Sorry to hear this @Littlebee1990 Take care of yourself. Just to let you know HCG can take some time to completely leave your system so I would wait a little longer before testing to prevent confusion.

@bubblybon20 Just vit D and folic acid ATM, but I will get a multivitamin when I’m further on as I struggle to take huge tablets during MS!

I know you wrote this days ago but thanks @Tecalina Good luck to you too especially after your struggles to get here. I’m not prepared for my bad symptoms to hit me soon but I know there’s no avoiding it! Lol.

I'm 5+2 today. I've had cramps for days, but got woken up by horrible ones last night. The last time I had that pain was when I had just found out about the MMC. I've had this pain before during AF, pregnancy AND MC so it could mean anything, which is annoying.

Regarding early scans, I didn’t see the point of one which, in my case, was a big mistake last time as it would have saved me a lot of time and pointless suffering. This time, however, I’m still not going to have one as I don’t want to see the baby/heartbeat and let my guard down until the 12 week scan at least.

bubblybon20 · 30/06/2020 18:55

Ah thanks everyone! Might have to invest in some vitamin D tabs too then! 😀 x

Hopesandrainbows · 30/06/2020 18:59

@Carmelova85 @Solid10

I'm from Surrey as well! 😊

MyGossip · 30/06/2020 19:03

@Littlebee1990 oh hun ❤️❤️ sending you so much love and strength. Hoping that it's the latter and AF disappears as quickly as it came xx

MrsBlue1986 · 30/06/2020 19:03

@Fredthefrog hey! No idea on the risk assesment at school. There will only be approx 9 kids in school in the classroom, so maybe its less risky? I just didnt want to tell them about the pregnancy just yet...as its still early! X

MyGossip · 30/06/2020 19:06

And congrats to those with their BFPs! ❤️

Fredthefrog · 30/06/2020 19:16

@MrsBlue1986 if you decide not to tell them (I feel the same but my job is a bit different so no contact until at least sept) you could go in, keep 2m away from kids, windows open and lots of handwashing. You've no more chance of catching it then last time you were in. If you really arent comfortable then you could say you were ill but in my area you'd be expected to get tested etc. Chexk out the advice from the nhs and see how you feel.

Carmelova85 · 30/06/2020 19:16

@Hopesandrainbows yay! That's great! Have you contacted the hospital? I've been advised by my GP to choose the hospital and book my appointment to do the scan around 11 week.

Hopesandrainbows · 30/06/2020 19:33

@Carmelova85 well I'm waiting at the moment as I'm having a scan and HCG test on Friday at the Early pregnancy unit as had some very light spotting and cramps (cramps gone but spotting is still there on the odd occasion) so I did get it checked yesterday but obviously they couldn't see anything. They said it could be ectopic or normal (I think they have to say that until they can see the gestational sac on the scan). So back Friday and hopefully they can see something and hopefully my HCG would have risen to over 1000. I've completed the form for the hospital though as I already knew what hospital I'd be going to but just holding out until Friday before I send it. 🙈 x

Hi everyone!

I can't believe how big this thread is already, there are loads of us! I hope you don't mind if I join. I tested positive (it was ridiculously faint) at 10dpo, which was a week ago today. I'm 4 weeks and 3 days, according to when I ovulated. I did a clear blue with weeks last Friday and already got a 2-3, so think my hormones must be fairly high! I've been feeling a bit sick and lightheaded until 2 days ago, now I feel pretty much back to normal which is strange. Tests are still nice and dark so I hope all is well. Planning to do another cb this Friday and hoping for a 3+!

It's been nice reading some of your stories. It's such a long wait isn't it! Hopefully we can get each other through it 🙂

marplemead · 30/06/2020 19:37

@Littlebee1990 I'm so sorry. I remember how devestating my mc was, even though it was over 4 years ago now. Take care of yourself Flowers

marplemead · 30/06/2020 19:46

I caved and did a digital pregnancy test today and seeing the word 'Pregnant' has really made it hit home. Has anyone contacted their GP? I'm around 4+6, so it all feels a little early to be making it official.

@MrsBlue1986 @Hopesandrainbows @BookishEm @Fredthefrog @Indigo89 Another teacher here! I'm currently wfh because my ethnicity makes me high risk, but will be returning to school in Sept. Is there any updated guidance for pregnant teachers? The leaked plans for secondary have made me really nervous.

Kangaroo77 · 30/06/2020 19:55

Congrats on all the BFP's. Amazing there's so many of us. I'm 5+1 and I feel like I've been pregnant for ages already. No symptoms at present though which is making me anxious after a recent loss in March. Anyone booming early scans? I have one next week privately at 6 weeks. I also submitted my nhs self referral form last week. Xxx

*booking 😝

Maybe3ornot · 30/06/2020 19:56

Well I am 2days past AF due and nothing, I’m scared to take the test in case it’s negative, delaying it for a few days more. If it comes out positive I will be due 6th March.

