Thanks for the new thread @BabyG123 I am another one that reads quite a bit but don't post much - I feel like I don't have much interesting to say!

I have my 12 week scan this week when I will be 12 weeks exactly but I think only 11+3 by ovulation if I got that right. Bit worried it will be too early based on someone else's post? Eek

It's so nice seeing all the scan pics congrats all Smile

Hello everyone

I can't stop eating! HELP. I've gone from barely eating to the last two days constantly stuffing my face. I've been nauseous and I'm just eating so much stuff it's awful and I can't seem to stop.
I feel like I'm huge and barely exercising.
I went to work today so I bought a sandwich from co op on the way as if I'm hungry I'm really sick.
I ate porridge for breakfast, the sandwich slowly mid morning, a chicken carbonara type pasta (not much a few bites jt wasn't the best) for lunch two slices of the chocolate cake, then a Thai curry for dinner I've had a piece of chocolate and not one but three packets of quavers! I don't even like quavers 😔
I am getting stressed about it I have never been on the big side and I'm getting stressed about piling on loads of weight and then having to lose it but I have a huge urge to eat !! I can't stop.

Hospital info that might be useful if anyone else 'falls off the radar'

So I had my 12 week scan Thursday at 11+0 as long cycles, anyway after the scan I had x3 bloods and then wait for the midwife (at hospital 3 hours in total!!!)
This is because they're trying to get all appointments done in one place.

Anyway as I was too early I have another scan next week x3 more bloods for downs/edwards/Patau etc and then the midwife again.
So I called to say is there a faster process than it being 3-4 hours in total. They said it's changed now and I have to book the midwife separate at my local clinic.

They don't send letters about this or tell you. So Thought I'd mention Incase anyone else falls off the radar 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had to book my own pregnancy with midwife team then I got a call (about half an hour long) going through bits then I had an appointment at the hospital I saw one midwife who went through basically everything that the one on the phone had then I saw another midwife who done all my urine sample, height , weight etc then I was sent down stairs for bloods and was told I would get scan in the post. Then 2 days later I get a call from midwife trying to go through the same process so I explained it had been done confused couldn't she see this on the system?
Then I was told other than my scan she's not sure what the process is anymore with community midwife and that I should call the go surgery around 18 weeks 🤣very helpful

@babyG123 thanks for the new thread!

Anyone else has lack of symptoms still? I'm getting worried something is wrong... my boobs seems to be almost back to normal, still no sickness, or anything... I'd think by now I would have more intense symptoms...
This wait is a killer 😩

Hi.
I haven't commented in a while but have been reading.
Hope everyone is well.
Another 2 weeks till my scan. Can't wait. Time is really dragging! Once I have had the 12 week scan and screening we are going to tell our 3 DC. I'm really looking forward to that.

@dixiedo I’m the same, I’m having a sandwich for pudding after every meal. Luckily I’ve gone off sweet stuff but making up for it in toast!

@BabyG123 it's strange how much it can differ... when did you start seeing your belly growing with your son then? I feel like it will feel more real once I start showing...

BabyG123 · 30/06/2020 21:33

@lilypad88 about 18 weeks I'd say. I think I already am this time round too. I'd be so shocked if it's another boy as I'm the opposite this time!

@Moo2019 ahhh wow! I found out at 6 weeks because I went for an early scan due to a bit of spotting. Was fully expecting them to tell me there was nothing there...not that there were TWO heartbeats!! 🤣 so I've had a bit of time to get my head around it!!

In terms of eating, I've been eating like a horse from the beginning!! I've been lucky to not have much sickness and my appetite has just gone through the roof. And doesn't show any signs of slowing down yet 🙈 I'm gonna be the size of a house if I keep going at this rate!!! 🏠 👶🏻 👶🏻

@MilsCookie god that must have been a bit of a rollercoaster!!

In a way it’s so nice being ‘high risk’ cus of all the extra scans. I’m so excited to see them again Grin and funny that our due dates are so close.

I’m just hoping that things improve a bit soon so my husband can come to a scan. It’s so magical seeing them swimming around.

I’ve been thinking about maybe booking in for an elective c section when it comes to it. Before I knew it was twins I really wanted a natural birth and I’m not sure of the pro and cons with twins, but I’m sort of thinking of most end up as c sections anyway I might as well prepare for that?

Moo2019 · 30/06/2020 21:41

God I’m 13+4 and can still barely eat a thing!! The first trimester it was mainly cus of nausea but even now if I eat a large meal it really upsets my stomach or I vomit. The smell of food is still repulsive to me too. So far I’ve lost a bit of weight, but I’m sure I’ll catch up soon!

lilypad88 · 30/06/2020 21:46

@BabyG123 oh wouah! I thought would be earlier, but saying that the lady from the scan told me I'd probably won't show until 16 weeks.. I was really hoping to see it grow much earlier haha

Oh yea! It would be interesting if it was a girl! 😄

MilsCookie · 30/06/2020 21:52

@Moo2019 oh wow, your thoughts literally echo mine regarding c section! When I first found out that it was a 50/50 chance of it having to be a c section I was a bit gutted cos always loved the idea of hypnobirthing and trying for a birth as natural as possible, but with twins that's gonna be highly unlikely so I'm like, I'd rather choose an elective c section so it can be planned. An emergency section sounds so much more stressful and if there's a 50% chance that a vaginal birth won't be possible then surely it makes sense to book in for a c section! I'm also worried that I could possibly give birth to the first one, then have to have an emergency c section for the second one. My consultant told me it will all depend on so many things and can change on the day!! I'm so happy to have found someone going through the exact same thing and only 3 days apart!! 😃

@Moo2019 p.s. forgot to say, did they tell you they recommend getting them out by 36 weeks? So if that's the case, they'll be coming at the start of Dec!! 😬

@MilsCookie yeah that’s exactly how I feel. I don’t want to get my heart set on a natural birth and then end up finding an emergency c section really traumatic. I think if I can get into the mindset of having a c section and be ok with it, it must just be better for me and the babies. I’m definitely going to ask someone about whether there are any risks associated with twin c sections specifically. I know with natural births it’s really important to get the second baby out pronto, which is why the second one can sometimes be a section and that just sounds a bit worrying to me!

I think they said to me 37 weeks would be the max I would go, but to be honest it’s a bit of a blur!! But yeah I’m imagining early to mid December they’ll be here.

We will have to keep each other updated about how it’s all going!
