Afternoon girls! Happy third trimester to those that have reached it today like myself, I know there is a few of us! So happy!!! Such a milestone! Aww @bluemoon2468 adorable!! @NWnature hope you are OK. I'll maybe try hitting Primark this Friday morning as I'm off. My changing mat came today so just waiting on my baby Dan and that's baby sorted xx

NWnature · 13/07/2020 14:50

Thanks guys. Ankle was agony last night but feeling bit better this morning.

H&M order has come. The maternity vests are great, good quality and fit. Same for the nursing T-shirts, I got a two pack in the sale for £10 and they are great. I bought two dresses both of which will be nice post baby too I think. However I definitely got the wrong leggings they are awful!! Same consistency as woolly school tights and MEGA see through! I can’t be arsed sending them back so will give them to another preg friend who might want to wear under dresses perhaps.

So back to drawing board with leggings. The new look maternity pair are ok, bit thin and have gone a tad bobbly but not bad considering I’ve worn them loads. The seraphine bamboo ones are massive I think I needed smaller size , they are really soft and would be good for cooler weather but go quite saggy.

HAPPY THIRD TRIMESTER to all passing the milestone Eeeeeek! This group has been so helpful. Especially as I’m not doing NCT or anything.

I think a preg massage would be lovely. It’s another covid hardship we face as I would’ve loved a spa weekend away with my mum and friends pre baby. I haven’t booked in for hair or anything yet but am desperate for a pedi ASAP!! I’d quite like lash extensions pre baby to try and look less dog rough in the immediate aftermath photos 😂 I’ve only had them once before for my wedding so don’t have a regular salon or anything and I guess they aren’t offered at the mo anyway. Could be a bit tricky lying down for them towards the end too- what do you think!? I know , not a major priority!

Also no further baby purchases made for me except a soft sling (ergo baby aura via eBay) and a bonds wondersuit as had heard good things. Still outstanding everything practical like nappies, sundries, pram and crib. Also when it gets nearer the time will definitely need your guidance on hospital bags. Currently just have fav room spray earmarked and that’s it 😂

MummyBearBoo · 13/07/2020 15:22

@NWnature -I did the same and bought vest tops which are great and leggings from H&M not realising they're see through when pulled right and woolly so not waterproof I use them fir under dresses or long maternity jumpers/tops and bought 2 pairs of brilliant non see through leggings from the love leggings website!! Xx

LexiM · 13/07/2020 18:37

Love all the bump photos, I need to do one. I try and do one each week but seem to have missed week 26 as I've looked so awful most days and nearly on week 27 now! Congrats to all of you in the third trimester, where has the time gone!

@bluemoon2468 that scan photo is amazingly clear. I often think about what our baby will look like and cant wait to see him and what colour hair he will have. We have blonde, brown and ginger in our family lines so I have no idea!

@NWnature sorry to hear about your ankle and glad you are doing ok today. I am clumsy naturally so definitely worse now my sense of gravity has changed! I've got a very large bruise where I walked into some furniture in the night.

I will try H&M for vest tops, especially the nursing kind. Sorry I cant help on leggings as they look awful on me so I try and avoid them. My mum says when I'm bigger I may want a pair but resisting for now!

I went to boots today to start getting some bits and got a free Mam bottle and pack of breast pads through the advantage points/parenting club app. Can also get good bonus points on it, I've got £20 on it so far, which I think I will save for when baby is here and I'm poor!! 😂

Got a sinus type headache this evening, its painful and I'm feeling sorry for myself... as always! Hehe.

Indigogirl88 · 13/07/2020 19:11

@otterbaby tried to get dp to massage my shoulders last night, it lasted roughly 5 minutes 😂

Treacle81 · 13/07/2020 19:26

@NWnature I am also dying for a pedicure!! Struggle to dry my damn feet never mind treat them! I really like the New Look mat leggings, I still wear normal ones but the mat ones are v soft and comfortable xx

otterbaby · 13/07/2020 19:38

Thanks for the advice @BntTowers I've booked for a mum to be massage and a pedi for early next month. Tried to do my own toes last week and it took a lot of huffing and puffing!

