@BntTowers that's what I'm thinking so not worrying too much. Yeah the massage sounds interesting... There's no way dh is signing up for that 😅

Zaalfruit · 26/06/2020 10:57

@Quiffy - just call them if you are worried . I got a call from my midwife telling me I missed my appointment me yesterday lol baby brains I forgot 🤪

(Way to early for massage )

Anyone else dtd- my dh has given up because I’m always like I feel huge and not in the mood 😜😜
He made an appointment with me for Xmas to dtd and I said better not get pregnant 🤰

FYI I did not know there was so much choice for powder milk - will have to see what baby likes .

What’s everyone’s plans for the weekend?

Spark27 · 26/06/2020 11:05

I'm feeling very put out that the weather has lied to me. It was supposed to be cooler today but it's still boiling and sunny. I'm so hot. And I've got sore feet today. They're not swollen, but the bottom of my feet feel really hot and sore. Even with me raising them. Great.

No exciting plans for the weekend. But planning on letting DH take more of a lead with the parenting while I'm knackered.

I thought about the massage last time, and bought some oil. But didnt do it. Just ended up not wanting to.

Treaclepie19 · 26/06/2020 12:42

@Spark27 I feel exactly the same. I was looking forward to a cooler day. I need a rest the weekend but we have so much to do.
My feet are hot and sore and swollen too. Feeling very grumpy!

Oh @Quiffy - that’s really promising! Yay to hopefully you being in the clear 😊

And @Zaalfruit there’s no DTD over here, I’m huge and tired and being reminded frequently that there’s another human being in my tummy... I’ve agreed the same with DH: come Winter we’ll have a great time to make up for this 🥳

BntTowers · 26/06/2020 13:20

I thought the second trimester was supposed to be filled with energy? I don't think I've had a week yet where I've not felt exhausted. I'm disappointed in the weather too, it feel really close here and we are supposed to have thunder storms later. Hopefully that will cool everything down.

Spark27 · 26/06/2020 14:50

@Zaalfruit we dtd the other week, and it was just a bit awkward. Positioning has to be thought out and (sorry, TMI) I found my bits got very swollen and felt really uncomfortable for the rest of the day. I presume it's to do with all the extra blood and etc. Coupled with that, a growing bump and the heat I wont be rushing to do it again Grin
But as DH can be deployed for 6 months at a time we're kind of used to it.

LexiM · 26/06/2020 18:29

Ah @Spark27 I agree about the weather today, I'm hoping for rain tomorrow (never said that before!)

@Zaalfruit we have DTD a few times but the further I go in my pregnancy the more conscious I am about doing it. Worried about awkward positions and whether I need a pee! 😂

@BntTowers sorry your energy has been so low all the way through. I have definitely had the benefits of more energy in the second trimester, although sometimes its ruined by my body feeling about 80! My back pain hasn't been there today though, so I hold out some hope that it's not going to be there all the time now. I have been bouncing on the ball every evening and that helps.

Indigogirl88 · 26/06/2020 20:02

I've been sweating from all sorts of places today 😂 I've found some motivation to get myself a bit dressed up tonight as we are having some drinks to celebrate the official engagement so I feel ok, now I've had a cold shower and fanned my froo 😂

CharlieBalf · 26/06/2020 21:30

@Indigogirl88 I'm literally in a pool of sweat wherever I've been sitting 😂 iced water in one hand and a fan in the other. I couldn't be more unattractive if I tried!
So in answer to @Zaalfruit no, DTD isn't even on the radar, hubby is sleeping in the spare room cause he's says I'm like a furnace at night. We had a few 'attempts' up till now but it was a little painful for me. Him on knees and you side ways kinda works without bump being too in the way 😉👍

Zaalfruit · 26/06/2020 23:22

The dtd - we tried it , just hurt so much and I
Was screaming and dh got scared . I felt so bad .

Been sweating so much - also my arms have gone fatter wore a dress today and my arms looked like sausages .

Quiffy · 27/06/2020 08:21

It was raining here most of yesterday and SUPPOSEDLY it was 20 rather than the 30 on Thursday. It really felt so warm though, I was trying to do some nursery sorting and had to stop as the sweat was running down me. Ended up going for a nap and woke at 8pm oops.

No DTD here. Was too sick first/second trim. Still pretty sicky but more the bump and kicking freaks us both out.

@BntTowers agree on energy, I have so many plans to do things but need so many rests. Can't believe that the third trimester is just around the corner!

Hoping to do more nursery sorting and baby list ticking today. Currently on sofa in front of a fan though 😅

Zaalfruit · 27/06/2020 08:42

@Quiffy - I wanted to rest over this weekend and go shops to get some Baby stuff.

Somehow my mil has roped me into making desserts for her - she is giving it to her friends - I have no objections to do it - but she called me at 9pm in a frenzy saying she forgot about desserts and if I could make them and all before lunch time . So much pressure . I can’t even say no as she will be our baby sitter as my parents live far.

Some of my clients from Scotland were telling me about the rain and how bad it was I was surprised - they even send em pics of views from there windows it looked so muggy and humid .

This weekends aim is to purchase a chest of drawers - and sort through my Asda and John Lewis orders and moan at dh to sell or remove the sofa , mini fridge , Dhs collection of junk food from the ottoman in our bedroom .

Zaalfruit · 27/06/2020 08:42

Sent me*

Spark27 · 27/06/2020 08:56

Woke up to rain this morning. And it's currently about 14c cooler than it has been. So happy.