I am 38, have two children who are 14 and 11 and a bit scared of the age gap. Had period like cramps and backache at what I have calculated 9dpo and still slight aches. Boobs are tender and I’ve felt nauseous since 9dpo too, which I never had sickness with my other 2. In my head think signs of pregnancy but is it just in my head 😂

Tecalina · 30/06/2020 20:37

@Kangaroo77 I've got my scan booked for next Wednesday, I'm 5+4 today so hopefully they'll be able to see something! I also sent off my self referral (on the 18th!) but haven't heard anything yet. I rang them and they said I probably wouldn't hear back for a few more weeks! It's torture!

peonyrose87 · 30/06/2020 20:47

@Kangaroo77 I feel like I've been pregnant for so long too, and I've not even know for two weeks yet 🙈😂 I've an early scan booked for 8 weeks

Hopesandrainbows · 30/06/2020 21:04

Out of interest how much are your early scans costing? If I go private, it will be £110.

Ejb86 · 30/06/2020 21:17

@MrsBlue1986 I have. I told her the day that I got my first very very faint BFP. I didn't want to risk it. I was sent home and I'm now working from home at least until summer.

Keep reading all of these things about the new guidance due this week and wonder what it will say for pregnant staff?!

Linda1987 · 30/06/2020 21:18

@marplemead I called my GP yestersay when I was 4+6, she said she would refer me to the midwife who would be in contact at 9 weeks....feels like ages to wait! 😂 This is my first pregnancy so wasn't sure when to call but anxiety got the better of me lol. X

MrsBlue1986 · 30/06/2020 21:22

@ejb86 @fredthefrog @Hopesandrainbows @marplemead @BookishEm

I have just tried to google the guidance for pregnant women working in schools... there doesn't seem to be any new guidance, that I am aware of!? Its such bad timing, as i am due to go in school on Thursday.... perhaps ill feign some sort of cough, as i dont want to tell them just yet, just in case i get another chemical pregnancy!! 🤔 xx

Ejb86 · 30/06/2020 21:24

@MrsBlue1986 I'm primary, so it makes a difference because even the year 5s I was supposed to be with are struggling with distancing. My head phoned HR and they said unless they could guarantee that I could distance, then I'd need to work from home.

MrsBlue1986 · 30/06/2020 21:26

Ive just read on the NASUWT website...

WHAT IS THE ADVICE FOR TEACHERS WITH UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS OR WHO ARE AGED OVER 70 OR PREGNANT?

The UK Government’s advice is that employees from defined vulnerable groups should be strongly advised and supported to stay at home and work from home, if possible. The list of vulnerable groups published by the Government includes those:

aged 70 or older (regardless of medical conditions);
under 70 with an underlying health condition listed below (i.e. anyone instructed to get a flu jab as an adult each year on medical grounds);
chronic (long-term) respiratory diseases, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema or bronchitis;
chronic heart disease, such as heart failure;
chronic kidney disease;
chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis;
chronic neurological conditions, such as Parkinson’s disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), a learning disability or cerebral palsy;
diabetes;
problems with your spleen - for example, sickle cell disease or if you have had your spleen removed;
a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medicines such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy;
being seriously overweight (a BMI of 40 or above);
who are pregnant.

mumaofgirls · 30/06/2020 21:36

Good evening everyone, so many on here now!

@Littlebee1990 so sorry, not that it’s much comfort but I’m thinking of you. 😔

Hope everyone’s had a good week so far, I went back to work this week just in the office (been working from home up until now) , I’m a nursery manager, we have children coming back from tomorrow. I feel excited but nervous now with my little bean, my husband is also worried but after so much preparation to open the nursery I can’t not be there. Planning on telling my colleague (owner) after my scan.

@Hopesandrainbows I have booked my early scan for 25th July I will be 7+5. It’s cost £50 with Insight Ultrasound, this comes with 2 photos too. 😍

I haven’t yet contact my Dr’s, will no doubt do that in a couple of weeks. I don’t think they will see me until 8/9 weeks.

@Kangaroo77 I feel the same with that it’s only been a couple of weeks but already it’s the longest pregnancy ever! Hoping time starts flying once I’m back at work and my mind is occupied. Really excited for my scan just want the next 3 weeks to hurry up and everything be ok 🤞🏻 Xx

Ejb86 · 30/06/2020 21:36

@Mrsblue1986 yup. I've known this all through the cv stuff, I've been trying to get pregnant since christmas so I wanted to know where I stood if it happened. I'm also close to having a BMI of 40.
