@MyGossip me too!! I'm in bits- went to the pharmacy today and he gave me lactolose to take - it's helped ease it a bit

@MyGossip yeah me too!! I'd go to the pharmacy and see what they'll give you! I'm going to go tomorrow

Hello all,

I am joining this thread as just found out I will also be due in March.
I am 31 and this is my first pregnancy. We conceived after 1 month of trying. Very shocked that it happened this quickly but excited all the same! Keeping my fingers crossed for the next few weeks.

Congratulations to everyone else who is also due in March 2021 :)

@peonyrose87 @KaptenKrusty glad I'm not the only one! This is awful 😢 and sorry to hear you are both suffering too! I'll definitely take a walk to the pharmacy this morning. Congrats on your BFP too @KaptenKrusty

@Rubyroo19 hubby and I are going to get a private scan for the same reasons too. Check bubs is ok and that hubby can see him/her in case he can't at our NHS.

@Firsttymmum Tell people your sickness is because you're now allergic to work 😂 We're still working from home for the foreseeable future (I've opted to go into the office to get me out of the flat, but no one else is there), so I should be ok to keep it quiet from everyone!

@MyGossip Good luck at the pharmacy - I haven't experienced constipation as such but very, very bloated!! Go for the Private early scan, it'll be worth it! But pick a good clinic, as I've heard some complaints about some of the clinics near me, about how their images aren't very clear.

Tecalina · 25/06/2020 06:08

A question to everyone - who have you told so far, about your pregnancy?

Report
MyGossip · 25/06/2020 06:18

@Tecalina yeh this isn't the nicest! I hoping today is the day. Just had weetabix, having a green tea (within the right guideline) and going to maybe go a run soon. It's very uncomfortable!!
Thanks for the scan advice. Luckily my best friend went for an early one last year to the same clinic and said it was great, so we've got a good recommendation there.

Hubby and I have told my sister and her husband (only because hubby works for them) and my best friend. What about you?

Report
Tecalina · 25/06/2020 06:37

@MyGossip Ah I miss running! I've been told I can't exercise (other than walk) until after my early scan, I feel like I'm ballooning up 😂 But I really hope it gets your insides moving 🤞🏻 That's great news about the clinic - How far along are you? Apologies if you've said it earlier on!

So far we've told our parents, my best friend (as she's a GP so has come in very handy!) and my boss, in case anything happens and I need a few days off!

Morning all Smile

Surprisingly feel normal this morning, still very bloated though but slept well despite the heat! How are you all feeling?

@Tecalina I have told my best friend, she lives a few hours away and is the only person who knows we have been TTC! I want to tell my mum soon, she will be so excited but I know she will tell other people and I don't want that! Even if she says she won't, she will be dropping hints all over the place!

Definitely booking an early scan for reassurance! We go on holiday in a months time and it's my 30th so debating whether to go before (will be between 6-7 weeks) or when we come back the weekend after - bet a week makes a big difference!

MyGossip · 25/06/2020 07:11

@Tecalina I'm not sure if it was the weetabix or green tea but constipation no more!! I would apologise but when you know you will have a watermelon sized child coming out your noonie, nothings TMI these days.
Oh really? Sorry to hear you can't run but walking is just as effective!!
And super handy that your best friend is a GP too! I haven't told my mum yet only because I'm the kindest way, she will be phoning me every day to ask how I am and I really don't need the fuss. I feel awful but it's the truth! Plus it would be nice to show her a scan picture.

I'm still very early, between 4-5 weeks. 🥰

@SK2970 how nice, a little baby moon!! Yeh I think an early scan is the way to go. For extra reassurance etc!!

@MyGossip glad something worked for you!! It's so uncomfortable.

@Tecalina we've told both sets of parents and my best friend. Purely because they were amazing when I lost our baby in January that we know we'd need the support again

Anyone else getting night sweats? I completely forgot I had them last time. Wakening up every night absolutely soaking and the sheets need changed 🤢 doesn't help that it's so warm just now anyway!

