Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

We will be in double figures by the time we give birth!

Bumble84 · 27/06/2020 09:31

Just marking my place! Nothing much to report this morning.

Going to try and start doing a bit more exercise. Been feeling a bit lazy as haven’t even been walking much. I’ve already put on 6lbs 😬😬

Rnic1x · 27/06/2020 09:33

@Katbaby how's your sickness been?

Has anybody actually lost weight? I'm still less than I was the day I found out I was pregnant with the added massive boobs and bump I have no idea how 🙈

sgray01 · 27/06/2020 09:34

I've lost over a stone in 6 weeks! Sickness hasn't been kind to me! Eased off now however appetite has completely gone!

emmalily9 · 27/06/2020 09:36

@Bumble84 I need to walk more too! I used to be very active before I was pregnant then what with lockdown and feeling rubbish during the first few weeks I've not got back to it 🙈

ElsaCC · 27/06/2020 09:39

I'm on about 7lbs less than when I started my pregnancy. The nausea and sickness were quite bad and like @sgray01 my appetite hasn't come back yet so I have to force myself to eat most meals. But at least I'm not being sick anymore and still have enough energy do its not all bad

december2020 · 27/06/2020 09:43

Marking my place too!

Yes I've lost weight since I found out I'm pregnant too! Though assuming that'll all change soon enough!

My bump is starting to pop like crazy! It's like I'm growing Andre (or Andrea) the giant here!! If this is only 15 weeks, whats 30 weeks going to be like!

LoveSunshine01 · 27/06/2020 10:07

I've def been putting on weight, was quite active before but pregnancy+lockdown=chub! Been doing the first bit of exercise in about 2 weeks this morning and was shocked by how unfit I am. Struggling to do even a quarter of what I would have done before. Was gonna be one of those fit pregnant women 🤦‍♀️😂

@Bumble84 I know what you mean about bump comments - we should come up with some good comebacks but I don't know if I'm ballsy enough to actually use them!

djmbaker · 27/06/2020 10:46

Morning girls!!

Nothing to report really over here.

I've got a scan tomorrow, suffering with ore scan jitters!! Hoping everything is still good.

I've become so lazy since I got pregnant, I really need to get back into some form of fitness. The sickness and tiredness has killed me!! I don't feel like I've put any weight on apart from my growing bump that's it.

Hope you are all ok xx

Katbaby · 27/06/2020 10:58

I hadn't put weight on until this week. I lost 5 pounds in first few weeks with sickness then gained those back so as of 13 weeks I was pre pregnancy weight. I'm now 13+5 and I've gained 3 pounds this week alone! Freaking out!? Hoping 2 of those pounds are boobs! 🤣Mine feel full and huge for me haha

@Rnic1x sickness seems to have completely gone this last 4 days been an amazing feeling so much more energy managing long dog walks and a workout yesterday which I am aching to death from.
I know what you guys mean about not having the same level of fitness or strength anymore.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @djmbaker I'm sure everything will be perfect

viixie · 27/06/2020 11:10

Just saying hi so I don't lose this new thread Smile

dixiedo · 27/06/2020 11:25

Hello everyone. I've become an avid lurker 😂
I'm still due New Years Day so a little behind you ladies.
Sickness is easing definitely. Still have it in the morning some days and if I go near a fridge? Also if I'm hungry. I'm going to work on Monday so hopefully I'll get through the day.

I'm loving the Pram search very exciting. I've looked a little but not sure on what I want yet. Have to find somewhere to go and have a play.
I had a silver cross with DS1.
It had fixed wheels and I found it hard to manoeuvre in the shops so maybe keep an eye out on the wheels if you think this is something that may bother you... Lovely for walking on the seafront etc.
DS2 I had the iCandy peach jogger I think it's changed name now but it was the three wheel one. It was fab to be honest. I couldn't fault it.

I am still certain on not finding out the sex so shopping is really limited. I have a blanket and a couple of cardigans.

Glad everyone is well.
I can't tag on the new thread but so sorry to read about the clot how scary. I'm glad it's being managed and fingers crossed all will be good x X

Nic2908 · 27/06/2020 12:04

Hi guys, marking my spot so I dont loose you all. @katbaby how exciting buying the first few things. So precious.

december2020 · 27/06/2020 12:16

I bought a few random baby clothes pieces from a brand back home and they've just arrived.

The cuteness is just unreal! 🥰

ceebee21 · 27/06/2020 14:11

Just marking my place xx

MaverickDanger · 27/06/2020 14:30

15+4 and feeling a chub because I’ve put on 9lbs. Lockdown hasn’t helped, as I would walk 4 miles per day as part of my commute - now it’s 13 steps downstairs.

