Hey @SkyBlue20 will keep everything crossed for you!!!💙

@lexiM I’m also so sorry about your dad, it must be so tough on top of everything going on. Take care❤️

@Quiffy which pram did you go for?! Sounds like you are v organised now. I need to google what a baby swing is 😂 BRB

MummyBearBoo · 01/07/2020 15:38

@LexiM - sorry about your dad

@Spark27 -I'm with you I need some sleep!! Can't nap with a DD and this baby is not letting me sleep til 2.30am at the earliest she's still kicking and moving loads so think this is probably her new pattern!! Xxx

SkyBlue20 · 01/07/2020 15:54

Thanks all!

@Quiffy It absolutely feels like months, it's going so sloooowly. Trying to hold out until next weekend but we'll see 🙈

@LostinAusten2 Yes, I can imagine it does feel very soon that a whole new person will be with you but also feels like a long time to still be pregnant for!

Anyways, just wanted to say hello ☺️ Wishing you all so much luck for the next few months (and hope kicking babies let you sleep some before then!) 💕

CharlieBalf · 01/07/2020 16:16

Hi all 😊Happy Wednesday. Our Finnish baby box arrived today and I'm cooing over all the tiny clothes! If anyone is interested they have a sale on right now, provide a variety of clothes from birth to 12 months and they're all dependent on when you give birth: for example all the summer rompers in my box were 9 to 12 months a d the pram suit is 3 to 6. Nursery is a mess as haven't got any storage yet 😂

@SkyBlue20 thank you and lovely to hear from you, I have everything crossed for you xx
For me I think the weeks are going really fast, that being said I probably wont towards the end!

@charliebalf - that box looks great, I've never heard of them before. Makes sense with the time of year, I keep seeing people buying all this summer tempers now for babies due in october and thinking but it's going to be nearly winter by then!

I'm feeling more positive today, have just relaxed at home and done a few small chores. I am feeling quite heavy, I'm sure my bump has grown overnight, its definitely very out front right now.

Spark27 · 01/07/2020 17:41

Great to hear from you @Skyblue20. Fingers crossed for you and the TWW. xx

That Finnish box looks good. Never hear of those before. Well, I knew some countries did it, but hadn't heard of the brand.

Managed about 6hrs sleep last night, so that was excellent. And fell asleep on the sofa for an hour this afternoon. Guessing I wont sleep tonight now. Picked a terrible day to go to the zoo. It threw it down. We were all soaked as obvs you cant go anywhere indoors. Fortunately it was quiet, but still difficult with the distancing as you feel like you're always waiting on others so you can go and look at something. But DD enjoyed herself so that's good. And as we couldn't go in the gift shop we saved money on another cuddly toy Wink

Ended up picking up a KFC for lunch. So yummy, but now feeling really dehydrated from it. It I cant drink enough. Not usual for me so thinking it's just the salty/sugary food

Indigogirl88 · 01/07/2020 22:49

@SkyBlue20 lovely to hear from you keeping everything crossed Flowers

MummyBearBoo · 01/07/2020 22:56

@SkyBlue20 🤞 for you hun xxx

Quiffy · 02/07/2020 09:01

@NWnature I got the Ickle Bubba Stomp V4 in midnight bronze. Went for this package here as it was the same price as the travel system alone. Although now I have lots of boxes everywhere haha. Thought the travel cot would be good for visiting parents. I already have a Joie Sansa rocker so not sure if we will use bouncer or not. Will see what baby likes!

@CharlieBalf Love the box!

@Spark27 nightmare on the rain! At least DD enjoyed herself

bluemoon2468 · 02/07/2020 09:48

@SkyBlue20 so nice to hear from you! Best of luck for this month!

Spark27 · 02/07/2020 10:04

@Quiffy that pram set and bundle looks gorgeous, and an amazing price. All the extras (sunshades, etc) will be really useful, and it might be handy to have the spare bouncer chair upstairs as somewhere else to put baby down when you're upstairs. I remember putting DD in her bouncy chair in our room so I could have a quick shower when she was little. We now have a spare one that I've put on the 3rd floor so I have somewhere to put new baby down if I'm up with DD in her room.
And we used the travel cot for the first 2yrs when visiting family/taking mini breaks. You might want to get a mattress for it if you are planning on using it, as the bases can be quite hard.

If you are thinking of staying over at others/going on holidays etc, I really recommend getting a travel blackout blind. We've got a Gro one that suctions on and it's a lifesaver. We picked on up on FB for £10.

Kind of jealous I dont get to buy all this stuff again, but pleased to not be spending the money. xx

LexiM · 02/07/2020 10:21

@Quiffy that looks like a great package especially with all the extras! Good to have choice on what to use and I guess you could always sell any bits you find you don't use.

I've done some washing of baby clothes this morning so I can start putting it away properly, typically the sunny weather forecast here has turned to rain forecast for an hours time, so its inside. I just love looking at all the mini perfectly white clothes hanging up... I expect they will be grey within a week of wearing!!

Treaclepie19 · 02/07/2020 11:33

Best of luck @SkyBlue20 Flowers

Not feeling too great today. Feeling sick, stomach is a bit upset and I'm so drained. Feel like just going back to bed but my 4yp has other ideas!

BntTowers · 02/07/2020 11:56

@SkyBlue20 fingers crossed for you, the tww is the worst part.