Report
MyGossip · 25/06/2020 07:49

@peonyrose87 thankfully no but we invested in a fan at the start of the good weather in May. We just keep it on all night at the bottom of our bed and it's actually super soothing. It's just a normal fan nothing fancy but does the trick! Maybe try that?

@MyGossip my OH is going to get one today as he couldn't deal with my heat last night 😂😂😂

Please tell me I'm not alone, in driving myself crazy! 🙈 I did a FRER Monday, very obvious line. Then a digital CB Tuesday 1-2 weeks, then a normal CB yesterday that came up instantly. I just feel this isn't enough to convince me, but obviously can't test every day 🤣 I have 1 FRER left, but AF isn't until the 26th by one app, but the 30th on another. I don't think the FRER would of been a strong line if i was due on the 30th. I don't know just want some reassurance I'm not going crazy 😫

Justkeepswimming91 · 25/06/2020 10:47

@bubblybon20 I am exactly the same! Still testing everyday even though I found out a week ago! My anxiety level is sky high!

Report
bubblybon20 · 25/06/2020 10:50

@Justkeepswimming91 it's crazy isn't it! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm just so worried of having a chemical, cause Ive tested before AF, and also had a MC in April at 8+4 weeks. Just so on edge! Hoping once AF date has passed I can relax slightly, although I can't imagine I will 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Justkeepswimming91 · 25/06/2020 10:53

@bubblybon20
So sorry for your loss :(.

We've booked an early scan for when I'll be 7+4 to try and get reassurance. I also have no symptoms which isnt helping me move past the constant testing :s

Are you planning on an early scan?

Report
peonyrose87 · 25/06/2020 10:53

@bubblybon20 I've done two FRER and a CB since I found out a week ago, and I have one CB left to do 🙈 I feel a bit better now that AF should have been and gone by now, but don't feel pregnant at all so it's playing on my mind!

@Tecalina I’ve told my parents and brothers (I am really close to my brothers) and we’re going to tell DH’s parents on Sunday when we see them but that’s it. I might tell my best friend when I’m a wee bit further along but before 12 weeks though for some reason I have this horrible feeling something will go wrong. I’ve no history of mc but in the back of my mind it just keeps nagging at me. I don’t think it helps I have zero symptoms so it doesn’t feel like it’s possible I’m pregnant 🙈

KaptenKrusty · 25/06/2020 11:04

Yay @MyGossip Glad something worked! The pharmacist I spoke to said - I’ll likely experience this constipation problem for the whole time - yay 🙃 hahah My face dropped!

Did anyone else self refer to the midwife? I sent my form in and they emailed me to say I will hear from them in 5 working days - day 5 today and I’ve heard nothing - do they send a letter or would I expect a call??

@Justkeepswimming91 yeah I think I will do, possibly around the 8 week mark if I get there.
@peonyrose87 I don't really have any symptoms either.. only headaches but that could be lack of caffeine as I've cut out all teas 🤣 and a sick sort of lump in my throat but that could be stress 🤣🤣 I would like some symptoms, would be reassuring a lot.. may regret saying that though if they appear all together haha x

@bubblybon20 you are not alone!! I have done multiple tests since finding out on Tuesday - AF not due for a few more days and I have three tests left so going to try hold off now until Monday and do one before ringing the GP and then might save the two in case I need them in the next few weeks!

I felt pregnant before today but symptoms seem to have eased today! Feel like I'm a bit over the shock but now getting way ahead of myself! I'm worried about the first appointment - am I expected to know where I want to have the baby?! There is a few hospitals around so how do you choose which one?! Would anybody consider having a home birth?

Report
bubblybon20 · 25/06/2020 11:41

@SK2970 ah least we're all in the same boat! I just caved and did my last FRER, now I'm really annoyed because it wasn't as dark as I wanted! 😟 hoping it's because it wasn't my FMU, and I've been drinking water and cranberry this morning lol. Now I need to get more 🙄😅 and no your not expected to know the first appointment, with my DS, they gave me plenty of time to think about it. I went with the closest to me, but defo the best one in the area x
