Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

@djmbaker what have they told you to do? Mine has always been hyper but I'm panicking for Saturday 😂 they told me to drink full sugar drink and eat choc half hour before xx

@katbaby awww I'm sorry it's come back 😭 hopefully it doesn't stick around too long.

I've bought Moses basket already got a good deal so it's not too early we have 3 bedrooms so it's easy to store in one of the spares until we need it. I'd say go for it xx

Yay @december2020 that's exciting!!! All in the same weekend 😍😍😍

Those of you who are doing the gender scans, are you just going to let them tell you.. are you planning something for families?? I kind of don't want the scanning lady to just say "boy.. girl" but then as I've said families are awkward for us.. but I still want to make a bit of a fuss,.. I need to think! I've got to know the girls quite well at the clinic and they have said they would help us ... 🤔

Bless you @Katbaby .. I now get night time nausea.. I get to about 4pm and I'm wiped out with it 😔 at least no sickness?

djmbaker · 30/06/2020 13:19

@Rnic1x eat a good meal 2 hours before... then have a cold drink 15 minutes before the scan.. go for a 5 minute walk around the block before the scan .. and massage my tummy whilst playing soothing music 😂

Mine was active just the wrong way round 😂😂 it was kicking it's legs and arms but on its tummy 🙈 typical.. when we first got there the baby was sat in the corner with its head down and it's hand over its face .. looked like it was sad 😩

Natt99 · 30/06/2020 13:22

Aww that's so cool that the gender scans are all so close together 😊
I was planning on asking the sonographer to write the gender down so we could find out at home in private. I know what you mean about not wanting the scanner to tell you, I think it'll be nicer although it will be one looooong journey home.
@Katbaby hope it goes once and for all soon x

PocoyoandEllie · 30/06/2020 13:45

My gender scan is Monday 6th, hoping they can tell! I still think boy, does anyone else have any vibes they already know?

makingababy · 30/06/2020 17:10

@PocoyoandEllie I’d sent my scan into the Nub Whisperer who said boy. I then sent it to the Nubologist who said the nub wasn’t visible, so I don’t know who was right 😂

Before I had the scan I kept calling the wee thing ‘he’ or ‘him’ by accident - not a strong feeling but just consistently saying ‘he... I mean he or she’ - but I doubt that means much.

I have a gender scan booked for 18 Jul when I should be 17+3 (I wanted to make sure whatever is there I’d definitely visible! 😂)

I hope today’s scans have been great x

djmbaker · 30/06/2020 17:43

@PocoyoandEllie my partner and I keep thinking it's a girl, we have no real reasoning behind that though? We both just keep saying it to each other.

It makes me laugh how people who haven't even seen me, are sending me texts now they know saying "I think your having a boy" HOW.. you haven't even seen me for 4 months!! 🙈🙈

MaverickDanger · 30/06/2020 18:13

We keep on saying “he” too. Dunno why!

Our only local scan place still isn’t open for gender scans, so will have to wait until our anatomy one. If they open in the next 2 weeks then we might book one, I’m dying to know.

We’ve got names sorted either way, I just see us with a boy first!

Natt99 · 30/06/2020 18:42

@djmbaker that's so funny! I had 4 people say they "knew" I was pregnant. How?! Do they surveillance or something. Like you, haven't seen them for 4 months 😂

Nub whisperer said a girl for me but before that I was convinced it was a boy so who knows!

Bumble84 · 30/06/2020 19:17

I keep saying ‘he’ as well but my husband thinks ‘she’ so one of us will be right! I generally get these wrong so that probably means we’re having a girl!

I’m now looking into ante natal classes (mainly to make friends!) I’ve found a Daisy Foundation class that’s local. I don’t know if they’re nationwide or not, going to do 2x 6 week blocks nearer delivery date. Fingers crossed they might even be able to be in person by then!

LoveSunshine01 · 30/06/2020 20:05

@Natt99 I've had loads of people say they 'knew' too! I asked how and they said I was glowing or it always in my demeanour Hmm I think they might have noticed that I'm getting chubbier Grin

Anyone else feel like their baby has actually set up house inside their bladder?? Feel like I'm weeing constantly!

Helski123 · 30/06/2020 20:46

Wow that's alot of catching up to do. Great to see the newer scan pics, it is amazing how quickly they are developing now.