My midwife asked me to start eating breakfast and increase my calories (previously about 1400 a day) to 1800 so not surprised I’ve gained weight.

Trying to be conscious about what I eat & still being active (when work isn’t so busy) as I really don’t want to gain loads and loads!

I’ve bought a couple of maternity bits for me and won a few babygrows and cardigans on eBay at 99p. My DM has started buying loads so I’ve had to tell her to buy some things that will be useful past just the newborn stage!

Absolutely no clue with prams! I reckon a travel system for ease, but I don’t currently drive so when I do, I’m likely to want a small car with an equally small boot!

Hanrora06 · 27/06/2020 15:14

Hi everyone!

I'm now no longer sure where I am- either week 14 or 15 depending on if I use my ovulation-based due date or scan due date 🤣 I'm just going on somewhere around 19th-26th December as they're the two dates I've been given. Figure it doesn't hugely matter but I've been using those 'week by week's guides and I wonder a) what fruit my baby actually resembles and b) if they really can hear me!

I have no idea about prams at all. One of my friends had a baby who is now around 18 months and she basically just uses a sling... wondering what I can get away with pram-wise, if I definitely need one or what the alternatives are... shall have to investigate!

Yellowbeansontoast · 27/06/2020 21:11

Also haven't gained any weight, but somehow feel so much bigger!? I'm putting it down to my body swapping muscle for fat, feeling so much weaker and unfit since I had to stop training with this little one (was training for an ironman pre-pregnancy so didn't think it'd be wise to carry on once I found out Halo)

emmalily9 · 27/06/2020 22:23

Has anyone had any discussions with their midwife regarding anti-D injections? I have to have one at 28 weeks and she said if I had any bleeding or any abdominal trauma eg something like walking into a door handle I needed to get in touch with the MAU for an extra injection. Well I thought I'm pretty careful so shouldn't be an issue, fast forward just over 24 hours, I'm dropping my sisters birthday present off and my 5 year old nephew got too excited and managed to elbow me in the stomach. It didn't hurt but I just don't know whether that classes as trauma or not? Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? When she said it yesterday thought it'd be clear cut as to what would be trauma but not I'm not so sure

SettyBuarez · 27/06/2020 22:40

@emmalily9 I've got to have the anti-D too. I would say ring your midwife/triage/MAU and ask them. They might recommend you go in and get the injection as a precaution anyway. My midwife included falls in the possible traumas, which I'm worried about as I'm prone to tripping over fresh air sometimes!

Natt99 · 27/06/2020 23:05

@emmalily9 I would definitely ring and check as the bleeding could be internal and you don't know about it, any cross over is a risk.
Hope you're ok xx
I've got to have anti d too but in my area they do a dna test to check if the baby is also rhesus negative and then if it is you don't have to have the injection. Shame they don't do that everywhere as it would put peoples minds at rest knowing if you were compatible

LoveSunshine01 · 28/06/2020 10:25

Afraid I don't know anything about anti-D

I do however definitely know that the baby has been kicking or punching me though - I got it much much stronger yesterday, even DH could feel it! So exciting! 15 weeks today!

Though I've been wondering about the dating scans - both of us are on the short side, so if the baby is genetically small does that affect the dates or does it not have an impact at the 12 week scan?

djmbaker · 28/06/2020 10:49

Morning girls!
I've been for my scan today, all was great. Baby was not playing though and at first was all scrunched up in a corner, then after a bit of wriggling decided to lie down but on its front 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
We got a great look at its spine and brain development though which was unbelievable.
I feel like it's all real now.. it's all happening. So that's nice ❤️

SettyBuarez · 28/06/2020 11:06

@LoveSunshine01 Anti-D is just if you have rhesus negative blood. If the baby has positive blood then your body will basically start to attack their blood so the anti-D is to stop that happening. As for the baby being small, I think there's an average range that it should fall into and if the staff have any concerns about baby's growth you might get more scans to monitor it.

@Natt99 That seems like a good way of doing it! I've got the injection at 28 weeks and was told they'll take some blood from the cord after birth and test that and I'll get another injection within 24 hours if baby is positive. It's amazing how much this stuff varies by trust.

@djmbaker Aww that's exciting! Glad everything went well.

Jasminex1 · 28/06/2020 12:10

@Natt99 I've got the same with the anti-d, did they tell you when they would do the test? I've got to wait until my 20 week appointment now which seems so far away!

@emmalily9 I hope everything was ok! I had the in laws dog jump on me at 13 weeks - paw to the stomach - and worried about it until I checked with the midwife so worth giving them a call x
