Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

I’ve got O- blood but I haven’t been told anything about an anti-D injection! Guess it’s nothing to worry about as I don’t need it now but I’ll mention it at my next appointment just in case it’s been overlooked by mistake

PocoyoandEllie · 28/06/2020 13:27

I didnt have any anti D injection in 2014 with my DS but they tested his blood when he was born and he was the same as me so didn’t need an injection. I have had the letter this time to have the injection though.

Natt99 · 28/06/2020 14:33

@Jasminex1 that's good you'll also get the dna test. The midwife said it's usually at the 16 week appointment where they test and you get the jab at 20+ weeks (sorry can't remember exact one). However if the 16 week isn't f2f I'll also be tested later.
@PocoyoandEllie I think with first pregnancies it's more of a precaution to get the jab as it's supposed to affect 2nd pregnancies+ more as there's more likely to have been a blood exchange.
It's so cool how they've basically eradicated rhesus disease, apparently in the 50's it was really dangerous and women had to get blood transfusions every few weeks!

PocoyoandEllie · 28/06/2020 15:25

Wow @Natt99 I had no idea about that! I have my consultant appointment on the 7th so will ask then as my midwife never rang me for my 16 week appointment x

viixie · 28/06/2020 15:36

Has anyone felt anything yet ? I haven't felt a thing and I keep worrying if it's okay in there.

Bumble84 · 28/06/2020 15:41

@viixie I haven’t felt anything either. Occasionally I get a warm feeling quite low down and I wonder if that could be something but in reality o think I’m just making it up in my head!

MaverickDanger · 28/06/2020 16:36

I’ve not felt anything & just feel bloated so don’t even feel pregnant!

Just had a good chat on FaceTime with my SIL who is due 4 months before us. They know what they are having, so we were chatting about names to make sure they don’t use our faves & vice versa.

We’ve come up with two boys names and two girls names, and a “pool” of middle names, so think we’ve got some good options for when we meet he/she!

MaverickDanger · 28/06/2020 16:38

We’ve got loads of other family members & friends pregnant & due before us (about 5 babies to be born this year!) and we’ve said that we will still use these names regardless of if they are used by others.

Just wanted to check in with SIL as having two grandkids with the same name would be ridiculous Grin

Luckily we’ve got similar styles but not the same names.

PocoyoandEllie · 28/06/2020 17:09

I haven’t felt anything yet at 15+1 at my scan she did say my placenta position would mean I might not feel movements as strongly (forget the name) I am feeling so poorly, had a phonecall with out of hours gp who said it sounds like I have a uti and can go and pick some anti biotics up, so bloated and can hardly eat. I am really worrying about everything being ok in there 😩

december2020 · 28/06/2020 17:22

Every once in a while I think I can feel a faint fluttery movement but then I think it's all in my head!

How is everyone today? I've had a bit of a lazy day 😞 which I'm feeling quite guilty for.

Rnic1x · 28/06/2020 17:34

Has anybody being pregnant has any intolerance they didn't usually have? I think I've become either gluten or wheat intolerant everytime I have it I'm in absolutely agony and have the worst stomach all night... Never had this problem before being pregnant though...

OP posts:
LoveSunshine01 · 28/06/2020 21:52

@Rnic1x I think I'm a bit more sensitive to wheat than before in that makes me bloat worse than any other foods. I wouldn't say it's bad enough call it an intolerance but I am eating it less now.

Saggydoll · 29/06/2020 08:07

Hi.. im 16 weeks tomorrow and im sure i felt a teeny tiny kick last night then like a couple of bubbles... it got me so excited, hoping to feel more xx

calipoppy · 29/06/2020 08:12

I've been feeling movements on and off for a week or so! It's lovely but then it makes me worry when I don't feel it again for a few days so you can't win!

Starting to look at Moses baskets, has anyone decided what to go for or anyone who's not a first time mum got any tips? 🙂

december2020 · 29/06/2020 08:15

@calipoppy at the moment I'm thinking maybe one of those next to me cribs and then a cot that can become a toddler bed for their room once they're old enough to sleep there.

It does feel a bit of a mine field trying to navigate through all the baby products and what you actually need!

Rnic1x · 29/06/2020 08:23

I've been feeling bubbles and flutters for the past few days more so in the middle of the night which stops me sleeping 😂 I can't help but concentrate on them more then hours go by 🤦🏻‍♀️ such a cute feeling though.

I know this is very selfish of me but my god I'm so thankful the weather has gone bad 😂 I couldn't hack the heat anymore... Roll on winter ❄️

Nic2908 · 29/06/2020 09:41

@Rnic1x I am with you on the weather, I was a mess both physically and mentally.
I've got a 16 week scan tomorrow at wtw. I am so so anxious. I'm pretty sure my bump has deflated too, hoping it's just the bloat that's finally gone.

emmalily9 · 29/06/2020 10:15

@SettyBuarez @Natt99 @Jasminex1 thanks for the support. Spoke with the midwife and she was lovely but said not to worry. It’s for things more major but it made me feel a lot better.

I’m desperate to be able to feel baby. I think it will settle my anxiety once I can feel it, so exciting for those of you who can feel baby already.

Countdown is now on for our scan on Saturday. Can’t wait to see baby again and find out what we’re having

Bumble84 · 29/06/2020 10:23

@calipoppy we’re going to buy a cotbed and probably a next to me type crib for our bedroom and also a Moses basket for during the day naps. Might seem excessive but I’m not really wanted to carry a crib up and down stairs for baby’s naps especially if I end up having a c-section. I’ve seen Moses baskets for about £40 so for ease I think it’s worth it. I’m also planning on having a changing mat and box with all the bits and bobs in the living area and a main changing table in the baby’s room.

calipoppy · 29/06/2020 10:38

@bumble84 I'm so glad you said that as that's what I had also been considering but was thinking is that too many beds for one baby 😂 but I had exactly the same thought process as you!

Natt99 · 29/06/2020 10:57

Glad all's ok @emmalily9 that's good to know as I'm quite clumsy!
No movement for me either. 15 weeks tomorrow but I hardly look pregnant at all now. Weeks 9 and 10 I was bigger so assume that was just bloat and carbs 😂
I'm sure I won't be wishing I was bigger towards the end

emmalily9 · 29/06/2020 11:02

@Natt99 she said it's for times like when you've had a car accident, door slamming into stomach or other major trauma so I felt a tad silly asking about arms 😂

Natt99 · 29/06/2020 11:24

@emmalily9 aww bless you! It's better to be safe than sorry though 💕 bet they get all sorts so don't worry x

Bumble84 · 29/06/2020 14:24

Has anyone given any thought to when to start Mat leave? My holiday year runs to the end of the calendar year and I have loads of holidays and wondered if I could start official Mat leave in 2021 but I’m due 23rd Dec so I don’t know if they’d let me do that. Just feels like I’d miss out on a lot of public holidays if I went pre Christmas