@Indigogirl88 mine is the same 😂 5 mins in and it's "my haaaaands are tired"

bluemoon2468 · 13/07/2020 20:20

@LexiM we are the same in terms of hair colour! Within our immediate families we have every shade going so it could be anything! I've always thought we might have a ginger baby though - DH is blonde but it definitely has a gingery/strawberry blonde quality to it, and his brother is a sort of auburny brown with a reddish tinge. We shall see!

MummyBearBoo · 13/07/2020 20:36

Leggings are the only thing I can fit in now my maternity jeans don't fit - the nursing type vest tops a black abs a White I've they're good coz they're thick round the boob bit which is important for when your boobs leak breast pads don't catch everything!)?

I love how thick and comfy the love leggings leggings are!!

I really need to get to boots- lansinoh nipple cream and breast pads are the best! Also I used sudocrem every nappy change but if baby gets happy rash you need Metanium (clears it up straight away but need to be careful coz it stains clothes!!)

I can't have a pedicure coz of my risk of heavy bleeding you can't have nail varnish on if you need to go to theatre! Xx

BettyBotter1 · 13/07/2020 21:15

@Bluemoon2468 gorgeous clear photo, that's amazing seeing the foot up by the face like that!
@NWnature sorry about your fall, sounds scary, hope you're ok.

Loving seeing everyone's bump photos, I'll try to take one tomorrow.

I've also bought vests from h&m and a couple of dresses. All good but white vest (in a 2 pack) best under stuff as is pretty see through. I bought the £19 leggings from seraphine which are like really thick black tights so are good under things but I wouldn't wear by themselves. My favourite thing I've got is a stripy dress from mamalicous at Next, it's good for breastfeeding too.

I'm off to speak to the anaethetist at the hospital tomorrow (I have a genetic condition which isn't affecting anything but means they want me to speak to them). Let me know if you have any questions.

@LexiM hope your headache goes away

BettyBotter1 · 13/07/2020 21:22

@BntTowers and @otterbaby massages and pedi sound lovely, enjoy. You've got me tempted. I've been using a ball to roll out my neck / shoulders which helps a bit but it's hardly pampering.

CharlieBalf · 13/07/2020 22:15

Hi ladies,
@nwnature I just brought some normal leggings from Fat Face two sizes up. They are so comfy, not at all see through and come right up over bump 😂

Anyone else feelng like they ran a marathon without warming up, training or even having run before? My entire lower half is so achy!

MummyBearBoo · 13/07/2020 22:26

@BettyBotter1 I've got to speak to an anaesthetist at 30 weeks coz I have genetic condition too - it can affect certain things baby has tested negative for condition thankfully but it means I can't have a GA, fatigue is a major issue along with excessive bleeding -my anaesthetic plan last time meant I had to have low dose epidural so would I need to go to theatre they could up the dosage so I wouldn't need a GA!! Xx

Treacle81 · 13/07/2020 23:26

I found the Lansinoh products cheaper on Amazon @MummyBearBoo. Just woke from falling asleep on the couch. Anyone else get such a dry mouth after a nap? Hopefully won't interrupt night's sleep. Sweet dreams girls xx

Zaalfruit · 13/07/2020 23:56

loving the bump pictures!!

I want to go to a spa, just feel so achey and bruised.

Third trimester yay!! I have 10 weeks off work left then im off before maternity leave seems so scary.

Healthcare Visitor called today and asked lot of questions - is this normal? I was suprised that some called me.

@Treacle81 my lips have become unusually dry alongside bleeding gums - so glamorous .

@MummyBearBoo thanks for tip - I need to buy nipple cream and breast pads. Will get the lansinoh ones. I got a free little sudocream - from the bounty pack so will use that and also someone gifted me bethnahpan one ( not sure how you spell it )

@LexiM I have tried to get the free mam bottle from boots its always out of stock.