No real weekend plans. My DDs online dance class has been cancelled. And the PYO strawberries we were supposed to be doing next week has been cancelled. Too much demand and not enough supply. Getting a bit annoyed as so hard to entertain her and options are limited as it is. I can tell shes getting frustrated at being in.

27w tomorrow and I'm getting to the point where I could murder a great big bucket of wine

Quiffy · 27/06/2020 09:05

@Zaalfruit bloody hell that is so much pressure. Hope it goes okay and dh should be agreeing to all wishes after that!

@Spark27 rubbish on both counts. Must be so hard when so many things are getting cancelled :(

BntTowers · 27/06/2020 09:29

It's only rained a tiny amount here, but is a lot cooler today. I think I only managed to sleep in 1.5 hour blocks last night at the most because of the heat or needing to go to the loo, which means I'm exhausted again today.

We were supposed to be seeing a friend, but with the weather we are trying again next week. Or maybe seeing my mum but tomorrow looks to be dry but cool so we will see again how it goes. Otherwise no plans this weekend. Not sure how I feel about that.

@Spark27 that must be so frustrating. I was thinking last night it would be nice to have a cold glass of white wine sat outside, but I think the actual smell of it would put me off.

@Zaalfruit that sounds like so much to do! Especially to be told so late. Good luck with getting it done.

MummyBearBoo · 27/06/2020 10:34

Want to try and get some baby clothes tomorrow.

I'm just too huge to DTD comfortably!!

We have hail stones the size of golf balls yesterday they hit our car and set off our car al along with a few other cars on our road they were so big it was so noisy!!

It's my 8 year wedding anniversary on Tuesday don't think we're going out for a meal tho like we'd normally do so think DH will cook us something nice and I'll have alco-free fizz!! Xx

Indigogirl88 · 27/06/2020 15:22

Just pottering about but right fancy a Macdonalds. Got to go food shopping, yawn!

Re dtd weve been fairly consistent, but the last few weeks havent attempted much as been so hot. The bump is getting in the way now so having to get adventurous 😂

Zaalfruit · 27/06/2020 19:58

So I made cheese cake about 9 am and then I dropped it and cried. I cried over dropping it . Dh went and got the ingredients I was so upset it looked so good the first time round and whilst I waited I started on baking 2 pound cakes.

Went out to Argos and brought a baby bath . We only have a shower unit at home and a really small bathroom . I wanted to go in next and tkmaxx but the queues were so long to get in. Ended up going Aldi and buying about 10 pounds worth of ice cream.

@Indigogirl88 have the maccy ds!!! lol about dtd , its way to hot.

@MummyBearBoo wow 8 years!! Congrats - deffo do something after the lock down - but for now enjoy you dhs cooking and the alco-free fizz. (omgosh about the size of the hailstones - I hope no one got hurt )

@Spark27 thats such a shame that they cancelled - Kids must be getting so frustrated and bored . I feel so bored so cant imagine what the kids are going through.

Indigogirl88 · 27/06/2020 20:16

Yep had the Macdonalds, baby enjoyed as well. I need to brave some shops as well @zaalfruit

I cried today when a special song came on but I think that was more because of engagement and hormones combined hehe

MummyBearBoo · 27/06/2020 21:30

@Indigogirl88 -emotional effects of pregnancy are bad! My DD watched lion king (which, thanks to her I've now seen loads) and cried when Simba's dad died DH was laughing at me!

@Zaalfruit thanks- as far as I know everyone/thing was ok though I did see a guy attempting to cycle but the wind was really bad too and he ended up pushing his bike!! Xx

Quiffy · 28/06/2020 09:09

@Zaalfruit that's a nightmare on cheesecake, no wonder you cried. What baby bath did you go for? Hope you filled up on ice cream ❤️

@MummyBearBoo 8 years! Sounds like a lovely plan.

Did too much yesterday and suffered for it last night. But got a lot done in room and researched most of my baby list. Dh says I need to get my hormones in check and that we have lots of time to get house perfect. He's definitely wrong though 😅🥴

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

LexiM · 28/06/2020 09:50

@zaalfruit I really feel for you about the cheesecake. Sounds like the like kind of thing I would do right now. I knocked my drink all over the power bit of our Dyson the other day, my husband went off on one about how I couldn't be trusted near things. Luckily it still works. I hope you enjoyed your ice cream.

@quiffy not sure it's possible for pregnant women to get their hormones in check!! 😂 my husband asked if I spoke to the midwife about my "brain problems" aka how forgetful I am right now, I was like it's perfectly normal and she said I wasn't that forgetful because I remembered my urine sample so there haha!

Glad you had a productive day, I literally did nothing and I was tired but also restless so couldn't decide how I felt or what to do. I need to finish painting the nursery ceiling and I need to do it before I get much bigger as otherwise I will never do it. I will be glad when it's done and I can stop moving things in and out the room as i decorate. My mum is keen to deliver the cot to our house too so she can have her conservatory back.

Treacle81 · 28/06/2020 11:00

Morning girls! I’m also finding it hard to control my emotions and my craving for cake 🙈! Although we have had thunder, lightening and torrential rain the temp still hasn’t dropped and still very uncomfortable in this heat. I wasn’t willing to pay £100 for my changing bag to match my stokke pram so found one on Argos website. V happy with it, £9 with changing mat and it’s v spacious! ALMOST perfect match! As it will be attached and hanging from pram it works fine! xx