I've gradually been telling people over the last couple of weeks, absolutely loved telling my family and close friends. Decided last night to do a group message to everyone at work to let them all know. I wasn't too bothered about telling them all but I know a few would be offended if I didn't or if they knew that other people knew first. So today I've had the whole "I've known for weeks" (honestly, I think one person genuinely found out before me) and "I thought your belly was getting bigger" (ummm, thanks but I don't have a bump yet 😳) or "I'm praying for you" (presumably because I'm living in sin and having a child out of wedlock and he's convinced I'm going straight to hell). Oh well, better get used to everyone having a comment or opinion on my pregnancy, I'm sure there's worse to come 😂

Helski123 · 30/06/2020 20:47

Also thanks @raffat89 on the bank holiday info, didn't realise we got these on top of maternity leave. Bonus!

Helski123 · 30/06/2020 20:49

@LoveSunshine01 I actually feel like I'm peeing less atm, presumably baby is moving upwards and starting to give my bladder a break for the moment???

LoveSunshine01 · 30/06/2020 21:01

@Helski123 I'm so jealous! Hopefully that will be me soon...

MaverickDanger · 30/06/2020 21:03

Jeez @Helski123 what a barrel of laughs they sound.

I’ve basically told all the people I was excited to tell, and now left with those that I know I need to tell cos they will be offended otherwise, but that I’m not that fussed about telling. Work included!

Nic2908 · 30/06/2020 21:09

Gosh lots of activity on here today. @Nat99 it was a 16 week scan today. Baby yet again did not want to play ball. Was face down with face snuggled into my uterus!! Bloody baby. I want some nice clear pictures. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time which was magical. We already knew it was a boy but the women confirmed for us. I cant believe how quick the babies are changing and growing. @katbaby buy things when you feel the time is right for you, deals are great at the moment so make the most of it. Show us some pictures. Cant wait to see everyone's nurseries and things. Eeeekkkkk. @Bumble84 did you just google to find antenatal classes??

Bumble84 · 30/06/2020 21:31

@nic2908 yeah I did a google search and daisy came up. My friends have also went to daisy classes in a different town so I’ve heard they’re quite good. Here’s hoping!

december2020 · 01/07/2020 07:37

I've told my line manager and HR but otherwise no one from work.

I'm hoping to get away with it as long as I can, or until I need to go to the office an can't hide the bump any longer. 😬

Has anyone started nursery decor planning?

Natt99 · 01/07/2020 08:02

@Nic2908 aww glad the gender was confirmed, imagine if they said girl 😬 because I'm finding out at 17 weeks I'm
going to pretend I don't know at the 20 week one to see if the match up 😂
Aww sorry he was playing up, mine was the same at the 12 week. I've made a note of all of the tips on here to get them in a good position, very useful!

djmbaker · 01/07/2020 08:16

@Nic2908 haha mine was the same. Face down 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ but then did one little turn and was face on to the ultrasound thing and looked like an alien.. so all the photos are awful 😂 I'm going to have to follow all the tips for my gender scan!!

daydreamerfordays · 01/07/2020 11:28

Hi ladies! Please may I tag along?

I'm 14 weeks today and this morning was the first time I've not been sick since 5.5 weeks... trying not to get my hopes up too much as know it could come back with a vengeance tomorrow.

So lovely to read all the updates of people around the same dates xx

Marshmallow1102 · 01/07/2020 11:54

Hello lovelies! Lots to catch up on here but feel like I've not got much to report myself!
Love seeing more scan pictures, I'm not going to have another scan until 20 weeks, don't know how I'm going to cope! My latest lot if sickness tablets seem to be working, thank goodness, don't think I could cope feeling so sick at 17+ weeks!

@december2020 I have been doing all of the nursery planning! Picked out a few possible paint colours, a definite wallpaper and cot. My mum is already crocheting a mobile that will go beautifully with everything too! We're planning to use an existing chest of drawers with just a changing mat on top instead of getting a changing table and there's already a wardrobe too! The room in question is our "junk room" at present so needs some serious tlc before it's ready to become a nursery! Hubby has been doing professional qualifications recently but that's finished now so we're finally ready to start attacking the room, get it emptied, clean and painted! 👏 So excited for it all!

LoveSunshine01 · 01/07/2020 11:56

What's everyone's plans for Christmas this year then? My due date (for what it's worth) is the 20th, I can't work out whether it would be easier for us to go and stay with family or for them to come to us!