The things I have left to but is a car seat and nappies for baby -

MummyBearBoo · 14/07/2020 01:27

@Zaalfruit -you're welcome those creams are good to try and prevent nappy rash but not to treat it - my DD once got it quite bad coz she had a cold and the Dr said baby's react to colds differently but after using metanium it cleared right up the Drs recommend this too- i always had some in in case she had a flare up til she was toilet trained!! You don't need to use it all the time though just if they get quite sore! Xxx

Treaclepie19 · 14/07/2020 07:54

@Zaalfruit yeah they should call around this time. Normally they'd do a home visit. I had the letter about my health visitor contact the other day. She's doing a phone call in a few weeks time.

Exciting to see people turning 28 weeks, mine is tomorrow!
It's getting very real 😁

Bump photo! 28 + 4
I got the lansinoh from amazon too and some bamboo nursing pads.
I'm aching on the outside of my thighs at the top, like I'm really unfit and tried to walk too far, anyone else suffering like that? Not sure if it's pregnancy or because I am now so unfit 😬

Indigogirl88 · 14/07/2020 08:49

@Zaalfruit happy 3rd trimester!

3rd trimester for me today as well, I even washed my hair, I might do a proper social media post Grin

Just about to go to my gtt test and I'm soooo hungry

Indigogirl88 · 14/07/2020 08:50

lovely pic @bettybotter1 x

Thanks for the heads up of a health care worker call, didn't realise we'd get one

Quiffy · 14/07/2020 09:15

All your bump pics are adorable 😻😻 and that scan photo @otterbaby squueeeee 😻😻

Think the massages and pedicures are all great ideas. Don't see a problem if everyone is taking precautions and changes for pregnant. A little pampering sounds wonderful.

Happy third trimester everyone hitting it this week. Still can't believe we're here already!

@indigogirl88 good luck with your GTT

I've ended up with a few extra days off this week as not had any freelance work sent in (yay covid). Bit annoying as I wanted some extra money for being on holiday the next two weeks but also lovely not working. So excited as my parents are coming to stay next week then we're going to stay with them for a few days.

Going to try and get through a few of my pre-baby house improvements today. Dh got me to go through our to-buy list for baby yesterday and just order everything left so got a massive Amazon, Boots and George order coming. It was terrifying but he says there's no point in having the money sitting and the list sitting when I'm set on everything we're to get. I'm still a bit yikes over it.

Still to think about a baby monitor but not sure where to start with that 🙈, some baby toiletries and formula closer to the time.

Indigogirl88 · 14/07/2020 10:48

Eeek @Quiffy exciting. I was so excited when my amazon order came yesterday. We are nearly done but also doing diy

Gtt test would have been better but bless her she really struggled getting bloods I think my arms are going to be quite bruised!

Measuring perfectly as well so not much else to report. Yawn how many more weeks...12 at least!

Zaalfruit · 14/07/2020 11:35

@BettyBotter1 lovely pic ! I like the dress looks super comfy .

@Quiffy I have forgotten about baby monitor and a pram lol it skipped my mind we haven’t brought one yet. Also we need to buy chest of drawers for the baby - I’m off from work on Friday so might try and do some big purchases - it’s so scary seeing all the costs add up . I know they are one off costs still scary to see it dwindle😱 I hope you enjoy your few days off I havent stayed at my parents house in so long I used to all the time pre covid.

@Indigogirl88 I get so excited when an order comes in - I order travel cubes for my hospital bag - and got so excited when they came . I also have started to pack my toiletries for the hospital bag . My dh travels a lot so we have lots of nice hotel minis so I have just kept all the nice ones for myself . I even found a whole new Colgate toothpaste and an New electric Toothbrush from his last travels .

Has anyone got any name ideas - I really like Sofia and I liked Aria but my dh says that’s a game of thrones name . Lool

Treacle81 · 14/07/2020 11:38

Morning girls, wasn't aware of health visitor call either so thanks for that. I have ran out of Peptac and just made sure I slept upright and it worked! Beautiful bump @BettyBotter1. @MummyBearBoo did you say you put sudocrem on at each nappy change and that other cream if sore? xx

bluemoon2468 · 14/07/2020 11:39

@Zaalfruit what sort of names are you looking for? I liked Aria too but definitely too game of thrones for me!
