Thanks for the film heads up @BntTowers. My DH suggested it last night, but I dont always trust his recommendations Grin. I'll give it a go now though (and he'll think I'm watching it for him so I'll get brownie points!)

Treacle81 · 12/07/2020 08:54

Morning girls! I also feel that baby is transverse as feel movement at each side and get v uncomfortable at times, like he's running out of space! I have mw on Thursday so soon know I guess. For those wanting cat print I seen a lovely little leopard print one on Insta, think it was called Milo and... that's all I can remember lol. Aww beautiful scan pic @BecLJ. @LexiM I'm finding myself off balance at times too, no leaking boobs yet however! Hope it's not a sign of no milk again! @Buzz22 I also still fit into normal clothes and am fed up with people telling me how neat I am as feel massive so deco think he must be lying sideways! Last day of second trimester for me too @Quiffy, that outfit is so cute! Happy haircut @Sparks27!! xx

MummyBearBoo · 12/07/2020 09:20

27 weeks today 1 week til 3rd trimester!

At this stage they still have quite a bit of room at my last scan baby was breech but she mixes loads and she kicks all day in different places!! Xx

MrsD1990 · 12/07/2020 09:20

So lovely catching up on everyone's messages this morning. Love the scan pictures and the news that some people are allowed their birth partners in hospital with them! I rang my hospital a couple of days ago and we're still only allowed birth partners with us when we're in active labour but the midwife I spoke to said the policy is being reviewed so hopefully it will change.

I'm having a nice weekend. Took the train to the new place we're moving to next month and so while we were there walked around the nearby park. Was so good for my mental health to wander around a different park - our daily walks have been around the same small park for the whole of lockdown so it was lovely to be somewhere else - much bigger with a pond!

We've got friends coming over today for a takeaway in the garden. Our second time in person socialising since March! Looking forward to it!!

StrawberrySprinkles · 12/07/2020 09:53

Been away for a few days but lovely catching up with the thread - the 4D scans are amazing! I’m so curious as to what our little squish looks like Grin

@Zaalfruit this shop has a few fruit print sleepsuits etc eddieandbee.co.uk/collections/organic-cotton-sleepsuits-1/organic-cotton-sleepsuits

I haven’t purchased from them yet, but have been tempted to! Instagram is full of amazing independent baby shops it’s hard not to want to buy everything that pops up!

Hope everyone’s been having a relaxing weekend, we’ve been trying to get the nursery a bit more organised but I’m finding it hard to bend much and my back and shoulders have been killing me in the evenings Blush

Zaalfruit · 12/07/2020 11:25

@StrawberrySprinkles thank you very cute. 😍😍😍 loving the prints.

Girls nappies are more confusing now -I’m terms of what will baby like . Every baby is different and I just feel like I’m going to have a huge baby .

Let me show you my bump - I have shot up from a size 10 to a size 14 Every inch of me is getting bigger my face is puffed. My ring doesn’t fit me either . I’m getting stretch marks all over me .

I hope my hospital changes the policy - they seem to have gone stricter with new rules implementing temperature checks and new gloves and masks for every person for example from my blood test to my midwife appointment on the same day they made me change masks and gloves three times . However the receptionist looks ill and had no glove or mask on - red runny nose - I stayed far from her.

I love all the scans I really want one - but dh is against it he say that he doesn’t want to see a mushed up picture of baby it will scare him and will make me not feel excited in two minds - should I just do it alone?

MummyBearBoo · 12/07/2020 12:01

@Zaalfruit You have a lovely neat cute bump I now feel even more like a beached whale!! Don't think my muscles ever went back to normal after my first so this time they just gave up easier!! My maternity leggings are too tight over my bump and loo short as I have to pull them up to get them over it - I've ordered some bigger ones!! Xx

Hi all :) Lovely bumps all round!
I'm feeling absolutely massive. Been trying to sort out the house today. Eek. The dining room was full to the brim with stuff to donate and parcels. It looks no better and now my kitchen table is covered too 😂

DH is building the drawers in baby's room so at least once that's done I can wash the baby clothes and put them away (eeeeeek)
Feels like too much stuff and not enough space😩
Especially with the charity shops not really accepting donations. I'm awaiting a womens refuge to collect some of the stuff.

Great bump photos, I will take one after I've got some mirrors cleaned.
Not been able to see anyone this weekend again :( mum called about an hour before we were going to set off. Step dads nephew has been told to get a Covid test, before he found this out he went to see his grandad and mum and stepdad see him often so not going to risk going until they've been tested. To be honest his symptoms sound a lot more like hayfever than Covid so I think everyone is going to be clear.
My hayfever has been horrendous all weekend.

@bluemoon2468 I think mine must not be vertical yet, always get kicks to a side. I'm only 26+3 so maybe has a bit more time to get moved.

Treacle81 · 12/07/2020 15:47

Aww, cute bumps! I'll post pic tomorrow as that's an important milestone! Sounds a great weekend @MrsD1990. Ach that's rubbish @BntTowers hope they get the all clear! Beautiful day here, just finished overtime but feeling v tired so planning a short nap then a nice walk. Also noticed appetite defo increasing 😏xx

MummyBearBoo · 12/07/2020 16:17

I need to take a new pic today for my 27 week picture as the one I posted was last weeks one - think it's had a bit of a growth spurt since then muscles just below my ribs have been sore all week! Xx

Lovely bump pics girls! You all look fab. I am really struggling with how to dress but given I rarely leave the house I suppose it doesn’t matter. I’ve ordered a few bits from H&M maternity. The asos maternity stuff I has swamps me at the mo but I feel self conscious in a lot of my normal tops with preg leggings.

