@Sweetpea1985 definitely something to get checked out! How are your iron levels normally? If mine get really low I get this as well and get out of breath going up a flight of stairs!

Sweetpea1985 · 29/06/2020 14:45

They are normally fine, they didn't pick anything up on bloods at my 12 week scan but my 20 week is next week maybe they'll do bloods again?

bluebell94 · 29/06/2020 15:19

@HarrietM87 that's good to know. I was surprised to find mine was anterior too as also been feeling movements since 16w but always in the same lower left spot so guess it explains why I've not felt much anywhere else yet

@Sweetpea1985 I've been more short of breath throughout but my iron levels are borderline and I have low BP anyway, but this week (20) my pregnancy app said shortness of breath may become more apparent as baby is moving up - could be to do with that?

LozEliza · 29/06/2020 17:33

It's good to see others are getting rescans where needed. The bottom of my baby's spine couldn't be seen but the sonographer said no rescans due to COVID 😡 I might speak to my midwife about it and see what her thoughts are

Pushingnic · 29/06/2020 19:25

@LozEliza I think you should! Surely that the point of the anomaly scan to check everything! Mine today said she didn’t see heart well enough to tick the box that it’s been checked and said it was very common to have people come back for things. Covid should not impact that at all it’s important.

Sweetpea1985 · 29/06/2020 19:35

What I dont get is that from saturday we can go to the pub with 6 friends but my DH still cant come to a scan with me?? It seems stupid!

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/06/2020 19:38

Some trusts seem to be allowing partners now. Someone I know in Devon was allowed her husband to the 20 week scan today. It’s really inconsistent.

MrsR87 · 29/06/2020 19:40

@LozEliza

Things like this make me mad. It shouldn’t impact things like that!!! 😡

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 29/06/2020 21:50

@LozEliza definitely contact the midwife and get that sorted as you are entitled to a rescan, the sonographer should have demanded you have one!

wannabebump · 30/06/2020 05:46

@LozEliza absolutely speak to your midwife for a rescan. At my 20 week scan, the first thing I was told is if they can't see something to tick the box, I'd be rebooked. 2 other ladies were rebooked for anomaly scams whilst I was waiting in reception x

Anomaly scan this morning and feeling nervous. And annoyed at how many people have asked me about the ‘gender scan’. It’s not a bloody gender scan! The sex is a nice thing to have at the end of a scan checking my baby is developing properly. Why would the priority be it’s sex?

AnxiousLady1 · 30/06/2020 09:19

Best of luck @BuffaloCauliflower. I'm sure all will be well.

I've had similar gender queries. To be honest, before getting pregnant I had no idea about anomaly scans and was generally a bit naive about pregnancy. A lot of people still seem surprised when I tell them the next scan is called an anomaly one, and how I've held off telling a lot of people until after then.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/06/2020 09:25

Thanks @AnxiousLady1. These are people who’ve had babies so can’t be that oblivious. We haven’t done any ‘announcements’ yet, waiting for this, but have told all the people we see properly

Beccarans89 · 30/06/2020 09:51

@BuffaloCauliflower good luck with your scan this morning, I have mine this afternoon too!! Feels like a big milestone doesn't it! Xx

wannabebump · 30/06/2020 09:57

@BuffaloCauliflower @Beccarans89 good luck with your scans today x

Thanks all 🤞🏻

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. So yesterday morning and this morning I've woken up with little white stains on the bed where my boobs have been.... (been sleeping in just knickers coz of the heat)
so are my boobs leaking already?? But only at night? Nothing happens during the day. Is anyone else getting this yet?

FilthyforFirth · 30/06/2020 11:18

Hi ladies, I could do with your advice. In Jan I applied for a job. Different role in same org. I have only just now got an interview for the role (lots of reasons for delay). It is going to take place next week over skype. Would you disclose you are pregnant? I really dont want to, but am fearful it makes me look bad... What would you do?

FilthyforFirth · 30/06/2020 11:20

Obviously, I wasnt pregnant when I applied for the role, nor would have been if offered and started it, though would have been about a month later. I am still 6 weeks away from having to legally disclose though my line manager has known for a long time.

MissingMo · 30/06/2020 13:09

Had the anomaly scan today. All looking well and found out the sex. A boy! Big surprise for me but everyone else thought a boy. Managed to get all the measurements, thought I'd have to go for a walk at one point as he kept hiding away deeper but got there. Very excited.

Pinktruffle · 30/06/2020 13:39

@FilthyforFirth personally, I wouldn't say anything because it shouldn't factor in to whether they offer you the job or not but I think it does. I was one of two members of staff going for a promotion at my workplace last week, had my interview by Skype last week but didn't get offered the job. The feedback I got as to why I didn't get it was very vague and I'm close friends with the lady who did get get - when we had a chat about our answers in the interview it became obvious to me and her that me being going on maternity to leave next year did factor in the decision.

SpiderStan · 30/06/2020 13:45

Hello November Due Date ladies!

I'm due 18/11/2020 with my first.

Currently 19+6 and my 20 week scan is tomorrow.

I've felt movements since about week 17, they are getting stronger every week and I am noticing them more frequently.

I've had all the crappy symptoms; nausea, huge sore boobs, outbreaks of spots, bleeding gums, sensitivity to smells and tastes, mood swings, crying over nothing, growing pains, nesting, hair sprouting in places it's never been before, exhaustion, peeing very often and sometimes nearly not making it to the toilet, cramping, early Braxton Hicks, backache, bloating, constipation, burning feet, headaches, dizziness, blocked sinuses.

The only thing I haven't had is food cravings.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/06/2020 13:53

Scan all fine! Developing brilliantly, no concerns, and it’s a boy! I was right. Feel a bit apprehensive about parenting a boy as I’ve never been one, but DH is a lovely boy and I have many lovely boys in the family so I’m sure it’ll be fine!

My placenta is posterior and slightly covering my cervix at the moment, so have another scan booked for 36 weeks to check it’s moved up. Baby is also currently breech but not too concerned as I’m sure he’ll move loads over the next few months. Feels a bit of a weight off to get this far, like I can properly start planning for his arrival now Smile

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 30/06/2020 14:32

@buffalocauliflower congrats! My baby girl is breech - still plenty of time to move :-)

FilthyforFirth · 30/06/2020 14:39

Thanks for your reply @Pinktruffle, sorry about what happened with your promotion. It is scandalous what they can get away with. I think I am leaning towards not saying anything. I just worry about souring a relationship with a new line manager right off the bat...