@Quiffy that looks like such a good deal. I am currently trying to persuade DH on getting a rocker or bouncer. He wants to wait until baby arrives and see what they prefer... I want something to put them in whilst getting a shower...

I had a midwife appointment this morning, just really quick checked a urine sample, blood pressure and asked a few questions. No measuring, but did get to hear baby's heartbeat and record it which was so good. It's going to be hard to focus and get back to work now.

StrawberrySprinkles · 02/07/2020 14:06

Hi everyone, hope it’s okay to join you - I’m due with my first (expecting a girl!) in early October Smile I’ve been reading along with all the threads and it’s been so nice to keep up with a group of women at the same stage in pregnancy especially during the pandemic!

I had my 25 week midwife appointment this morning and my urine sample flagged up excess glucose so being sent for the GTT in a couple of weeks - just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar?

CharlieBalf · 02/07/2020 14:14

@Treaclepie19 I'm suffering today too. Pelvic pain and aches for no real reason. I've started to feel a little sick in the mornings too, I've read it's pretty normal. Had a big emotional cry over the stupidest thing my hubby siad yesterday, glad I got it out and actually we had a lovely evening watching a dvd afterwards 😂

Hi @StrawberrySprinkles welcome to the club! I've not had anything flagged in my urine so can't help you there my love. Good lucj. I'm team yellow, congrats on your little girl!

Treaclepie19 · 02/07/2020 14:21

Glad you managed to have a lovely evening @CharlieBalf Smile My pelvic pain is bad too 😩 Our 4yo is struggling with bedtime at the moment too so the evenings are just no fun right now. Think that might be why I'm struggling. I keep on staying up late so we get some time to watch TV and then I'm up at 6 still. Knackered.

Spark27 · 02/07/2020 15:06

Hi @StrawberrySprinkles, welcome to the group. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Cant help with the GTT I'm afraid. This is my 2nd pregnancy so I dont get to see my mw until 28w. Hoping all is ok as pregnancy has given me a sweet tooth and I'm not sure how I'd curb it Cake

BntTowers · 02/07/2020 15:19

Welcome @StrawberrySprinkles I've not had a GGT, I think they are keeping an eye on my bloods and may do an extra test at my next appointment which will be a blood test one rather than glucose. So not much there help sorry. It's our first as well and we are team yellow. Congrats and this group is really useful to be part of.

I am exhausted today now. I was awake quite a bit last night listening to the rain and having baby kick up a storm.

StrawberrySprinkles · 02/07/2020 15:30

@CharlieBalf Thank you & congratulations too! I do wonder if we should have remained team yellow just because we've gotten used to the idea of the baby being a girl now - will be a bit of a surprise if baby is actually a boy! Hoping the glucose is just a blip but we'll see...

@Spark27 Thanks! The pregnancy has been going well overall - hope yours is too! I've been wondering if its down to a lack of exercise - thanks to lockdown and generally being a tired pregnant lady! Been trying to find good walks to do but lack of open loos make me worried about leaving the house for too long Blush

@BntTowers Congratulations to you too! Hope your bloods are all okay

Quiffy · 02/07/2020 15:35

@Spark27 That's good to know on the mattress! Will have a look for that and I have a travel blackout blink on my 'maybe' list so will upgrade to things we need now I've heard someone find it useful. We stay at family a lot as they live a few hours away.

I'm a bit worried about the England side of family as I won't drive there (too nervous a driver for motorways) and dh can't drive. We usually get the train to visit but baby, train and all his stuff sounds impossible. We take the car for my parents as it's all country roads. Surely won't be able to take travel cot and all that on a train... Which means I'll get the guilts for visiting one more. Plus, with 'you know what' very unlikely to go far with public transport anyway.

@LexiM ahh I'm excited for the washing bit, shame on the rain though.

@BntTowers I'd definetely get one before, like you say I think it will be vital for showers and loo trips.

@StrawberrySprinkles Welcome! Not experienced similar, but had the GTT test (only the fasting) and passed. They said if it was positive you'd be called up for an appointment and asked to make some diet changes and if that doesnt work medication. First here too, having a boy

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 02/07/2020 19:01

Hi Everyone

Sorry been so quiet for last few weeks. I've still been reading everything. But for a few reasons just not posted.

Feeling much happier now but was struggling a few weeks ago with lack of knowing what was happening with me and working and furlough etc. Anyway all sorted now, got mat leave and annual leave all sorted now for the rest of the year. But it was stressing me out a lot.

Also I have just been completely wiped out as soon as I get home from work, active job on my feet and working 45 hours a week (nanny) and just about managing. Get home and just crash. Not been able to spend any quality time with dp bevause been so tired and just wanting to go to bed. This week baby feels like a brick literally, my hips are struggling and feel like my legs are so so heavy (maybe all the extra blood I have no idea why 😂)

So sorry for long post but just felt ready to talk again!

Hope you're all ok!

Xx

blankiesandunicorns · 02/07/2020 20:10

Nice to hear from you @AutumnBabyWinterMummy

I'm 27 weeks today! Some websites say I'm now third trimester others say it's 28 weeks. Either way can believe how quickly it's going and quite excited now!

Spark27 · 02/07/2020 20:31

Great to hear from you again @AutumnBabyWinterMummy. Sorry to hear you've had a difficult time but pleased things are getting sorted now.

@blankiesandunicorns America says 3rd tri starts at 27w, UK says 28w. Not really sure what/why the difference xx
