@T2020 I told mine at 5 weeks but that la because of my job. In my previous pregnancy I was office based and told them after my 12 week scan, I preferred them to be aware and I was showing by then anyway 😂

@T2020 I'm waiting till after my scan (currently furloughed) and if I need to go back soon it won't be until after my scan on the 15th

Anyone getting headaches?? I've been getting them relatively frequently for the last few days

11 weeks today!

MarvEll · 02/07/2020 12:55

@pol96 yes, headaches every single evening. They make me feel sick and moody!

@T2020 I’m waiting until my 20 week scan to tell work I think. I wfh though, so no reason anyone would notice in the meantime!

Can anyone reassure me that I’m not the only one who doesn’t feel pregnant?! I’m 14+2 today and I have symptoms, no bump, nothing. I feel like I dreamt the whole thing even though my 12 week scan was fine? Argh. Feel like until bump appears I’m doomed to be a nervous wreck.

@T2020 after the 12 week scan. I don't know why I'm so nervous though?!?

@T2020 I'm waiting for 20 week scan. I haven't worked for my employer very long (9 months) and although I'm entitled to maternity benefits I'm still nervous about their reaction. I want to keep it a secret a little while longer

I informed work on Tuesday about a week after my 12 week scan. I've only worked their about a year but they were very understanding and actually the reaction was really sweet and heartwarming.

@Pol96 @MarvEll yes to the headaches. Got one now! Literally get them every afternoon from 2-6pm. They started coming every day from when I was around 10 weeks and I'm now 13+3 😫 hope they go soon cos I'm really struggling!

@WhoUsedMyName haha. It's all a bit of a guess but I thought the skull looked quite round, which from what I've read means girl, but I'm definitely not an expert! Xx

@MarvEll @MilsCookie I'm glad I'm not the only one.. They're horrid. Mine started about 10 weeks too, I'm only 11 now. What have you been doing/taking to help with them?

@WhoUsedMyName they're great pictures!

@WhoUsedMyName amazing scan pics!

I called the doc today as my sickness and nausea was bad and they have prescribed me some anti sickness meds and some for acid reflux- hope they get working. Anyone else on meds? Xx

@WhoUsedMyName lovely pics! 😍

@T2020 I'm starting a new job on Monday so it's going to be fun having to tell them I'm pregnant! I'm planning to tell them after my 12 weeks scan though.

@BabyG123 @MeganC104 that's the only symptom that I have actually... I'm always hungry but can't stand food smell or the idea of preparing it, although I don't have morning sickness. I've been eating so bad I feel like... just trying to find the quickest thing to eat so I can get over the smell 😂

Aww amazing clear pic! Congrats!! So do u need to drink water before you go for 12 week scan?

Report
WhoUsedMyName · 02/07/2020 18:00

Every scan hun the more u drink the clearer the picture x

BabyG123 · 02/07/2020 18:30

You drink water a hour before with no toilet trips. I point downing before you go in as it doesn't reach the bladder.

My bladder was so full the sonographer commented and said I think you need to go and empty you bladder now, look at it! And moved the scan image to a huge bladder 🤣

Yeah it's not the most comfortable I had a trainee and it went on for so long with the actual sonographer going through it all with her

@Pol96 baby has a huge growth spurt between 10-12 weeks so I think it's hormones... hopefully yours won't carry on as long as mine have (I'm having twins so might be why!) My sister bought me some tiger balm type stuff for my head and a pack of flannels which have definitely been helping. As soon as I feel it coming on I take two paracetamol, rub the tiger balm on my head and get a cold flannel and lie down in a dark room (usually end up napping 🙈) but that does really help. I'm lucky in that I'm working from home so can do that if I need to - but would definitely recommend tiger balm, or "4head" - especially because we can't take any stronger painkillers at the mo!
