all the tanker loads in so my staff can waste time doing your effing job for you and see how you get on without any crude feedstocks.
I had long discussion with HR manager telling her what happened, that I am under stress and that I'm scared I'll hurt the baby. The main thing I'm worried about is by being so stressed out I'm going to bring on premature labour.
I hate being a manager and i hate my job. I really thought about handing my notice in there and then, but then calmed down a bit.
I guess I'll go in tomorrow, but only for my lab staff and coz, I'm currently recruiting people. What's worse is that I've got an audit on Monday and the guy doing the audit is a complete nightmare and I know he'll find loads wrong and I'll probably end up losing my rag. I think I'm going to arrange to not be around....

Bouncingturtleskulls · 29/10/2007 14:25

Audit on Wednesday I mean not Monday. Today is Monday... AGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

MrsMcSpooky · 29/10/2007 14:47

Goingfor3 ? hope the scan goes well hon, I?ll be thinking of you

Cece ? all the best for tomorrow

Bouncing ? I really am worried about what the situation at work will do to you, you really don?t need all this stress and you are right, the risk is that your baby may come early ? please, please take it easy and finish up soon.

becklespookle · 29/10/2007 14:59

Bouncing, how long have you got left until ML? I am sure you are finishing around the same time as me (beginning of Dec) - is that right? Can you look at taking it a bit earlier? You may find it easier if you know you only have a week/2 weeks left? You do need to put baby and yourself first - however unfair that seems to your lab staff. I was warned by my HV to slow down or baby may come early and I am doing no-where near what you are and am under no-where near as much stress.

Bouncingturtleskulls · 29/10/2007 15:50

Beckle/MrsMc. Thanks for your concern.
I am seriously considering leaving earlier - I'm due to start m/l on 3rd December. Need to have a look and sort my holidays out.
I haven't got huge amounts of prep to do, so need to think about what is still left and go from there.

siameez · 29/10/2007 18:28

Glad you're still here going43! Bouncing what a nightmare! I find the simple fact of having to go to work while pregnant makes me angrier than usual with everyone let alone when things actually are awful. I hope you find a way to stay clear of it all and leave as soon as possible.

I got another scan today too! (I think my hospital must be funded according to how many scans they offer) They did the marker scan for Downs and nothing showed up, plus the sonographer was completely understanding, said of course I could have the blood test so they did that too Midwife didn't look happy and I heard her saying to him that she'd told me I couldn't have it and him explaining to her it was for reassurance. So bizarre! Why wouldn't she want me to have a blood test?

Anyway, I don't care, all seems well and for the first time I actually believe I'm going to have a baby at the end of all this
