I'd be happy to join 😀
Where is the other Jan thread?

Report
SunSparkle · 20/11/2020 12:11

Hows about we just set up a new one? There's a new Jan babies thread opened at the moment. We could pop a link in there maybe? I'm disappointed about the other one but I guess we could just start our own?

The group on Facebook that was started was meant to be an interactive and safe place for women to go through their pregnancy and ask for any support they need, the group was closed to members near the start and since then has been opened back up twice, both times opened for a few days to allow people to join and posted here when it was open with a link to the group, anyone who didn't join in time then sorry for that but the group is now officially closed due to babies arriving and personal experiences getting very personal- its to keep it a safe place!

In regards to people being removed, the group was set up to be interactive and the most recent post was to encourage that and as pointed out above everyone saw the post and all they had to do was comment to say they are still about! 🤷‍♀️
Its only fair everyone participates in the group they are in....

@namechange91 I'm not trying to argue with you but I don't understand the need to 1. Remove people in the first place. 2. Not allow them to rejoin?
I never saw the message because I never even got the chance to join in the first place, despite asking for details several times.

@1284fibearpig and @Frafalconi

There is another group Dec20/Jan21 Babies. It's private so may not be able to see it but if you send a message to Ciara Savage (she may need to friend you just to send the invite) she'll be able to add you in. I've found it really useful.

I do get the reason why it needs to be private but I'm a bit shocked that a group set up to help support pregnant women won't help those that missed one Facebook post.

namechange91 · 20/11/2020 10:47

Every single member on the group viewed the post, we checked. You had one week to comment, you obviously didn't. Sorry.

I'm in the same position as @Frafalconi, was in the group from the start and missed the call for engagement post. I had posted and commented n the group before, and cant believe I missed one post and was kicked out - no warning. Having a UK based group was so good for my mental health in this covid world as im finding it really isolating as a FTM. Even my NCT only has 3 other couples, and all much younger than me. Especially at this time I would hope that the admins reconsider not just to support the business end of the pregnancy phase coming up, but in the long run and post partum.

I see :-(
decision makes me really sad though: i was in the group for long and found it very supportive... unfortunately I missed the latest warnings posted in the group as I was working like a crazy...now I'm off work and I'm so gutted! Fra falconi

The Facebook group won't be reopening due to everyone being so close to their deliveries and confidential information being put on there now. For the mums to be that aren't on the page maybe you could start up another one so you can build a little support group for yourselves as I have found it more helpful putting faces to names and sharing posts/ pictures etc. 😊

Hi ladies, I would be really grateful if anyone can add me back in the group, Fra Falconi. I'm FTM, feeling very pregnant now that I'm off work -:)

Thanks! I had some horrible weeks at work and it seems I missed it :-( I was so stressed and tired, I took two weeks off...

@Frafalconi I think the admins put up a post for a week for people to comment and if they didnt contribute on the post they were removed just to make sure it was legit people. I don't know what the cut off date was tho

Had a very strange dream last night that I was pregnant with triplets. Took a good minute after waking up for me to puzzle out that that wasn't the case and I just have one in there! I've always had odd, vivid dreams even before pregnancy but it's been rare for me to dream about the pregnancy itself. Pretty odd experience! Anyone else has any strange pregnancy/baby related dreams?

My belly looks like someone took a plate of jelly and have it a good wobble, baby is moving so much. It actually kinda hurts when she goes mad like this - I think my skin starts to protest after a while! Her pattern at the moment though is to be very active for half an hour then chill out for an hour or two, so I'll soon get some rest.

Also think my boobs have started to leak. I see some crusty stuff in my bra sometimes, right where the nipples go. Could just be dry skin though since i have quite a bit of that. Gonna buy some pads just in case.

Hope everyone's doing okay. Not too long to go now guys, hang in there!

32+4 today.

@Carabu1 I thought you were abit further along. Glad you are ok, we are nearly there! Yay...can't wait to hear everyone's stories.

@Baba11 - hello! Yes, I'm 33 and a bit weeks now...feel like time is really speeding up! It's been a difficult few months really for me, thanks to various (mercifully it seems quite minor) complications, but I'm still trucking on. Feels like the end is in sight now, eek. How are you doing?

Massive congratulations to those who have given birth - hope you and babies are well :)

Thanks @MeganC104. I rang the triage line as I was only going to worry myself.
MW told me to lie on my left and relax for an hour and monitor. Thought that was odd as that’s normally the advice for reduced movements. Anyway, 30 mins in and the little monkey had done nothing! Started to wiggle again just after that. So I guess that’s a good thing as it had a rest. (Hate saying ‘it’ but we don’t know the gender!). Going to call MW back shortly and see what she says.

I think from 28 weeks baby moves more and more. I'm 31 weeks and baby is treating my womb like a rave. At 28 weeks though there was a day he didn't move. I called midwife and was asked to come in straight away. I think if you notice a decrease from now you are supposed bro contact them

Just wanted to ask if anyone had experienced days when bubba doesn’t seem to stop moving? I’m 29 wks tomorrow. Normally it has inactive moments (sometimes I’m worried it doesn’t move enough!) and then today it has been active alllll day it feels like. I stupidly googled and some results say it’s fine and from around now it could move more. Others say it could be in fetal distress and it’s serious?! So now I’m worried. The movements aren’t frantic, just the same as other days, kicks/jabs/rolls but the frequency has increased. Any help appreciated x.