I went to meet a couple of friends for social distance lunch today was so nice to see them after all this time. However on my way out I missed the last step on our stairwell and have twisted my ankle and skimmed both my knees. Didn’t hit the bump at all but shook me up a bit. I think rushing, having mask on and bump sort of in the way of feet now made me lose my balance.

Gorgeous pic @bluemoon2468 !!!!

bluemoon2468 · 12/07/2020 20:21

We had our 4D scan today, such an amazing experience! Baby is my husband's double 🥰

Indigogirl88 · 12/07/2020 20:29

@bluemoon2468 so does the midwife have a good feel to determine what way they are laying? Lovely scan picture

I'm mainly getting movement bottom right side

Lovely bump pictures as well I'm going to do another one Tuesday for my 3rd trimester eeeek

Went to boots today and picked up quite a bit of maternity, minis for hospital, baby clothes, pads etc so I feel pretty chuffed Grin

otterbaby · 12/07/2020 20:59

Such cute bumps! We went on a day out to Durham today and had lunch and a walk by the river. Got my DH to take my official third trimester photo as it's only tomorrow! Hard to believe we're all getting to this point now, baby could be here in as little as 2 months (hopefully longer though!)

@bluemoon2468 such a cute photo, love the little hands all curled up 😍

@Indigogirl88 I did the same recently, never thought I'd get so excited about buying bed pads 😂 went to Primark first thing this morning and picked up some flip flops, slippers, oversized night-dresses etc. so that's pretty much my hospital bag sorted, just need to pack it all up now at some point!

@NWnature that sounds scary! I've noticed my balance is starting to get worse as well. Glad bump is okay though.

bluemoon2468 · 12/07/2020 21:55

@Indigogirl88 yeah she had a feel and said she thought he might be transverse, and then she couldn't get his heartbeat easily with the doppler at all so she had another more thorough feel to try and work out where the heart would be and she found his head in my right side, but couldn't feel his bum at all so determined he was also back to back.

@otterbaby that's actually a foot up above the head 😆

@NWnature that must have been reallt scary! I've noticed that my balance is really awful too these days! Have to go so slowly down the stairs.

MummyBearBoo · 12/07/2020 22:07

Gorgeous pic @bluemoon2468 really clear they always come out looking more like the Dads!!

I have to have a minute when I first stand up coz my balance is terrible I'm not used to being so front heavy!!

Sang my DD to sleep and baby was happily kicking away to my singing - btw despite my DD's opinion I can't sing though i have improved slightly over the last 4 years from so much practice! Think she only thinks I can sing coz I've sung to her since she was in my tummy!! Xxx

Zaalfruit · 13/07/2020 06:27

@MummyBearBoo and @otterbaby lovely and cute belly’s x

@Treaclepie19 we are waiting for a chest of drawers and wardrobe for the a baby so I can wash and tidy everything our room is currently a dumping ground with deliveries.

@bluemoon2468
so clear the picture of way and the pose so cute . You got a great picture - ahh everyone is making me in to book one.

@NWnature the balance thing sounds scary - but atleast you are okay - I use to fall down pre bump so many times - have been so conscious and slow on the stairs - I’m 30 years old and my dad calls me still and says walk slow on the stairs esp with baby .

Also in terms of clothes I live in pjs and maxi dresses that are so stretched over my body I worry they might just tear if I’m out.

I went tkmaxx yesterday and brought the cutest first outfit - decided I will do a mini photo shoot of her With dh - as dh has the similar colour shirt .

I feel Kicks really Low but they haven’t mentioned anything to me (the midwifes) I have my next appointment in 4 weeks time so will ask then.

Let’s all hope we don’t have to birth alone - I really don’t want to wait till active labour to have dh with me - I’m petrified of hospitals and I want to feel relaxed and only he knows how to do that. If I could I would have my mum and dh with me.

Indigogirl88 · 13/07/2020 07:30

Eeeek ladies 3rd trimester tomorrow Grin not long now dealing with all these aches and pains. I love all these photos, I think ill get my dp to do a photo tomorrow Star

MummyBearBoo · 13/07/2020 11:33

@Zaalfruit -i have to go in a soon as my contractions start last time I was in hospital for 21 hours before she came - I don't want to be On my own, tho I know they say second is bully quicker!! Xxx

Treaclepie19 · 13/07/2020 11:58

Last time when I got to the hospital I was 5cm so dh would have been let in anyway. I think I'll aim for the same again and only go when I need to.

Feeling very grizzly and large today. Back on slimming world to try and make better choices. Rather than inhaling sharing bars of dairy milk everyday 😳

Now that salons are opening, has anyone thought about getting a pregnancy massage? I want to book in for one in a few weeks but do we now have an elevated risk being in the third trimester?

BntTowers · 13/07/2020 13:16

@otterbaby I am booked in for one on Saturday. I'll still be a week away from being in my third trimester but the guidelines that she sent through only say not to get one when pregnant if you have a pre existing heart condition. I think these are official guidance I will add a photo.

I did have one booked then had to move it back because I would have been too early, then my pregnancy once got cancelled so I've been waiting for this for a long time and cannot come soon enough with how bad my back is at the moment!

Obviously you have to make your own decisions on if it is safe enough for you, where I am going I know it's just her and I've been asked to bring my own towels and wear a face mask and told what precautions she is taking so I feel like she has really thought of all aspects of safety.
