@Sweetpea1985 yeh I’m the same. Have a couple of hours a day where I just seem to be up and down repeatedly. We need a downstairs loo.

Sweetpea1985 · 28/06/2020 21:26

@Pink15 I've just finished a 7 day course of antibiotics for a uti about 3 days ago, maybe it's just residual peeing, I just thought it'd be done by now. It doesnt burn when I do pee though any more.
Maybe I should just bug my gp with it

Pink15 · 28/06/2020 21:27

@Sweetpea1985 yeah maybe get it rechecked incase it was the wrong antibiotics? X

Sweetpea1985 · 28/06/2020 21:32

@Pink15 yeah possibly, at least I know it's not just me apparently utis are quite common in pregnancy.
Things are just sent to try us more when we are pregnant I think 😂

Pink15 · 28/06/2020 21:39

@Sweetpea1985 I know as if we need anything extra to worry about 😂

Fouryearslater · 28/06/2020 22:50

@Wigglebum87 only lots of apple juice, POM drugs and suppositories sorted my anti sickness drug induced constipation. It’s why I’ve been wary of taking the iron. You have my sympathies as it’s awful.

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 29/06/2020 07:59

I've had to take 2 paracetamol this morning for a very bad migraine behind both my eyes. Scan is at half 9. I'm worried now I shouldn't have taken anything?

HarrietM87 · 29/06/2020 09:25

Thanks for starting the new thread!

Can’t remember who posted it now but yes I am totally exhausted. Still need a nap most days!

TangBloodyFastic · 29/06/2020 09:44

Place marking!
Hope everyone is staying well! Half way/nearly half way now - where has the time gone!!! 😱
Not been on here much as life has been a bit full on with a house renovation and working full time!
Am now 19+3 and have just started feeling kicks! I'm not a sentimental/emotional person but it took me by surprise it certainly made me 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I was smiling constantly for ages - what a lovely feeling and such a relief when you feel human again and no movement just seems to makes you worry unnecessarily.

Can't wait for more kicks now 💗💙

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/06/2020 10:28

@OurLittlePumpkin1991 paracetamol is fine, hope your scan went well Smile

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/06/2020 10:30

I’m definitely feeling something move now too (20+3) felt like something little turning over in there this morning. No way you’d be able to feel anything from the outside though, that’s a way off. Hopefully all will be well at the scan tomorrow 🤞🏻

wannabebump · 29/06/2020 10:53

@OurLittlePumpkin paracetamol is fine, how was your scan x

@Wigglebum87 I second prune juice and also whole prunes, high fibre breakfast cereals (eg muesli, rolled oat porridge), and a tablespoon or two of linseeds (also known as flaxseeds) daily. Generally increasing fibre in your diet by having lots of "skin on" fruits and vegetables (eg berries, peas, legumes, sweetcorn), eating "roughage" like leafy greens that have a lot of stalk (cabbage, kale, broccoli), having wholegrain bread and pasta, and increasing your water intake will all help a bit. If you're still struggling, then trying something like lactulose or movicol in the first instance may help get things moving. Or if that doesn't work then trying more hardcore suppositories from the GP, before trying enemas as a last resort. Hope that helps!

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 29/06/2020 12:09

Another little baby girl here guys! 😍💗Scan was amazing! We were both expecting it to be a boy! I am in complete shock and complete happiness. We have a girls name that we have loved for several years.
I have to go back next Monday as my baby is breech transverse and was in a little ball so made it difficult to see spine and neck properly! So I get to see her again in one week 😍

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/06/2020 12:27

Great news @OurLittlePumpkin1991!

Sweetpea1985 · 29/06/2020 12:30

@OurLittlePumpkin1991 glad all went well!
So many girls on here!

Pushingnic · 29/06/2020 12:42

Had 20 week scan this morning! Having a boy here! I also have to go back in couple of weeks as baby’s position made it hard for her to properly see heart and kidneys! Bit worrying but I’m trying not to worry too much!

OurLittlePumpkin1991 · 29/06/2020 12:56

Congratulations @pushingnic, don't worry. I felt the same as they couldn't get correct measurements of spine and neck, but feel reassured that they've caught that and are inviting you back to check all is OK. I'm sure it's fine and it's great they are being careful xx

bluebell94 · 29/06/2020 12:57

Good luck for all scans coming up and so lovely to see people have had good scans! Mine was last Monday, all went absolutely perfectly and didn't find out what we're having as wanting a surprise but the temptation was there! Have a private scan booked at WTTW on 18th July so DH can see baby too. He's been quite down over the past couple of weeks with corona and missing scans, it's all a bit rubbish isn't it. Though he has felt baby kicking a couple of times the past few days which has been lovely 🥰 and think it's helping it feel a bit more 'real' for him.
Only feeling movement down on the left side of my abdomen but I have an anterior placenta and there is a little gap there. As sonographer said my placenta is 'short and chunky' and doesn't cover the full front of my uterus. Hoping to feel more over the next couple of weeks 😄

TangBloodyFastic · 29/06/2020 13:20

Hi @bluebell94
Did they tell to about your placenta at the 20wk scan?
Mine is apparently anterior but that was confirmed at a 10wk scan but nothing mentioned at the 12wk NHS one

bluebell94 · 29/06/2020 13:44

Yes, at 20 week one Smile think they don't really bother much with placement of it before then as it stretches and moves about a bit as you grow in the earlier days but they can see a lot better now, mine wasn't mentioned at my 12w scan either.
I was asking about mine and the sonographer was great - mine is anterior high so will keep moving towards the top of my uterus as I grow.

bluebell94 · 29/06/2020 13:45

@TangBloodyFastic oops forgot to tag

HarrietM87 · 29/06/2020 13:51

I have an anterior placenta too, which surprised me as I’ve been feeling movements since 15 weeks! It’s very high apparently - almost at the top of the uterus - so not really blocking the “front” apparently. I specifically asked about it at my scan as I have a bit of a fear of having a back to back baby (more common with anterior placentas) but she said it probably wouldn’t affect things for me.

Sweetpea1985 · 29/06/2020 14:13

Not sure why but I seem to be struggling to catch my breath today feeling a bit tight around the chest area. Could this just be because baby is getting bigger? Is anyone else having this?

TangBloodyFastic · 29/06/2020 14:17

Thanks @bluebell94 I know to ask now next week Smile
The kicks are low down at the front under my belly button so can only assume the placenta is higher or has moved 👍🏻
