Hi all. Congratulations to everyone.
It’s moving to read everyone stories about what it’s taken to get here.
I am so happy to be a writing on a pregnancy thread but also I’m still too afraid to believe it.

@peonyrose87 I’m due the same day as you, and I had a missed miscarriage in February. So we’ve been on a similiar rollercoaster over this recent period. I’m over the moon to be pregnant but just so nervous. How are you feeling?
I took the test 6 days early so I’m telling myself to wait until at least till after my period is due to allow myself to get excited. But I’ve already spent most of the day thinking about names, what life will be like etc.

@Tecalina & @helsbubble17 - If we go from LMP I should be 8w1d and they have me scheduled for an ultrasound and blood draws. Since I’m considered a geriatric pregnancy (45 LOL), and high risk d/t previous miscarriage, and PCOS, I’ll probably end up with regular ultrasounds.

Congratulations to you all!

@knickknack30 The bloods are at the private clinic I've been using. I had to go private for my treatment as the NHS weren't/aren't accepting fertility referrals and I just couldn't wait any longer (I've already waited two years!)

@peonyrose87 I haven't felt nauseous at all, but I've heard it's more common around week 6, so hopefully I'll experience it in the next week or so (I never thought I'd want to feel nauseous 😂)

Thank you @BMWL, I should get my results a few hours after the test so fingers crossed!

Hi everyone , I got my BFP last week due 27th Feb going from my LMP . I had a chemical pregnancy in July last year. I’m 28 and have been trying to conceive for 11 months. Absolutely over the moon just hope everything is ok.

I’m also from the uk and will have to wait until 12 weeks for a scan unless I go private ! Seems ages !!!

@MayfliesX I'm so sorry to hear about your mmc, my fingers are tightly crossed for you that this time is successful!

@UhOhMa, it's a terrible term, "geriatric pregnancy", isn't it?! 8w1d, that's exciting! I think you're the furthest along in this group, you can tell us what to look forward to 😂😃

Again, congratulations everyone xxx

@MayfliesX congratulations!! It has been a rollercoaster for sure. I’m so happy to be pregnant again but like you I’m so nervous. I’m not sure I’ll relax until way later in the pregnancy, if ever! But I’ve also spent the day thinking about names etc again-I’m not sure how you can stop yourself doing that. I tested four days before AF was due (it’s due tomorrow) so I’m also worried it’ll be a chemical. I wish I could turn my brain off!

@Tecalina congratulations! i didn’t get symptoms really until 6 weeks the last time I was pregnant!

@Firsttymmum Welcome! I don't know when my due date is but I think it's around the 26th, so a similar date to you! I'm nervous about a chemical pregnancy, if you don't mind me asking (and feel free to tell me to bugger off!), what symptoms did you have/not have?

Xx

@Tecalina I don’t mind sharing , with my chemical pregnancy it happened around the time my period was due . I had symptoms, sore boobs and bloating about 4/5 days prior to my period then they just disappeared over night . I tested a few days after the missed period and the line was so so faint . I had horrendoes cramping , with not much bleeding which was mad as the pain was terrible. The gp confirmed it for me that day it was a early miscarriage (CP) .This time is totally different I had a faint positive 11DPO and 12dpo clear positive with a clear blue test so I’m pretty positive this isn’t going to be a chemical pregnancy. I suppose we just have to relax and be positive. We should be excited but it’s hard to at such an early stage, I’m the same!

Something good came from this global pandemic after all huh!

It's so crazy how much your mind goes into overdrive! I try not to get excited but then I just think it's only natural. And if something is going to wrong then it's going to go wrong regardless of my excitement. I say that now but in 5 mins I'll be swinging the other way lol!
@peonyrose87 if you find the way to turn the brain off please let me know Grin
@Firsttymmum I really hope this time everything goes well. There are some private clinics near me where you can get a one off early scan for around 60 pounds from 6 weeks. It might put your mind at rest. I'm definitely considering it xox

@knickknack30 @Firsttymmum congratulations!! Sorry for your CP @Firsttymmum but thank you for sharing your story! I'm definitely going to get an early scan around 7/8 weeks, and probably 10 weeks just for reassurance. I had a scan at 7 weeks last time where everything was great and then another at 11 weeks which is when I found out about my MMC, but I'm so glad I had the early one and have a picture of my little bean before everything went wrong.

Hi everyone, hope it's ok to join. Congratulations to everyone!
I got a BFP earlier in the week and have done a few tests as I just can't get it into my head that it came back positive! Husband thinks I'm going a bit mad with testing 😁
Estimated due date is 25th February which makes me 4.5 weeks and this is my 1st pregnancy. Heading back to work tomorrow after being furloughed since March so worrying about that a bit, I've let my boss know due to the risks at work.

UhOhMa · 21/06/2020 20:52

Forgot to add, I’m from the United States. I have pretty good health insurance, so I’m sure they won’t fight me on the scans.

Everything I’ve read says from 45 on, there’s a 50/50 chance of miscarriage through 18 weeks. With my previous miscarriage prior to my pregnancy with my son, it was chemical. Found out on a Thursday (BFP & quick run for lab work), then by Monday it was over. This one is definitely hanging around, but I’ve got pretty good cramping and my lower abdomen is very tender, almost like pulled muscles, deep muscle pain. So I’m not sure what’s going on there, if it’s even normal.

I’m considering it too....I will wait until I’m 6/7 weeks and then see. I think I would book one about 8 weeks so it’s not too early!

@Tecalina it says on the clear blue test 1-2 weeks? Who knows I will ring up now

Hello ladies,

Hope it's ok for me to join too please?

Got my BFP after ttc baby #1 since January and still in a little daze that it's happened! Happy daze that is!!

One of my apps have got me down at die 28th Feb and the other 6th March 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I'm guessing around about then.

Not had many symptoms at all even during the TWW apart from bad bloating and feeling like I had a UTI. Although I have been having mini cramps but nothing too sore and looked online and seems normal.

@peonyrose87 hello 😘 nice to see you on another board too!!

Anyways, looking forward to chatting to you all and wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy ❤️

@Firsttymmum Thank you so much for sharing your experience, I'm really glad you've got your strong positive result now! You're right, it's great to have good news following this pandemic nightmare! Just waiting for the clinic to get back to me regarding my 6/7 week scan. I'm definitely having one of those!

@helsbubble17 Did you speak to your GP? I'm also panicking about putting on weight! I've yo-yo'd a lot in the past and can gain the pounds so easily! I'm 6ft and a size 12 now, I've always been very self-conscious of my height so went I inevitable get bigger, I'll feel like a giant!!

@peonyrose87 and @MyGossip I'm intrigued, how do you two know each other?! 🙂

Welcome everyone else!!!xx
