Thanks everyone!

@BettyBotter1 I was also meant to be their bridesmaid but when I told them I was pregnant I could tell they were no longer keen to have a heavily pregnant bridesmaid so we agreed I wouldn't be 😂 but I did feel a tiny bit upset about it.

@BntTowers ah sorry to hear it's all bit stressful at work but relieved to hear baby was ok.

Xx

Hi ladies,

Still here lurking away! I had a 28week growth scan yesterday and little man is growing great, weighing approx 2lbs 12 atm! My gestational diabetes is getting harder to control and i'm on insulin injections for that now. I'm likely to have him anytime from 37 weeks so the fact that i could be into the single digit count down for weeks is scary! Baby is head down atm and some of the movements are getting uncomfortable the amount he twists and turns!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Indigogirl88 · 07/07/2020 10:20

@mssian93 I've got my gtt test next week so curious to see whether I have it or not. I am a bit worried though.

Hit 27 weeks today and I feel like a bag of poop, hormones, belly growing, and I feel so rough and ugly. Dp thinks its highly hilarious but struggling with sleep, aching arms (again!) And its having a toll on my days. Still got 2 months at work as well eeek!

Treacle81 · 07/07/2020 10:31

Morning girls, another crap night due to restless legs, you seem to get it in arms @Indigogirl88, I used to but now it’s my legs! I must say though no heartburn and I put it down to sleeping near enough sitting up! Needs must! Was up at 2 then 4 both times wide awake and as soon as I go to toilet, baby wakes. Training for new role today 🥴💤🤓xx

LexiM · 07/07/2020 10:43

@MsSian93 sorry to hear things are difficult with your diabetes but how exciting to think the countdown is on to meeting your baby! I've got my test two weeks today. I dont know if I would know if I had GD, like are there symptoms? God help me (or rather my husband!) if it's no more chocolate for me!

I'm with you @Indigogirl88 on feeling rough. I ache today and feel sick. I really hope this isn't the return of morning sickness which I've heard can come back later in pregnancy. Minus the aches of hips and back, I've loved feeling more energised and well in the second trimester.

@Treacle81 I feel for you, restless legs is so annoying!

Treaclepie19 · 07/07/2020 11:07

Sounds like we need hugs all round today ❤

I'm not feeling great either. SPD is ramping up badly and I've woken up with a real black cloud over my head. Little worrying really but I'll try and get through the day and seek out the counselling I keep saying I'll sort.

Thanks @lexim I slept on it and decided to take a day off next week to try to get me through these long work weeks rather than bring my mat leave forward. It's obviously so short notice that I got push back and it's now a half day rather than a full day off but better than nothing!!

@BntTowers thanks agreed it's so stressful - completely agree with you about making sure you walk every day etc. Yesterday was so bad at work I barely had time to eat, got to 7.30pm and realised I hadn't left the house all day so forced myself to go outside. It makes such a difference (although I still felt very preoccupied and stressed while on the wall, felt a lot better afterwards!!)

@treaclepie19 sorry today is a bad day, I hope it picks up for you! Sometimes they do just end up being write offs and tomorrow will be a lot better

MummyBearBoo · 07/07/2020 12:06

26w scan baby is sucking her hand and wouldn't move her hands from in front of her face so they couldn't get a 3d pic -she was swallowing and wriggling but wouldn't move her hands!! Baby is growing really well gone up from 38th percentile to 45th!

Just coz of previous complications I have another scan at 31 weeks on 11th August it was supposed be week before but I'm escaping to my in-laws static caravan (has no shared facilities) in Brid for a week!! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 07/07/2020 12:06

You can only see head and hands coz she too bod to see anything else at this point!

BettyBotter1 · 07/07/2020 16:48

@MummyBearBoo awww adorable! It's amazing to see them moving around on the scan. That's great she's growing really well 😀

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy There were two of us bridesmaids who would have been around 8 months! I think my friend was more upset at idea of losing two of us than us looking chunky in her photos - we were going to create symmetry anyhow! Hopefully will all be able to go ahead smoothly next year instead.

@Treaclepie19 Sorry you woke up feeling bad, hope your day is progressing better than it started.

Treacle81 · 07/07/2020 17:30

Aw @MummyBearBoo so cute 🥰 god girls, remember I said was in agony switching sides through the night? Just sneezed and no word of a lie, the pain was excruciating 😖!! Lasted a good few mins - really bad 😔xx

Treaclepie19 · 07/07/2020 18:53

Thanks everyone. Today has been horrid. Going to have a shower and go to bed early. If ds ever sleeps.

@Treacle81 I get that, ligament pain apparently. It's horrid isn't it 😔

OP posts:
Treacle81 · 07/07/2020 19:25

@Treaclepie19 didn’t think it would hurt quite as bad! Do not remember that with my first pregnancy! I hope you sleep well xx

NWnature · 07/07/2020 23:20

Sorry to hear everyone’s been having a tough day! Roll on tomorrow. The ligament pain sounds horrid as does the achy arms/ legs.

I had a midwife app earlier which went well they listened to the heartbeat and measured the bump. Took my final bloods. I mentioned not much movement and she said to see how it goes to 28 weeks as the baby will probably have a growth spurt and be much easier to feel by then.

Went to the cinema this eve and I think the loud noises helped as def felt kicks for a good 5-10 mins!

Is anyone else suffering with bleeding gums? One side of my upper jaw is sore and bleeding when I brush. I’ve got cordsyl toothpaste and mouthwash and use my air floss but it’s been a few days now. I might try some salt washes to try and clear it up without having to go to the dentist.

