Congrats to everyone getting beautiful scans, it's so lovely to see them all coming through 🥰

Feeling down today but that's just cause work is being a bit tough at the moment. Feeling fine otherwise, just impatient about how long everything in pregnancy seems to take. Damnit nature! 20 week scan seems so far away.

I have a face to face appointment at 16 weeks with midwife. They aren't normally doing then at the moment but I need bloods drawn for the quad test so she told me to come in. Hoping she breaks out the Doppler Grin

MayBug2020 · 30/06/2020 09:24

@Lollipop93 exactly my thoughts on thinning the blood. I will check and do some research as I am not sure I trust it.

Bring on our scans and starting to feel a little more like ourselves again x

BabyG123 · 30/06/2020 09:38

@MayBug2020 me, baby aspirin. Its if your bmi is Above 30 usually? For blood thinning Incase of clots. It's only 75mg once per day and is a disposable tablet.

@Tara1999 what a super clear scan. Congratulations!

You can sometimes be recommended aspirin if you have a raised BMI, have a family history of DVT, had previously eclampsia in a previous pregnancy or are an older mum x

Skyla01 · 30/06/2020 10:27

@BabyG123 my nausea has been a bit worse the last few days too. I shouldn't complain as it is still mild. I just thought it would be gone by now! What were you measuring at your scan? Mine is next week, I'll be 12+4 by lmp but more likely 11+4 by ovulation. I wonder if that will be too early for all the tests?

Skyla01 · 30/06/2020 10:31

@Wineandrun totally agree- will be ace to get proper bumps! On and off I have a small bump, but pretty sure it is just bloating at the moment. DP got so excited and is convinced it's baby, although I've tried to explain it's only gas for now!

Moo2019 · 30/06/2020 10:50

Hi everyone,
I’m currently 13+4 with identical twins. Officially due 1 Jan (so more likely to arrive early December). Is anyone else in the same boat? I’d love to meet any twin mums!

Also had a question about which vitamins and supplements people take? I’ve stopped taking folic acid now but still take vitamin d. Does anyone take anything else?

MayBug2020 · 30/06/2020 10:52

@BabyG123 thank you - my BMI is within the normal range.

@Wineandrun I am going to be 32 in August and haven’t had any of those mentioned above. I think I will ask again x

BabyG123 · 30/06/2020 11:38

@Skyla01 I am 11+5 today but was 11 exactly at the scan. They said you have to be a minimum of 11+4 for the blood tests and certain scan tests too. They couldn't even give me a due date.

Back at 13 weeks. You may have to go back too. Was nice to see the little heart beat which he said was strong and fast to which I said a girl then?! And he laughed and said no comment 👀

@Moo2019 I'm continuing to take pregnacare plus I did into breastfeeding my son so going to do the same this time round as it's a all rounder! Identical twins 🥰🥰

@MayBug2020 defo ask again. I was on a boarder line to take it so she left it up to me so I just have been to be on the safe side.

@BabyG123 hmm ok so I'll just have to wait and see! At least I'll be able to check that pregnancy is viable etc. Don't mind having to go back again if needed.

BabyG123 · 30/06/2020 20:23

@Skyla01 not it was actually lovely to get another scan. 🥰