MummyBearBoo · 08/07/2020 00:19

Not had bleeding gums but I hear it's quite common in pregnancy (were told that at NCT last time too) just coz of the increased blood flow to your body!! Xxx

Indigogirl88 · 08/07/2020 08:34

@MummyBearBoo lovely scan pic, its so odd thinking I won't be having any more scans now unless they send me to a growth scan. Do hasn't seen baby girl yet at all!

@nwnature yes I am, I had a dentist appointment booked and they cancelled it as non emergency! I was not pleased!

We are nearly there with a name now Grin

Woke up feeling better this morning Grin

NWnature · 08/07/2020 08:42

@Indigogirl88 argh thats annoying! I was considering booking one but I might just persevere for another week or so with careful cleaning. It’s not painful throughout the day just gross when brushing!

So exciting you are nearly there on a name!!!! We have one unisex one that we like and then a handful of others but definitely nothing standout for boy or girl! I’m hoping once the baby arrives it just clicks for us.

BntTowers · 08/07/2020 08:56

@NWnature I think the salt water is a good idea, will help keep it clean. I've only experienced it a little, maybe worth mentioning it to your midwife see if they suggest anything.

I'm with everyone who has had really bad round ligament pain, could not get comfortable last night because of it, plus the spd really didn't help. I got a really good video of baby moving yesterday afternoon, it looks like it's doing the worm...

MummyBearBoo · 08/07/2020 09:07

DH wasn't allowed in the scant room but he's quite happy with pictures and seeing her move when my tummy moves and feel her kick tho so it's ok!
She was in a strange mood yesterday she usually kicks all day but yesterday she wriggled loads but hardly kicked -she's made up for it this morning but still they do like to keep us on our toes!! Xx

Quiffy · 08/07/2020 09:10

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy Glad you've been furloughed as it sounded way to much to be doing

Treacle81 · 08/07/2020 09:29

Morning girls! Wow what a difference this morning thanks to a better sleep! I just raised myself higher and made sure the pregnancy pillow was supporting my full side. Think it helped that it isn’t as warm at night. My partner did say I took up so much of the bed though so think it’ll soon be separate beds 🙊 I feel much lighter today as well, baby must be in a different position and I feel like a different person compared to the last few days! Wow @NWnature that is not thing I really miss, going to pics! TMI but one thing that has been getting to me recently is the discharge, it just freaks me out but I know it’s all natural. I get bleeding gums and nose bleeds at times, but yea all normal. I though dentists were back open and they cancelled my last check up so called to re book and yea it’s just emergencies they are interested in for the moment xx

Treacle81 · 08/07/2020 09:33

Oh meant to say I got the Positive Birth Company book and started reading. Thoroughly enjoying it girls! Defo gonna buy the digital pack now I know it’s something I’m keen on! @Quiffy I must tell you that I had not one maternal bone in my body before I had my son, had never changed a nappy, held many babies, but as soon as he was placed in my arms, your instincts just take over. I never read any help books or anything, yes you’ll get great advice reg feeding and things but please don’t worry about anything. It honestly will just come to you xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 08/07/2020 09:36

@MsSian93 hope you're managing ok. Single digit countdown does sound scary but exciting too!

@LexiM last week I was also feeling a bit sick and off food just like I did in first trimester. I'm back to normal again now though luckily! Hope same happens to you.

@Treaclepie19 I'm also worrying lots too, think by nature I'm a worrier but recently it's just been something after another. I'm doing my best to just chill and not let things get me down. I've cried loads recently too and made

a decision yesterday "no more crying"'and feeling good about it so hopefully it'll work!!! I also get spd it's been ok yesterday but still got it a bit in the night.

@NWnature I had blood when brushing yesterday for the first time, I'm not worried yet because every few weeks normally it happens for me then goes away. But I did read that if it bleeds while pregnant to just brush through it and ignore it. I don't know how correct that is though. Maybe call dentist for advice.

@Indigogirl88 the dentist cancelled mine too! We are also there with the name, 3 we like. I don't think we will fully decide though until she's here, see what sort of person she looks like!! Glad you feel better this morn!

@MummyBearBoo lovely scan pic and also the trip away sounds lovely!

Treacle81 · 08/07/2020 09:38

I was in hospital for 4 days with him and will never forget the initial fear hubby and I had when we brought him home for the first time! He drove like 30 mph on the motorway 🤣 My son never cried once in the hospital and we put him in the middle of the living room floor, still in car seat and he started crying and we just looked at each other. The first week you will most likely spend watching him sleep, making sure he’s breathing but it does get easier, I promise you. Newborns need fed and changed and they sleep, that’s it. I’m sure you’ll be just fine 🥰xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 08/07/2020 09:44

@Quiffy yes I'm also a bit loopy about the house! Can't wait for it all to be done still need to finish 2 rooms incl babies room, buy only a few more bits and get things sorted like getting a dryer and dishwasher. So hopefully by aug we will be sorted I can't wait to just chill!! And don't worry about your course, sounds like you're well prepared with all your books. I'm a nanny and still loads I feel I don't know like I haven't looked at all into breastfeeding like how to do it etc (I know it might be self explanatory but I keep seeing things popping up on Instagram about learning how to breastfeed etc 😂). I think even if you didn't read those books you are prob more well prepared than you think, you'll be great!

@Treacle81 I'm already most nights in a separate bed! It helps me loads with the spd. I feel more relaxed to just roll over when I need to while making my in pain noises knowing I'm not just waking dp up all night. Plus our spare bed is softer and I just find it so much comfier. Also I've been doing the digital pack with positive birth and I'm excited for the birth, not worried at all it's been amazing!
